I will preface by saying I buy new shoes about every three months, I service pools and walk between six and 9 miles per day in grass and on pool decks. These seem to be waterproof, true to size as I am a 10.5 and they fit well but I will say for a hiking shoe there is almost no support. I like a fairly stiff shoe with decent arch, these are extremely flexible which may be preferable for some but not me, and my feet hurt by the end of the day, actually within a couple of hours of wearing them. I do not have a big arch nor do I require a big arch support, these have almost none at all. My last pair of shoes were L.L. Bean waterproof, they were quite stiff and uncomfortable at first but once broke in they were good shoes. I will be going back to those when these wear out.

These are nice shoes. Seem to have good support and be build sturdy. They run BIG. I where a 15EE in most other shoes, but these are at least a half size larger and the 2EE felt like a 4E. I had to return them because my big foot was sliding around in them. Too much room in the toe box cause the heal to slide as well..

I wish I could have kept these - they look awesome, generally fit great and had several compliments - BUT they hurt my outside ankle bones so much that I had to return them. Basically the ankle area is thin and rigid and lines up perfect to make every step unbearably painful (for me). Now I'm scared to buy North Face so looking for something else.

I’m a loyal North Face products guy. However, these shoes fall well short of a brand I consider good quality and durable. I purchased these because I work outside regularly and often times in wet conditions. They held up for the first 4-5 months pretty well and then basically disintegrated. The entire upper separated and crumbled from the sole and were completely destroyed. They were comfortable and I liked the style and until they failed was happy with their performance. If your intention is to never get them wet or go hiking with them they might last a year with light use.

Sole wear to fast not much support and to high priced.

This show fell apart before the one yr warranty. The heel area completely came apart and the plastic dug into the skin

Fit was not good. Very uncomfortable wearing this shoe, specially the side of the shoes

The Ultra 109's are fine ONLY in dry conditions. Very disappointed as they are not even close to being water proof. I wanted to replace my old North Face Gortex pair, which were terrific in all conditions, with a more color full waterproof pair. The Ultra 109's failed terribly. I'm wondering if whatever process was supposed to be applied to waterproof these sneakers was not applied.

Not even remotely waterproof. Even in low water and puddles.

Marketed as waterproof but failed to keep feet dry after just 6 months...and no damage or excessive wear.

Water got into them from just walking on wet grass

I do Amazon Delivery and I bought these because I thought they’d last but boy was I wrong. Hasn’t even been two weeks and they’re falling apart. These sneakers are pure dog shit. Don’t waste your money.
