Customer Reviews New Balance Fresh Foam Cross TR

I normally wear a Women's 10 Wide in New Balance Fresh Foam 1080. I haven't been fan of the newest 1080 style, so I wanted to give this cross trainer a try. The length was good, but the width was NOT Wide at all. It looked and felt like regular width. The width was noticeably narrower when put next to my Fresh Foam 1080. My foot hunger over the soles on the side when I tried them on. I was sad because these are so cute. I'm only leaving this kind of negative review because I want other Wide width wearers to know prior to purchase. They were as comfy cushion wise as my Fresh Foam, though.

The shoes I ordered were a 10D(W), they are definitely not a wide shoe. They are actually very narrow. I couldn't even get my foot into the shoes. Very disappointed. I loved the color and style but, wish the sizing would have been accurate.

I really like these shoes. I was looking for something that wasn't too heavy. So many have thick, heavy bottoms. On the other hand, some of them are so light that they don't feel like there is any support. I think I sent 6 pairs back to Zappos until I got it right! (Thank you Zappos!) They have nice support too. I wear them a lot for just regular walking, so I wanted something that will really hold up. These are perfect.

I have long narrow feet and have a VERY difficult time finding shoes that fit me well. I typically wear a size 10 or 10.5 in regular shoes and 11 in running/training shoes. I ordered an 11 in these and although they fit fine, I didn't have as much room in the toe as a typical 11 fits on me. I ordered the B/Medium width, but with other comments indicating they run narrow I was hoping for a narrow fit and these were perfect for me. I did replace the insole with an arch support insole. I love the understated colors and love this shoe!

I really liked these shoes. Right out of the box! I liked the color and style. I believe the D width could be a bit better. There seems to be nice support and the foam insert is adequate for long term standing. I worked out in them today and the sole grips the floor during lunges and squats--no slipping. Definitely will be looking at this brand for more purchases. PS--LOVE ZAPPOS!

These shoes were a great choice for my low impact aerobic classes. My foot is on the narrow side and these shoes were the right choice for my narrower foot. I’m happy!!

Looking for a trainer for walking and cross training. This shoe fits the bill perfectly. My only criticism is the tongue fits a little higher so it hits my foot where my upper foot meets my leg. Not a big deal. Great shoe. I wear an 8 and I bought 8.5 in this shoe. I always buy my athletic shoes a half size larger.

I was really pleased that the shoes did not need any breaking in. Although they are cross trainers I found them extremely comfortable for walking because of the foam. These are comfortable and stylish.

These shoes are amazing, I am coming back to buy a couple more pairs. I have a wide foot and a high arch that is described as unflexible, I think is the term, and these are comfortable for both issues all day long. I purchased these because I wanted a cross-trainer type shoe that could walk and do side to side exercises. They give me great support in all aspects and are so comfortable. This is hard to fine for my foot! Love these shoes!

I ordered these in my usual size but in a wide width and it made all the difference. Shoe is snug without being tight. If you are normally a wide width you will need to possibly go up a size; or up to the next width.

Perfect fit and comfort. Walk miles in these sneakers without any thought to my feet...I’ve never had this luxury before as my feet have always given me problems.

I have a neuroma in my left foot, and I wear custom orthotics. I was looking for a pair of shoes to play VR games in... please don’t laugh. My home is all concrete floors so usually I wear my orthotics in slippers, but the lateral movement from VR games like Beat Saber were causing my foot to act up again. I first ordered a size 7 wide, my usual. They felt great right out of the box, but there wasn’t a lot of space in front of my toe. I got an 8 wide instead, and this is the pair I’m sticking with. I’ve included a picture showing where my big toe ends. My doctor told me I needed to aim for an inch of room. I’d say these shoes run a half to a whole size small- if I wasn’t wearing orthotics I probably would have gone for a 7.5. If you like as much room as I do in front of your longest toe, go for a whole size.

I am between a medium and wide width and the wide was perfect! Super comfortable!

These are very comfortable shoes but after working out a few times indoors I felt they were short in the toe area. I ordered the next size up and they are much better! Like the cushioning in foot bed

I like the styling a lot, but the shoe is very light is weight and structure. I wear an insert and need a sturdy shoe for my high arches so decided this shoe wouldn't provide the support I need... even though I think they're good looking.

This shoe looks great but has a much snugger fit than other New Balance shoes. The toe box is narrower, feeling tight around the foot. I needed to put my own orthotic into the shoe and while the insole was removable there was not enough room for the orthotic. I ordered a B width and it felt tight even without my orthotic

I am very disappointed with this pair of New Balance Fresh Foam Cross TR because without a shoe horn, I can't get into the shoes. Also, it is very narrow. I will buy a different brand next time.

Unfortunately, after wearing these sneakers for cross training classes, I developed a problem with my knee that I can only attribute to the sneakers because it did not occur before I started wearing them to workout. Though a little long, I did not find them uncomfortable, but I can't chance wearing them any further because of my knee problem.

Great shoe for fitness or walking. You can insert an orthotic if desired. Fits snug (not tight) with athletic socks and has good all around support so you don’t roll on the sides. Took me a few tries to find the right shoe as I have hung up my running sneakers for returning back to aerobics.

I needed a new sneaker for walking. I have pretty flat feet and these offer very good arch support. Also I have narrow feet and these fit great and then had room in the front. I tend to walk at least 5 miles and I feel no fatigue or discomfort.

I wear an 8 1/2 in most shoes, but a 9 in New Balance especially because I like to wear a thick Thorlo sock. . These shoes had a wonderful feeling cushion immediately upon wearing them. Good support and great comfort.

After trying several different shoes these were just perfect for me.They are light weight, very stylish, and with my orthodics give great support. They were roomy enough in the toe area to accomodate a bump from osteoarthritic on my big toe. Love them!

I like the look and I like the fit, I usually wear an 8 and the 8 1/2 was perfect. I kept these shoes.

I have used these cross trainers for several years and find them great for classes such as Zumba and Kickboxing. I'm able to pivot easily on hardwood floors. They fit well and support my wide feet.
