I am very, very satisfied with these boots. They fit perfectly, are comfortable, and may end up replacing my day to day, kicking around the yard wear. I've worn these extensively while doing yard work and will be giving them their first real workout as hiking boots in about 1 month. I was very surprised that there was almost NO break-in required. They fit and felt great on the first lacing. I'm an old hand with Merrill "moc's" having worn them for work (on my feet all day in the hospital) for years. Now I'm a believer in their footwear for hiking.

I have had my Merrell men's Moab mid hikers for about five years now. I use them for hikes around dry, rocky Central Texas but finally got to take the boots to Moab on a road trip through Colorado and New Mexico this past summer. The boots were wayy more comfortable than my fancy Salomon hiking shoes. I have flat feet and if a shoe is too stiff I get cramps in my arches. The leather is faded and they show some age but I'll be damned if I can't wear them all day and my feel great. After a long hike I just undo the top laces from the metal catch and they feel like slippers. They got a lot of miles left too! When it's time to get some new ones you bet I'll be getting some Merrell Moabs!

These are the fourth pair of Merriell MOAB shoes I have purchased. They are one of the few brands that my feet. I don't even shop anymore, I just order Merrill's. They look great and fit like a glove.

I buy a pair every 1.5-2 years because they start to get a little tattered but I wear them almost every single day. The waterproofing is great, super comfortable.

Lightweight but sturdy. Can wear them all day with no foot fatigue or discomfort. My second pair!

Soon as I put them on they felt awesome! They've held up great as well.

I am always skeptical of boot brands that tout their products as being durable AND comfortable, straight-out-of-the-box, with no break-in period. That's why I was more than pleasantly surprised, wearing these boots for the first time. I spent an entire first day in them, throughout multiple different locations & activities, with no pinching, hot spots, or blisters. They provide excellent traction and ankle support with no chafing. I would recommend buying a half-size larger (I did)--but that's left to individual preference. This was my first pair of Merrell Moabs--but they won't be my last.

I bought this to replace my North face shoe trail shoe that i wore down. It fits as expected. The waterproof feature makes it suitable for hikes here in the PNW but it is still cool and comfortable. It offers great ankle support and provides good grip on the rocks.

This is my second pair of MOAB boots & I refuse to settle for anything else. They look & feel great, the traction lasts longer than the boot itself. There's no doubt that this is a must- have for the rigorously active. I'll also be looking at other products for various other activities. Thanks again.

Love these boots hiked 6 miles with in a week of puchease through the Appalachian mountains on a trail with about 20 water crossings my feet never got wet. They are a little on the warm side but they performed felt great looked great will buy again

Bought the equivalent of this boot five years ago and it lasted five years. Comfortable from beginning to end and now I have a new pair and they are comfortable as well, right from the start. I do use them to walk 4 miles a day.

I have really enjoyed wearing these boots. I have not had them for too long, but I was able to use them for a 7 mile hike (with some fishing) in the RMNP. They were lightweight and comfortable while also providing great traction and ankle support. They were waterproof until I had to jump in the river to chase a fish. These boots are not designed to keep your foot dry when fully submerged in water, so that is certainly not a knock on the waterproof feature. I would definitely recommend these.

I was so excited to get these boots for our trip to Acadia National Park. This was the second pair ordered as the first was ordered to my regular shoe size, but when the first pair arrived, they felt way to snug in the toes and the over the top of the foot. Sent these back and reordered a half size bigger. These were PERFECT! They felt great straight out of the box and onto the trails. Definitely recommend ordering a size more in line with a quality running sneaker which is generally a half size over your normal footwear. Every sport or activity requires the right equipment to fully enjoy it. And that includes having the right gear for your feet. Sneakers are NOT meant for hiking on wooded, rock and root laden trails. They offer no support and cause fatigue quickly. These Merrell boots allowed me to hike 10+ miles each day and my feet and legs never tired.

Husband had the medium width of a similar Merrell boot, but they finally wore out, and his feet seemed to get wider, so he ordered the wide width. These fit well, and he has hiked comfortable miles in them already.

Super comfortable super lightweight and very supportive around the ankles. What more can I say, Merrell all the way!!

Haven't managed to put these to the test yet, but they appear tough and provide excellent protection while also feeling very comfortable.

I just received my replacement MOAB 2 boots, sooner than promised. My original boots (9 months old) developed a leak. After sending pictures Merril replaced them. Now that's great customer service!

I work in plain-clothes law enforcement. I could be in my office in the city and 15 min later be chasing someone with a warrant through the woods. These boots perform flawlessly in any situation I have had them in. Completely waterproof, which is a must for me. Zero complaints about this purchase. When it is time, these will be replaced with another pair of the same. Sized as expected.

This is my third pair of Moab's. It is the first pair of water proof with raised ankle height uppers. They are extremely durable and fit my normal size 10.5EE FEET. I did get them in 11W however to accommodate thicker socks. The only shortcoming is just like any other shoe-the insoles. I bought thicker insoles that accommodate higher arches. Looking forward to taking these on the AT.
