Bought this bag for everyday commuting on the bike and it is an absolute pleasure to operate. The key pocket and quick cam adjust are my favorites. Was worried it was gonna be to small at first but that went away as soon as I started actually filling it up!

I used the bag once for biz travel. Great. I would like one change. Maybe it's me, but the strap is designed to force you into a cross-body carry. When jumping on/off plane, security etc. it would be nice to have the ability to just carry as shoulder bag. I did it, but it doesn't really want to hang that way with the cushion part of strap able to move. Maybe I just have to play with it more but in any case, I can tell this bag will last forever. Holds a lot w/o being heavy.

I haven't really used it yet, but looking forward to doing so in a couple of weeks on a business trip. I usually travel with backpacks that I can't fit under my seat unless I don't want any legroom or messenger bags that aren't quite big enough for what I need to bring. I think this bag will be just right from what I can see; just the right zippered pockets on the outside, I like the the pockets under the flap, and nice compartment that will fit my iPad Pro, Beats headlines, and other gadgets. I can see why some reviewers have said they wished Timbuk2 would make a slightly smaller version of this bag, and although it might sell well, I think it would just fall into that same category of "just not big enough" for those other people like me. Since I usually have a window seat, I think this bag will fit nicely standing up under the seat or leaning against the bulkhead. Feels like a great sturdy bag.

I was contemplating if I should splurge a little with this bag or just settle for another messenger from Timbuk2. In the end I took the plunge and made the order.
I ordered this on 9 May and it was delivered on 14 May in Singapore. Much praise on the quick delivery!
Haven't used it yet but loving it the moment I opened the package. The green interior matches well with the black exterior. And the flaps of the bag really does make it more rain proof than the other bags.
Have use Timbuk2's messengers and backpack before but this really is another category altogether. Thanks Timbuk2 for this wonderful product and for not regretting this purchase!

I absolutely love this bag! I got it about a week and a half ago and use it every day and I use it when I take day trips to other cities as well (airline guy here). It has lots of compartments that are easily accessible when you are still shoulder carrying the bag. Which makes it easy to toss your wallet, phone and other things you have to take off to go through security.

Have had a Timbuktu bag for years but starting new job wanted something updated. Saw the especial online and knew it was the one... camped out waiting for them to get back in stock and am even more impressed in real life. Look, materials and overall design is on point. A tad bit smaller than I expected, but really a perfect size and my previous larger bag always had me jamming too much stuff in there... this has me being intentional about what comes with...
Love this bag. Please make more products like this...

i just bought this bag - i was going to compare the stark and a custom classic - then i was shown this model - it's like somebody read my mind.. the combination of minimalist design + functionality, including reflective hits, waterproof fabric, pops of colour inside, a secondary laptop compartment with extra waterproofing, and just the right amount of straps and connection w/o stuff hanging off the bag everywhere - time will tell for durability, but this bag feels fantastic on my back , and looks great. 5/5 for design emphasis!

This bag easily becomes my favourite messenger bag. I came from a big fan of an Australian brand before. However, the padding on the shoulder strap for this bag is stitched make this bag can only be worn in 2 ways (left vs right) on the same position.
Please listen and improve the shoulder strap!! This is not a new product anymore

I think it's a little too flimsy, I was torn between this bag and one of the backpacks but I do already have a backpack, so I went with this one. Feels great, love the colors, but this style is not the most ideal for traveling long distances might get a backpack later

I've had this bag for two years and I use it everyday for work, transporting my MacBook to work. The bag has held up really well. I like most aspects of it at first I had trouble with the magnet class, but mostly have a method now to open them. Perhaps a small tab you make it easier. The strap still frustrates me it's difficult to adjust the length and I much prefer the system that was on the previous model. Still, I bought this same bag for my nephew I hope his youthful intelligence makes it easier for him to adjust the strap and work the magnets clasps!

I purchased this bag to replace an original North Face messenger bag which I had for many years. Brand new, this bag looks wonderful and the quality of construction is very good. I purchased this bag along with a khyte vx from Mission Workshop and I have to say this Timbuk2 blows away the khyte for 1/2 the price. Unfortunately, the only drawback about this bag is the often mentioned strap design. The free running end of the strap after sinching down tends to get bunched up and is annoying and looks bad. If Timbuk2 can fix the strap issues, it would get 5 stars from me and after reading many other reviews, I think 5 stars from many others. Last small things I have noticed but would not change my star rating: the material has a slight tendency to scuff and the Timbuk2 label on the front flap is only sewn on the edges and I am afraid it will get ripped off. Should have stitched it around all 4 side. I do wish it had a wider handle or some other means of attaching it to my luggage as I travel extensively for work and a messenger bag is always my carry-on. Final verdict, I like the bag, its worlds better than mission workshop which I am returning, and I hope this Timbuk2 lasts as long as my North Face bag which I will always miss.

I have had a Timbuk2 messenger bag for many years, and it finally was worn down enough that my in-laws got me a new bag for my birthday. This beg is better made in several ways, particularly the water resistant exterior. I don't think it is as aesthetically pleasing as the prior bag, particularly the fairly unattractive neon green lining. The magnets all over are taking some getting used to, particularly to open the main flap. Additionally, I wish I could move the padded shoulder strap to other angles than wearing the bag diagonally across my back as I inevitably sweat when that is the case. The bag is quite easy to wear on a bike, I must say. The large bag is also quite spacious.

It is a very comfortable bag and the materials are quality, it resists rain (tested), I really liked it. Unfortunately, neither my old dell inspiron 5000 15" laptop nor my new alienware x14 did not fit in the waterproof laptop compartment, it is too small. The outside pocket is no problem, but the zippered one is more for a 13" laptop.

I use the bag to commute both by car and by bike to the office. My only compilate about the bag is its tendency to not stand up right when opened.

The bag is great, lots of storage, good amount of internal pockets and sleeves. The computer pocket is excellent. I like the magnetic clasps.
I'm getting used to the shoulder strap. I wish that you could adjust the position of the padding to the middle of the strap.

I really like the black-on-black low-profile image of this bag, as well as the waterproof/resistant features. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted the shoulder strap configured, but once I did, I like how the tightening /loosening system works. Three things I would change: 1) Make the bottle holder on the side out of more robust material; 2) a retention for the secondary strap so it doesn't flop around when not in use; and 3) widen the bottom of the bag just a bit more.

Really well-made. Like the pockets and accessibility. Sometimes a little difficult to put on and takeoff. Adjustments could be a little easier.

Carrying my laptop to work. The impermeable pouch is small for a 16" MacBook Pro. Latches are a bit hard to maneuver

This bag is awesome. I love the material and design. The green interior make it easy to find items. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to adjust the strap padding so it could be slung over the shoulder. Besides that, it one of the best modern messenger bags out there.

It's a great bag with better organization features than other bags I tried looking at online which was the biggest reason for purchase. No regrets by any means.
Some things I hope would improve in future models is a better water bottle pocket. It's elastic can fit wider bottles well but a slight swing of the bag can send it flying. Also the strap pad is fixed, which doesn't bother me terribly but I do end up just putting the bare strap on my shoulder at times. Organization is definitely better, but I do think there is more room for smaller pockets on the inside.
That all being said, I'm definitely content with the purchase!

Quality is amazing! Nothing to complain about it, except for the fact that the measures advertised are wrong. I wanted one to fit my notebook, but considering the measures had to opt for the L. When it arrived it was way larger than the advertised measures.

Overall appears to be a sold product.
The slide on the major arm strap does not lock so it slides around. Which I am looking for a way to modify for my use. This might not even bother most users.
I purchased this bag only because my commute laptop bag needed to be replaced after 13 years of continual use. The bag had the features that matched to closest and could accommodate a larger laptop.

Great bag. The shoulder strap adjustments slides more than I would like. Otherwise, a great bag.
