Great support and comfort. Waterproof will be great for fall/winter hikes along the beach.

All aspects were as expected in that I've worn this shoe before.

Great shoes. I tried several Merrell hiking shoes before landing on this style. The footbed was comfortable and seems like it will provide good support. They were also the most attractive of the options (which is secondary to comfort and support in this sort of show but will a consideration for me). I’ve worn them walking a few times and they’re great so far. The real test will be a trip to the mountains for day hiking, though.

Nice shoes but: The toe box is not very wide. They are a little stiff.

I have tried a few pairs of waterproof sneakers in preparation for a 3 month international trip. I thought these were comfortable and they fit well, true to size. I am going to return them in favor of On Cloudhorizon waterproof as they have a bit more cushioning and I preferred the style a little. But I liked these ones a lot too and think they also could have worked well, I just can’t keep both.

Very comfy walking shoe and being waterproof is a bonus on dewy mornings or strolling in the rain

I love my new Merrells. I had to return the first pair because they ran small but went up one whole size and these fit well.

Love the fit! I have bought these in the past in the older style and loved them too! I wear an 11 med width and these fit great. I bought the wide width this time hoping to be able to get heavier sock in them. I was right!. I never wear wide width but thought I would try it. Works great! Perfect fit for me! Gave them 4 stars because of the Vibram souls. In the past the souls of this style have worn down quickly. I am hoping these will last longer. I am trying not to wear them when going on long walks on pavement. That will wear the souls out quickly! I want to keep them for hiking on trails.

They are used at work and as everyday shoes. They are comfortable for walking. Breaking in time was unnecessary.

I have had this shoe in the past (not wide) and loved it. When I started experiencing foot pain due to arthritis in my big toe joint, I had to switch to wide shoes. Unfortunately this style of shoe no longer works for me because the toe box is not deep enough to accommodate a swollen joint.

I have a non-waterproof pair of Merrell Sirens that I got a few years ago. They were so comfortable right out of the box that hiked in them for miles on vacation without ever needing any kind of break-in period. I ordered these 1/2 size bigger since that was all that was available in the color I liked, and I'd often heard that you should buy your athletic shoes 1/2 size bigger than usual anyways. The length in these might give my toes a bit more room, but they are quite narrow! I tried loosening the laces, but the balls of my feet felt quite crowded, and that was was upon trying them on, not after hours of hiking. I was disappointed to send these back, but the comfort just doesn't compare to my other Sirens.

I usually wear a 10 1/2 in Merrell but this shoe did not have half sizes over size 10. I got the size 11 and as with every 11 I've ever had it is a little too big. Every shoe should come in half sizes over 10! Why not!!! Since I got these as a vegan, waterproof and warm (as opposed to mesh) walking shoe I thought I'd be wearing thicker socks with them. They are very warm so I do not need thick socks, but I do need them to fill in the extra space of the bigger size. My biggest complaint is the shoe laces. I must constantly retie them as they loosen up as I walk. Even with a double bow! Otherwise they are a nice looking, comfortable and warm shoe for walking in Nebraska's fall and winter cold and wind. Haven't had to use them in the rain yet, so we'll see if they keep dry. Thank you Merrell for making a line of good quality Vegan shoes.

Reading reviews, I decided to order 1/2 size up and I'm glad I did. These are just a tad tight in the toe box despite being W. They're snug, and a little stiff, but are comfortable to walk around in. Overall, being waterproof and soft around the ankle is a huge plus and will be fantastic for wet Oregon fall and winter walkies.

I wanted a low, water proof shoe for walking the dog. I ordered a half size up as recommended and it fits ok, better with a thicker sock. They feel a little stiff, and after standing awhile in my workshop, they get a little uncomfortable. But I'll keep them for dog walking.

Merrell shoes usually work for me, but the sizing was wrong on these shoes. They were a bit small. I have 3 other pairs of Merrell boots and shoes, all the same size. They fit. These don't. They are great looking shoes, so if you love them, order a half size up. Win-win for me though. The shoes fit my wife perfectly, and she loves them. Merry Christmas.

I REALLY hoped this shoe would be a great lightweight waterproof trail shoe for traveling when I didn't want to pack my bulkier Moabs. As other reviewers have mentioned these run narrow and on 3 pairs of slightly different sizes and widths, an uncomfortable crease developed across the top of my foot. Too stiff over all. I did like the sole. Sadly, all got returned.

The waterproof version of this shoe contains a membrane that makes it fit differently than the regular version and I can hear it "crinkle". I'm sending them back. Unfortunately, the regular version does not come in this great color, paloma/peach.

The shoe looks cool, and feels fairly good….. except for the bend in the toe. When one walks, the shoe bends so sharply into the toes that it is uncomfortable.

Would have loved to give more stars, but am So Frustrated by the industries lack of ability to grasp what WIDE means. Women need & DESERVE hiking shoes & we aren't all narrow footed - & "Wide" should actually be WIDE!

I almost kept these until I tried North Face Waterproof Sneakers. I bought a few Merrell Waterproof and a North Face to see how they fit. I usually wear Asics or Saucony, but wanted a waterproof sneaker for winter months in New England to work out in. These "fit" better then the other Merrell style, however, once I put the North Face on, there was no comparison. These were overall harder to walk in and didn't fit as comfortably. Not enough sole and heavier to walk in.

The problem is that the heel is too wide?? for my Rx orthotics which is usually not the case. my foot splayed over the edge of the orthotic. Plus I SUPINATE and this footbed must have cushioning because I can feel my foot turning to the outside edge of the heel, which is the way I wear shoes down. Opposite of pronation which must be more common of course. Great looking shoe with good support though. Disappointed, these are nice a lightweight, but in general so many shoes are "cheapy cheapo" in comparison to say maybe 8-10 years ago. Even great brands like Merrell. :-(

NOT WATERPROOF. I paid the higher price for the waterproof style because I walk in a lot of wet grass on my job. Sadly, I have wet feet after working. Do not pay the extra for the waterproof style - waste of money!

These shoes were half a size smaller than all of the different brands that I ordered in the same size.
