I use this on any hikes I go on. They help protect my ankle from uneven surfaces and are very strong on any rocks. Also grip well on slippery surfaces

I've had these boots for a few months now and they've been great for everything I've done, whether it be hiking in Colorado or getting through the snow in Kansas. They're comfy and wearable with thicker socks or with your everyday crew socks.

I've hiked with this boot multiple times and found it to be very comfortable. Very light. And good looking.

Very comfortable and durable so far. I would definitely recommend breaking them in before you take off on a 10 mile day hike. I haven't hiked through any creeks lately, but they do seem to be water and dust proof. Nice lightweight hiking boot. Overall, another great product from The North Face.

Straight from the box these are trail ready requiring minimum break-in. FutureLight could be swapped out with SuperLight - barely know they're on.

These are great lightweight hiking shoes without sacrificing durability and grip on moderate to advanced trails.

The North Face Activist Mid Futurelight fit great right from the beginning, which is a first for me. The style and material are great. I would highly recommend this shoe for walking, hiking, etc. I even wear them to the gym.

Bought these for a few days of hiking in the Rockies. Wore them for 15 km on day one and never had any uncomfort. We did a big hike with a scramble at the top and I had no problem with these boots and they gripped perfectly to the steep climb. Very comfortable and great looking shoe.

I was so happy when TNF finally came out with a mid hiking shoe with colors that I actually liked at the same time. Very comfortable as well.

Cant wait to get super dirty in these things. Great for hiking Everest really quick or a date or your wedding day or a day at the beach or swimming or mud puddle stomping or dog walking (cats too) honestly probably more animals could be walked in them or just getting sloppy around town. Call me 28 years young but I broke two ribs and rolled my ankle out in ten buck three all because of my shoes. A good pair of shoes are more important than your undies because a bad fall could leave a few skids in there anyway. Always a fan of TNF. Thanks for making me feel beautiful from my toenails up.

Great shoes. I use them when I am outside in the snow. Comfortable and no water leaks through.

Like the style and design, footbed comfortable, but tight across the tip... maybe too narrow. Otherwise would give 5 stars

I bought these because the Archive Glacier Point Boot was sold out of my size. Ultimately, satisfied with them though I won't bring them out if < 20F.

I bought these boots for a trip to Colorado where me and my wife planned to do some hiking. We completed the 10 mile long Gilpan Lake trail that had some little river crossings and had a total elevation gain of over 2,000 feet. Besides a few small hikes this was the first hike I did with these boots. First off I was weary of buying these over the ankle boots over just a trail running style shoe. But I figured I would give them a try do to the ankle support and waterproofing. At first it doesn't feel like my foot sits right in them almost like the support is hitting the arch of my foot wrong. I dont know if it takes a bit for my foot to settle down into them or what but that uncomfortableness goes away every time I actually start walking. Also, I realized that unlike my trail shoes I kinda have to pay attention to tightening my laces real nice all the way up and tying them well to make sure they feel and fit right. These boots gave me great grip on rocks and loose terrain, never had a problem with slipping and was very pleased with that. I insisted on walking THROUGH any water or mud I could find and would stand in the shallow parts of the river letting the water cool these bad boys off while not letting any moisture in, SUPER pleased with that. I got the green ones and think they look awesome! I would loosen my laces all the way down after long hikes and wore them into town and still feel stylin. Totally worth the money, would buy again and would recommend. I can't attest to the test of time as ive only had them about 6 months and only have around 50 miles of trail abuse on them. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they just don't feel right when I first put them on. I might try some new insoles or something. I dont know. Might just be me. None the less these boots are great, I think I might try and north face trail runners next.

Pretty good boots for the price, and look pretty cool too. I am surprised how waterproof the boots are. I wore them hiking yesterday and walked through plenty of streams and they didn't leak once. Seem very durable.

These were great. I took them out to the Cape Breton highlands, where it rained for 4 days straight. The boots are waterproof; the socks I wore without gaters were not. Water couldn't get in, but when my socks got wet, neither could not get out. I really dig em; they didn't take long to dry and are super light weight.

I just got them today so I have not had worn them much, but did go on a short walk. I purchased a full size smaller than my Nike running shoes and they feel pretty tight which is how hiking boots should fit, from what I've heard. They look great and stylish...I'm just hoping once I break them in they don't give me blisters.

They look good, feel good. The boots are great, but the biggest con of all is they are not waterproof anymore. In less than a year of occasional use, just walking through wet grass my feed get wet. At this price they should stay waterproof for at least a couple years. I have tried spraying them with waterproofing, but doesn't help for long, just too many leaks.

Very lightweight and versatile, but not waterproof. There was some snow on the trail and my feet were soaked after 4 mile hike.

I went on a light hike to a local hiking trail, which is about 3 miles for the first time with these new shoes. The shoes were super light and they had good grips on slippery surfaces such as icy rocks and muddy inclines. However, the shoes waterproof barrier was broken at the very first hike. I really liked the lightness and breathability of the shoes but disappointed at the lack of waterproof features.

These are my first pair of purpose built trail shoes. I bought these shoes right after I had to hike some trails in the PNW in Asics running shoes. Absolutely love the look of them. The color combo with the gum sole is unreal! Haven't been able to actually use them for hiking yet unfortunately. I ordered true to my size (11.5). I decided not to size up like many of the reviews said I should, and I LOVE the snug fit I get from these shoes. I was able to use these in the rain and my feet stayed perfectly warm and dry, which is a huge bonus because I would rather wear these much lighter shoes than my clunky, insulated boots. In reference to reviews that say they're feet were soaked after walking through wet grass: I've done that several times now and I can't explain it, but my feet did feel like I just stood in a swimming pool with socks on my feet, but I took my shoes off shortly after and my feet were dry. So, idk. My biggest con with these shoes - which makes it a 50/50 on whether or not to recommend them - is that there's ZERO medial arch support. That was the first thing I said when I put them on too, "Wow, these are flat." Even with the shoes sitting without my feet in them, it looks like they tilt inward, so it feels like I'm standing and walking on the inside of my feet. They just don't seem super sturdy or supportive. They're not the most comfortable shoes in the world, but I just love the look so much that I don't care a ton about plushness/comfort/refinement. Beauty is pain right?
