I SO wanted these to work - very stable, perfect arch support, but like some others have said, the strap across the toes digs into the top of my foot. If I adjust the strap, they are too loose. So sad... they would have been perfect otherwise.

I love Birkenstock shoes and thought I would love these, but the buckle at the front of the shoe bothered my toes.

These are cute, but they were too wide. I usually wear 6.5 size shoe and 37 usually fits me well. But somehow these felt too big. The arch support was located in the wrong area on my foot making them feel uncomfortable. I had to take them back unfortunately.

Thank you Zappos for letting me try both the size 36 and the size 37. I normally wear a size 6 or 61/2 in most shoes. In Birkenstock sandals a 36 is perfect. I wasn’t sure about the wedge style…the 36 is the best fit for me in these cute shoes.

As another reviewer mentioned, a series of small things added up to ruin these sandals for me. My main complaints are that the ridge under the toes is a little too far forward and the buckles look cheap and are difficult to use. Other than that, they were more comfortable than most wedges, but not quite perfect for my very picky feet.

These shoes are so cute and stylish, but also practical! I had to take off one star however because they are a little off on the sizing. I have owned many pairs of Birkenstocks over the years and I always order a 39 and they always fit perfectly. I wish I had at least tried the 38 in this style because the 39 seems a half size too big. Still, a VERY nice shoe...can be dressed up or down and is extremely comfortable!

I LOVED THESE SHOES. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS MY INABILITY TO FIT THE ANKLE STRAP SO THAT IT COULD BE BUCKLED. I WOULD GIVE FIVE STARS TO THESE SHOES. THEY WERE GREAT. MY FEET NOT SO MUCH BUT THEY ARE REALLY GREAT SHOES.

Very cute sandals - and I never liked the look of original Birkenstocks. I get lots of compliments and people always say- those look like Birkenstocks but with a wedge. haha….They don’t believe me when I say they are birks. Very sturdy wedge sandal. Caveats: The leather can stain your feet and needs some breaking in (I got blisters on my big toes from the leather).

These shoes were cute and fit true to size. I found the buckle at the front of the shoe to be a bit off size-wise for me. The tightest setting was too tight, but on the next hole, they were a bit loose. The wedge heel was very comfortable when standing. Unfortunately, the strap rubbed my foot a bit when I walked around the house in these, so I returned them. I was looking for a shoe I could walk comfortably in.

I loved everything about these shoes EXCEPT for the shiny brass buckle- totally gives the shoes a different vibe than if it had been any other color. It is enough of a gripe for me to send them back. Too bad!

I don’t love the gold buckles but the sandal is extremely comfortable and looks great with dresses. These are a keeper!

Love the look, but the leather is very rigid and unforgiving. A bit of a heavy shoe too.

It is not fair for me to write a review about this shoe. I have a SS. (AAAA) foot and just finding shoes that I can keep on is a blessing. I bought these in a 10 N (there is no such size as 10 1/2 any more). Try to find a cute shoe in a SS that is not synthetic and/or just plain tacky. I like this shoe. It is really cute on the foot. And, while there is too much shoe for my skinny foot, it stays on. Now, I just have to be careful not to turn my ankle. :) :). I am guessing it is true to size and width as it seems the right bigness on me to be true to s and w.

I ordered a size 8 and they fit my foot perfectly and the arch support felt comfortable. I returned them because of the buckle across the toe area which I felt might give me a blister.

Fit well. Ordered a size 5 1/2 as normal, plenty of toe and heel room. Width was great, cushion was ample. But where the front buckle crosses, the buckle is a bit large and dug into my toes. Also, because of the double strap area where it buckles it was uncomfortable. I couldn't find a way to ease the pressure from either. But maybe this will only be evident in a smaller size because there is less room for that size of buckle. They were adorable...wish they didn't hurt!

The sandals look great and are really comfortable but I almost had a stroke trying to buckle the ankle straps. The straps are too thick for the ring and I had to fight to get the strap through the ring. Then I had to fight to get the pin of the buckle through the hole in the strap. I'm going to keep them because they're so comfortable once they're on.

Comfortable, but couldn't close the ankle strap. I have normal sized ankles and couldn't even use the first hole to close the strap.

These are cute shoes with excellent support however the strap around the toe area dug into my skin when I walked. It is possible that the thick leather would soften with wear but I picked a different shoe from Naot that was soft and comfy from the start.

The sole of this sandle is extremely comfortable, unfortunately for my moderately-wide foot, the ankle strap was too small, and had no extra length for my foot. The toe strap was stiff and the buckle could be felt; if these two items had offered more comfort and increased length, I am sure that these could have become some of my all-time most comfortable shoes. Unfortunately, I had to return for these reasons.

These are very cute and I have no doubt they would be comfortable but the ankle strap was so short I couldn’t really get the shoes buckled comfortably.

Typically I am a size 39 in Birkenstock, but had to exchange for a 40 (which fit great)! Comfy & well made. I didn’t realize until I got the size 40 but I think the 39 pair was used- no original box and no tags, which the 40s came with. Zappos makes returns easy & the 40s arrived next business day which was a pleasant surprise.

I've been a 37 in Birkenstsock/Papillio for years but my toes almost come to the top edge which would be uncomfortable for walking. I'm going to have to try a 38 and get back to you.
