I feel this jacket misses the mark a bit. Overall, the jacket looks good. Here is why I am not in love with this jacket. 1. No hood storage. So in windy situations, the hood will slap you in the side of the head and face. 2. The velcro strip used on the sleeves is thin. Who cares? Because it's much easier when you brush by something for it to come undone. I would have preferred they used wider strips of velcro for adjusting the wrist enclosure. 3. The chest pocket needs to be 1-2" wider. It's weird. The pocket access needs to bigger. I use this to slide a phone into my chest pocket. I can feel the vibrate if I can't hear the phone (e.g. subway, etc.). When sliding the phone in, I have trouble fitting my hand and the phone at the same time, I need to put the phone half-way in, then the majority of my hand follows. Strange on the cut of the chest pocket. 4. I do NOT like the tightening system which is "hidden" from site. DON'T like it at all. It's hidden under the material, unless I'm completely missing something (which is totally possible). 5. A drop pocket would have been nice. Rather than just two side pockets which are angled, have one of them or both as hybrids that have a pull up tab to then drop items into quickly. I find these extremely useful when site-seeing and out-and-about. 6. Drives me NUTS that this thing does not have an interior pocket. It's waterproof - why do we need one? Because when I use the jacket to travel for work and personal, I do not like putting my wallet, credit cards and cash in my side pocket. Chest pocket is fine but I already use that for my phone (see above). Having an interior pocket matters. I read the reviews, the product description, etc. I know what I bought but just like this jacket...don't love it and that frustrates me.
Observations - No stickiness or rubbery feel. Feels good. I haven't yet tested it in the shower or in a downpour so can't speak to the efficacy of the waterproof system. Looks nice. Pretty comfortable too.

Let me start with the good. Futurelight seems like an amazing product. It is extremely comfortable, in stark contrast to GoreTex Paclite which can feel like you're wearing a trash bag. This jacket was intended to replace an Arcteryx Beta SL and, in terms of breathability, it is no contest. Futurelight appears to be the real deal. Unfortunately, the design of the Dryzzle jacket itself is less impressive, feeling as though it was designed to be more walk-around-the-city-in-the-rain than hike-into-the-wilderness. In terms of sizing, it felt like I was wearing a tentand not because I bought the wrong size. This could be a good thing if you are going to be using it as a shell over a bulky mid-layer but when worn by itself the jacket feels huge. Most of the zippers are not waterproof including the main zipper that opens and closes the jacket. Instead, they are covered by flaps. This design may be just as effective as a waterproof zipper without a flap but it feels dated to me, reminding me of my very first GoreTex jacket purchased in 1990. The Dryzzle also lacks a tapered hem that is higher in front and lower in back for greater mobility; and higher side pockets for easier access when wearing a pack. Both are features of my Beta SL that I've come to appreciate over time. The bottom line is that I could have lived with the Dryzzle's bulk, its straight hem, and its side pockets but I couldn't live with its dated aesthetic.

This my second coat. I cleaned the coat and it came of the bryer marks all over it. And the replacement is showing same state of break down. Just from daily wear. The northface should go back to gore-tex

I go hiking when I have spare time, and I bought this coat to go hiking in a bunch of National Parks. And it DID NOT last in the rain. Labeled as waterproof and I was soaked in 10 min.

There are no vents and if you sweat a lot your undergarments are drenched. It is a good rain jacket.

I bought this to replace an old shell jacket. I wish they had sent it back, my color option was no longer available. Ordered this for a good shell jacket, far from it. It is poorly designed, fits awkwardly, pockets are at strange angles, etc . . . You have definitely lost a long time customer with poor service in every department I witnessed. (phone, email ) TNF used to be the premium elite gear, it has taken a steep nosedive

This is a great lightweight jacket you can forget in your pack. It handles light rain but not heavy rain

This jacket was initially quite good however after three hikes in the rain it is no longer even remotely water proof. I live in the PNW and even taking my dog for a 5 minute walk in light drizzle has this jacket soaked through to my shirt.
Bottom line: over priced wind breaker with out waterproof qualities. Do not buy

I am wearing this on an Appalachian Trail thru hike and this jacket is not at all waterproof, as a matter of fact, it absorbs the water. I am very unhappy with this product and will stick with Gore-Tex for my rain gear.

Way too tight for size in comparison to other North Face jackets of the same size. Length was great.
