I like these shoes - needed a pair of reasonably comfortable slip-ons for around the house. But they do not have much cushioning or arch support, so they are not good for a long day on my feet. Not what I expected from Merrell.

Like some others I felt that the new changed lip around back of the heel doesn't provide enough of a cup feeling, and they don't seem as secure on my feet as the old versions. A shame, because the color offerings are very nice.

My foot surgeon wanted me to wear these. I ordered these in my normal Merrell size, but my foot was too swollen to wear them. I had to exchange them for Wide, which comes in a limited range of colors. I still wear them when my foot is sore, and they are in my rotation. Not particularly stylish, and not for extensive walking, but they have a role in my shoe wardrobe.

I love Merrells and have worn them for years, so I was excited to see the interesting new colors. Unfortunately one I ordered (the Lichen) looks nothing like the color shown on the website. It's much darker, almost more like the Olive. Disappointing, but still about the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn.

My husband gave me a pair of black for Christmas. I loved them so much I bought a pair in aluminum recently. Fit and wear just as well however the footbed of the right shoe squeaks unmercifully when I walk. Wish I could fix it but to no avail. Hence the 4 stars.

I live in the Encore Ice in the fall and winter so was excited to get a pair of Encore Breeze for summer. Love the sole and weight but unlike my many pairs of Ices, these have almost no arch support. Very disappointed. I got arch supports for them and now love them but disappointed in Merrill.

Love the shoes but not the stinky smell. Have been wearing this type of shoe from Merrell for years and don't recall this odor. Is a new material being used? Will air out for a few days before wearing and hope it helps.

I was looking for shoes that I could just slide into but that wouldn't move too much when walking. These are those shoes. They are also supportive and comfortable. Mostly. Like many, my dominant foot is slightly larger than the other, though with most shoes I don't really notice. The girth of these shoes BARELY accommodate my dominant foot, to the point that with even slightly swollen feet, I'd bet these won't fit. If I got the bigger size or wide width, they'd move too much. So, for spring, these are great. Dubious that I'll be able to use these much in the summer.

I bought these shoes because they are slip-ons. They are great slip-ons. Even as slip-ons, they stay on your feet and are comfortable all day. My only complaint is that they lasted only a year. But here I a, buying a replacement pair. I wear them a lot; walking dogs, in the rain, mud, dew, without socks. It is possible I have unreasonable expectations. My go-to slip-ons.

I really liked this lightweight, supportive shoes but had trouble with the sizing and the heel design fit and had to return them.
I normally wear a 10, tried the 9.5 and the 9. The 9 fit my foot great except for the heel which would not grip my foot and caused it to slip with each step.
I did read about the heel issue in reviews prior to purchase, but hoped it would work. I appreciate Zappos covering all the shipping charges and am sorry it didn't work out.

I have worn Merrell shoes for a long time. I am keeping this pair and bought a black pair too. It is roomy enough in the toe box for my problem toes. I put my orthotic in the shoe and it is comfortable. They will be my go to shoes till the snow flies.

I wanted something for the in-between weather (fall and spring) that was easy to take on and off and had good support for standing long hours. These fit that description, but they are just a bit short for their size. I'm going to try ½ size up and hope they won't then be too wide for my narrow foot. They are cute in an every day sort of way.

These shoes fit perfectly at first. After a few days they gave a bit but it is tolerable. I bought the Aluminum shade, which is able to go with all casual clothes, jeans, yoga pants, what I wear, mostly. They are supportive enough that my feet do not hurt at the end of the day.
