Very Comfortable from straight out of the box, and even after hiking all day in the woods and on the beach.

My true foot size is a 7.5 regular width, but I often buy an 8 in an athletic shoe. I bought these shoes in an 8 regular width. I usually wear Saucony runners for the little bit of added width, but this time I was looking for a hiker with good traction. I tried on different Merrells and Solomons and found that the latest styles are too wide at the toe. These fit like a glove with just the right width and length. My feet feel well-supported and the shoes are super light. The outside of the shoes look like they will give additional trail protection and outlast my previous Merrell hikers that had a flimsy mesh. I'm excited about the Viacom sole, because solid traction is what I want and need. Here's hoping, because they're super comfortable.

They are very comfortable and light weight - great for walks on pavement and hiking trails alike.

It is very difficult to find a trail worthy shoe that fits those of us with wide forefoot and high arches. This fits the bill. I now have two. Thank you.
