I have been running for 15.5 years. Half-marathon distance ready for 14 of those years. The first 8 were in Hurricanes. The Hurricane got rid of Plantar fasciitis I developed from my first pair of bad running shoes and I never had any problems from the first time I put them on. When Saucony switched to the ISO platform the shoe was wider and the footbed was not stable/supportive enough for me and I was heartbroken when forced to finally give up the shoe due to terrible ankle and foot pain. I have tried many different shoes and did settle on Brooks which is very good (and really good looking) but since running in them, I have had alot of problems with glutes and hamstrings which I have never had before. I took up yoga, which helped some but did not totally address the problem. When I saw this update, I just really wanted to give them a try. They were my first love and it looked like Saucony was stepping back to a verson closer to what I remembered. Well I feel like I have been reunited with an old friend. Very comfortable shoe with alot of stabliity and support. I was a little suprised that in the first week of use my glute issue disappeared and the hamstrings are easing. I have been running a month in them and really liking the ride. They are not the most exciting shoe in what they look like but definitely have the structure I need. I will be back in 300 miles for my next pair.

Really comfortable. Love that the tongue is nicely padded and is attached to the sides. It helps with keeping the tongue in place more, as I have a problem with it sliding to the side as I walk. The reason i gave these 4 stars is because I wish Saucony would design the toe area a little wider. Otherwise, a very comfortable shoe.

Very comfortable shoes. I have been wearing them in the house but road tested them today. They seem to offer good support for my pronation problem. They are well padded so do not rub your feet in any way . Nice colour. I ordered one half size larger as they tend to fit small. I think they are keepers

This is a nice shoe for easy long runs. Lots of cushion with just enough support. I do find the heel to be roomier than my other saucony shoes

I am not really a runner, more of a walker but need a good support for my foot, that is exactly what the shoe does, it supports my wide foot so I can walk a long time in them.

It is a good shoe, even though wide, it was still a little tight

I love the Hurricane line and this was a nice change. Usually when they change it up I'm not as happy with them but the Hurricane 22 is a nice comfortable ride for a stability shoe!

Still deciding. Much narrower in the tor box than prior versions, which I do not like. Otherwise good shoe.

The soft heel is nice for sliding the shoe on more easily, but unfortunately makes your ankles more unstable. It is especially bad if you get onto ground that is a little uneven. I have rolled my ankles in these shoes countless times , I won't be getting them again. If it weren't for the ankle problem I'd give the shoe a five.

I've been running since I was a teenager (and boy am I tired! Can't believe no one has made that joke yet!) and have almost always worn a certain brand. When my favorite shoe was discontinued, I spent a year looking for a replacement. I think the Hurricane 22 is IT! I have high arches, long toes, am a bit of a heavy heel striker and run 70/30 concrete/trails. The Hurricane-22 gives me enough cushion that meet my arches, helps with ankle pronation and the cushion feels great on the road. And I wore them on a 5-mile run right out of the box! Will prob buy another pair and I do sorta wish they had some more fun colors (rainbow, neon?) but I'm really happy to finally have shoes that I feel 100% confident to run in!

I have run in Saucony Hurricanes since 2001. For the last few years I switched to the Iso version of this shoe, but decided to check out the Hurricane 22 to see what they're like now. Compared to the Iso, these are way way more cushioned, not easy to achieve in a stability shoe. However they lack the sturdy sides that keep your foot in place as you pound out your miles. If you are wiggly footed, in your stride, you may need more structure than this. I'm also concerned that the cushion and the tread may not last as long as the IsoI run a LOT of miles...about 200 a month. My last pair of Hurricane ISO's lasted 700 miles! Let's see what the 22s can do...

I have owned these shoes for about a year and as far as walking with them they met the goal. But I rate them a 3 because I have to now get the shoe repaired if possible as a hole is now in the toe area. And no the shoe is not too short nor do I have long toe nails lol lol. So Saucony if you read this going forward please reinforce the toe area of your shoes cause this should not occur.

Shoes seem to be well made. I have worn this style before and loved them. This time my right heel is slipping and i have tried a heavier sock and also tried the outer top lace holes. Neither attempt to correct worked. Sadly I have returned.

I find the shoe a little too bulky compared to my previous Saucony shoes. The insole on the arch bothers my foot other than that it's a good shoe. I still stand by my Saucony shoes no matter what

The shoes are not Wide my small toe gets pinched each time I wear them
The arch support is also not what I expected
Basically it does not give me the comfort I was looking for as I am on my feet 12 hrs a day

The heel wears out very fast. The fit is good and a new pair is wonderful but don't seem to last long.

I've worn Saucony Hurricane ever since it came 25? Years ago? I do not like the shoe laces on this new shoe easily snags on things and the sole doesn't wear as well I tend to wear out the left side faster and this one was gone in no time!
I'm 76 years old and have been a runner for 41 years and hate to change models as I fear injuries and hate change, but this hurricane 22 has been a disappointment and yet I just a new pair as first pair's sole gave out so quickly!

I've had these for a month and loved them at first. I have developed pain in my hip after 100 miles. I pronate a little in my right foot and not at all in my left. Developed left hip pain, which I have never had before. Probably too much correction. Now I'm stuck with a $160 pair of shoes.

I loved the redeemer, but that was discontinued. Now I've gone to the hurricane. Great shoe, but the colors are just ugly. No brights, just drab, awful colors. I'm a big fan of Saucony, but like some color with my stability!

I needed the support that these offer and they do not disappoint there. I wish the toe box was a little wider.
I do not like the "foam" outer back. It (and really the whole shoe) gets dirty so quickly. I don't think they are a very attractive shoe...kind of look big and clumsy.
I did keep them as I really need the support due to plantar fasciitis.

I was a little disappointed this shows fit well only thing in my run I felt a little discomfort in the bottom of heel. I taught they where going to help better for support but I feel no difference.

Very stable for walking but more narrow that other Hurricanes I have.
I had to remove the under cushion and loosen the laces as much as possible. Not really pleased for this price but I've worn them outdoors.
