Best low cut shoe I've ever had. 20% grade climb = no problem. No loss of footing or slipping. I wish this was a mid top.

Great heavy duty trail running shoe. I love trail running without having to worry about having wet feet! Only downside is that it's a bit heavy and hot for the summer but that's to be expected from a waterproof shoe. Overall perfect for my trail running needs!

Used these hiking shoes on the trails in Yosemite and could not recommend them enough. Hiking the Mist Trail and Upper Yosemite Falls would not have been possible without these. Great traction and great fit.

I had a problem with a pair of Chameleon 8 Stretch shoes (not WP) and contacted Merrell about it. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. This is a company that stands by their product. They replaced the shoes no questions asked; I chose to upgrade to the WP model and I love them. I've read some complaints about the Chameleons being too narrow - that's why I love them so much! I have flat, narrow feet and these are a perfect fit for me. They are supportive and comfortable. Thanks, Merrell, for making shoes that fit my feet! Just fantastic shoes.

Easy to slip on and off, but snug, comfortable, and very practical. I wear these mostly for mountain bike riding and hiking, especially in wet conditions.

I work for a crop dusting service and I wear these to work everyday. They keep my feet dry and they are comfortable

The shoes were very comfortable right out of the box. I wear them every day of the week. I had a pair before these and they lasted a long time. I will buy another pair once these were out.

As you can see, these are my go to. Size up if you go waterproof.

Comfortable from the start-have had them for a month now & immediately was able to take long hikes. Also, enjoying that they are waterproof for those wet mornings!

I'm wearing them right now. I've tested them out in wet grass for waterproofness and they passed perfectly. I think they aren't very ventilated but that's due to the tight fit at the ankles. They feel great fit-wise. I like the tight fit at the ankles for keeping debris from entering easily. I highly recommend this shoe!

Solid build quality as expected from Merrill exceptionally comfortable the waterproofing is quite good but not totally foolproof if walking across streams where the shoe Maybe submerged up to Midway they can have a little bit of a tendency to roll your ankle if you're not mindful and I wish the laces were a little bit shorter cuz once you tighten them you end up with a lot of excess lace

Very good support and grip from the soles! Wasn't sure what to expect- lately I've not had good luck with the "hiking" shoes I've purchased- most were just for looks it turns out. These are the real deal.

Very comfortable and a great price. I've tried other very expensive shoes that were very uncomfortable.

I installed regular shoe laces from an older pair of Merrells and now these shoes are great. I have narrower feet and could pull the elastic cord out over a foot before the shoes were snug on my feet. Get rid of the elastic cord lacing system. Otherwise these shoes are top notch.

I ordered a 10, but they were too small - specifically the toe box. So I can't comment on much, but I will say how simple the return/exchange process was. Merrell makes it SO easy. I'm now excitedly waiting for the 10.5s to arrive. Again, the return process could not have been easier. I can't wait to test/review these shoes. The look/color was amazing - far exceeded my expectations and I loved that these are slips ons WITH the ability to tighten thanks to the laces. Oh and I'm always 10, so I think these run a bit small. Maybe order half a size up?!

I bought one for work and loved it .i bought a second for myself. I work outside even in the rain. Im secure and dry in these shoes. Very supportive and yet comfortable

I just purchased my fourth pair of these shoes and they are fantastics. My hiking shoes in the past never lasted more than a year to a year and a half and literally disintigrated. These last on average three years, are light durable and I only buy a new one when the soles where through. I cannot recommend these enough for lightness, durability and comfort. I definitely recommend. Lastly, the waterproof claim. It is very true.

I have loved the Chameleon line of shoes for years and the Chameleon 8 stretch waterproof has not disappointed one bit! The fit is perfect and the sole gives plenty of grip. I broke them in last week with my first hike of spring to The Little Grand Canyon in Southern Illinois. That trail has plenty of water in the spring and my feet never got wet with these on. Can't wait to give them a go in Colorado in June.

I have lost count of how many pairs I have purchased over the years. These shoes are not only comfortable, but durable and great in all seasons!

Excellent product. Was that Santee State Park in Georgia Lake Marion February 15 early morning got travel trailer ready and it was a major downpour the shoes got soaked and my feet inside were dry excellent product, also use these on the Appalachian Trail here in Pennsylvania and always wear them at the campsite.
