Birkenstock’s never really disappoint, but I LOVE the tobacco oiled leather! Excellent quality, as expected.

I have had numerous pairs of Birkenstocks over the years and have always loved them. This is my second pair of this style which is my absolute favorite because the top strap falls a little higher on my foot and I have no worries about them slipping off. I took one star off because the leather used for the straps on this pair is quite hard…I’m sure it will soften with time but a little stiff straight out of the box. Love the turquoise color though!

These are my first Birks, therefore can’t give too much info. I can say, I originally ordered size 39 narrow and they were too big. I had used the size your fit question and I stated a size 8 Croc was what I wore and it gave me 39 would be my size. I then used the size your fit question again and I stated size 8 in Nike sneakers and it gave me 38 size, which fit perfect. I ordered it narrow as well.

Not the color of tobacco. The pair I received are closer to a putty, not enough brown for me.

I was expecting a bit of a more narrow shoe. But what prompted me to return was that the straps are not soft at all, and rubbed against my feet. I know there would be a break-in period, but I felt like these would never be truly comfortable.

This model of birks seem to run narrower than the other wide ones. I ordered regular width but by then end of the day my poor feet were very swollen and somehow felt extremely squished and in pain. I own several other sandal pairs from birks all in regular width and they are fine even when my feet swell. But these ouch.

It is rare I meet a pair of Birkenstocks I do not like. Unfortunately, this was one of those rare occasions. First, I was surprised by the color. The shoes were described as oiled leather and the picture appeared to be a shoe of rich brown tones. The shoe is more of a sueded tan. That would have been OK but when I tried on the shoes the cross strap across the toes was uncomfortable, probably because of the uneven nature of one strap being higher than the other. My favorite Birkenstock feminine style is the Salina. I was hoping this would give the Salina some competition but for me, unfortunately, it does not. I will be sending them back.

While the footbed is plenty long for my feet, the arches in the footbed were high on the foot, hitting my in the balls of my feet while not providing support for my actual arch. This is odd because I've had 5 or 6 pairs of birks in the past and never before had this problem. The leather of the straps were also very thick and rigid and not comfy at all.

I loved the style of this shoe and was happy to find a real leather Birkenstock with the original footbed (not the soft), other than the Arizona. I’ve heard the soft footbed is not as supportive for those who need a high, strong arch support, which I do. Unfortunately, on this shoe the understrap of one of the straps over the forefoot digs in. I can tell it’s going to be a problem, and sadly need to return them. I hope Birkenstock will consider bringing back more leather styles with the original footbed so many of us love.

I hate to leave a bad review for Birks. I love the fit and support the sandals give me! I have a few pair in this style, but with different upper materials. This particular pair are the only ones I have in the Birko-Flor, which is supposed to be "skin friendly". Unfortunately, for me, it is not. The material made the tops of my feet break out in a horrible itchy rash - perfectly in line with where the straps were, so I know it was the shoes. I stopped wearing them once I figured out they were a problem and eventually (with time and medication) the rash went away. My Birks with leather uppers have never given me a reaction. I can't say that this will happen to everyone. I have really sensitive skin. I am super sad to have to return these. I adore the color so much!!! The sandals themselves are super comfortable, but I had to knock off a couple stars because of my reaction to them :(

These are going back and are absolutely NOT as pictured or described. They are a light tannish color - not tobacco oiled leather - and not "distressed" looking like the pic. Other people have commented on this as well. Why won't Zappos fix the pic and description so people don't waste their time buying something they didn't choose?

I can’t believe these came in a bag!!!! The shoe box was crunched. I GOTTA SAY, IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!!! What happened to ZAPPOS?

Faily certain someone purchased these, and then shipped back fake Birks. I contacted Birks support with images of these sandals and the representative said they could be defectives, but unless you physically PUT these sandals ON; you don't know the difference. These do not feel authentic at all, were an entire size too large and I am a SOLID 8-8.5 in Birks; so I ordered the proper size...leather felt fake, cheap and the sole of the sandal was literally cardboard with glue exposed on all sides...buy directly from Birkenstock.

Was disappointed with this shoe. It did not come as described. It was suede rather than oil rubbed leather. The color was much lighter than pictured. Also the style was bulkier than I was hoping. Had to return.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. My first pair lasted about 15 years. I was nervous about these NOT having the soft-footbed but that turned out to be a non-issue. These are SUPER comfortable . The style is much more minimal and stylish than my first pair. The color (soft green) is beautiful. I am so glad I bought them. They were comfortable from the start. I have terribly messed up feet and am always terrified of buying shoes. These are perfect.

Love the sandal however they sent a "regular" or standard size Birkenstock witdth instead of the narrow one.

Quality was exactly as expected. Love these sandles and would order again.

I like this Birkenstock's better than the other pairs I have. Extremely comfortable.

Look great feel great. I did have to tighten the straps as much as possible for them to feel secure, and might have benefitted from a narrow size. I have two birks in other styles that fit well and have two others that were too large/loose despite that in always 6.5, and ordered a 6-6.5.

Absolutely adore the color of these- they are so versatile.

They are Birk's!!! What's not to love? I have worn Birkenstock's since the seventies. Never have I ever been disappointed in the style, comfort and color choices. Their quality and dependable craftmanship is always "there"!!! Paring Birkenstock's quality and Zappos customer service is a joy to engage with. Love live Zappos' and Birkenstocks..... sorry, been watching too much British news.

Another excellent Birkenstock sandal

Great comfort and the style is attractive with the crossing straps over the toes. I was surprised to note that the upper is not leather. Still the shoes are more attractive than I expected.

I’m an Arizona wearing Birkenstock loyalist for 20+ years. Lured by the great price, I bought this unique colored Franca with unsure expectations. Great news! They are more comfy than Arizona and the color, in just the right light, is more gray than lavender; not at all an Easter egg surprise. Love!
