Using for light hiking but keeps my feet dry and warm, plenty of stability at ankle and right amount in arches. Had a small defect and TNF replaced them, no issues.

Love these shoes! They are the best hiking boots I've ever owned and I've been through many brands!

Excellent shoe, period. I bought these to hike the Grand Canyon. I didn't have time to break them in, so I was a little concerned. I ended up hiking 15 miles down the S Kaibab trail and up the Bright Angel trail. The shoes were comfortable and I didn't have a single blister!

I have used these shoes for hiking outback and at local parks and they work great. Losts of grip and easy to walk in they break in quick too! Shoe is pretty light for size so you can get a lot of steps in without fatigue from a heavier boot.

These are honestly the most comfortable pair of hiking style shoes I've ever worn. I already have a second pair waiting when these wear out.

These are the third Fastpacks I've owned. Absolutely love them and will continue to purchase them. Tons of support, but feels like walking on a pillow. They also hold up extremely well. Each pair have so far have lasted twice as long as the two pairs of Salomon's I've owned. The Gore-Tex version are a great idea if you hike in overly wet areas but if not, you want your feet to breathe, so get the non gore-Tex.

I love these boots/shoes. This is the second pair I own. These boots are stylish enough to wear around town casually, but strong enough to take a beating on the trail. I still have the first pair I bought (version 2) which I used for everything. I used the version 2 in every climate and conditions, from cold and wet to muddy and sandy. They saw it all. The only con on the version 2 was that the webbing on the toes was wide enough to allow sand grains to makes it way into the boot and be stuck between the waterproof layer and exterior webbing. It was a pain yo remove the sand and you were lucky to remove up 90% of it. Looks like those issues were addressed on this version. Webbing is gone and replaced with a tighter knitted fabric which still allows your feet to breath while keeping the water out. I recently put them to the test, unintentionally, when we experience 8" of rain fall in a 24 hour period. I was stepping in puddles ankle high, trekking cross sticky mud and stepping on wet rocks. At no point did I feel my footing was comprised. The shoes had great grip when necessary. At the end of the day I found my socks completely dry. Hoping that future versions will be offered in more colors, just not white because no one needs white hiking boots haha

This is my second pair of North Face hiking boots and I may never purchase from another brand again. So far, both have held up well and are quite comfortable, which is the most important thing for me.

I bought these as a Birthday present for my husband. He has had three pairs before this one, he absolutely loves them for backpacking, hiking, trecking, it is the only boot he will hike on. Very lightweight and comfortable.

The color of the shoe I purchased is hideous (as there wasn't many options left) but the shoes themselves are excellent. The grip, the shock absorbency and the ankle wrapping is so nice. I should've purchased this long time ago. I can't believe I was missing out so much. I owned bunch of North Faces before but for some reason these shoes are very comfortable to use it in the strenuous hikes.

Poor SupportGreat Support
Lightweight, great traction and durability. I am putting in a pair of easy feet for arch support. The ankle support is good and that is the only place I had pain was around the ankle. I did lace them up tight though. My first trial was on the Skyline Route at Mt. Rainier and I was very happy with this boot. Zappos was super fast and returns are made easy by them. Very Happy overall.

Love these shoes. I owned the first two iterations and they were both fantastic, lasted forever and are incredibly soft and comfortable. After owning the first two models I switched to buying Salomon for two pairs in a row because I could buy them in person, but both Salomon shoes fell apart in under a year with minimal hiking. I mostly wore them for work, just standing around all day. The Salomons also aren't very soft in comparison to the fastpack. While these fastpacks will easily do 300+ miles of rough terrain plus some casual wear with no problem before giving out. They're just built better and really form fit the shape of my foot well. It's worth ordering online and waiting. Best shoes I've ever owned and I'm planning to stock up on 3-4 pairs as soon as I can.

I usually don't spend a lot of money on shoes/boots, but these were well worth the price tag. Kept my feet warm and dry hiking through Denali, AK. Super cushiony and not too hard to lace up. I'm usually pretty picky about how bulky boots get, but these were the perfect profile and were no problem all day in the rain or on longer day hikes.

These boots are amazing. Super light weight and actually keep your feet dry. My one hang up. I had to order a size larger to fit the width of my foot. And I haven't really worn them enough yet to tell if the pain caused from the smaller size will return. Make them for wide feet and I would order multiple pairs.
