There is a thick plastic part at the front of the shoe that makes this shoe not wearable. It eats into my toes and will likely cut them or cause blisters.

I've worn NB 1260 versions 2 through 7. Due to the discontinuation of the line, I was suggested to try the 940 for my overpronating feet. My first and second ribs were ok. However, I started developing severe pain in the MTP joint on my left foot (only while wearing 940s). Thought maybe it's an anomaly and switched back to my old 1260 to confirm that the pain was absent. I'm guessing 940 build quality was poor for one side only that they're not wearable after only a few runs. I write this review because I tried them once again two days ago and now have a severely swollen and painful MTP joint for the last 48 hours. NB show quality has definitely gone down. Should have kept the 1260 line. Just my opinion.

Walk 5 miles daily. I wore the soles out in 6 weeks. I expected way more for a shoe that cost this much. Take a pass and get the 847 instead

I am on my feet all night at work and i think they need more ankle support

From day one had started to have pain in the foot, thought it might go away in a day or two but I was wrong. The pain kept increasing and I had to stop wearing the shoes.

I've been a LOYAL NB fan since the 80's and the last 4-5 pairs of shoes I have bought just don't fit the same as they used to. And that includes the "MADE IN THE USA" line. These shoes are not (to me) a SL2 last. They are VERY tight in the mid foot and heel. I cannot keep ordering and returning shoes to find that one pair that fit me like NB shoes used to fit.

Wrong size insoles after wearing entire day with annoying pains in front toes and discomfort removed insoles to see different sizes and new balance return policy says must be returned in new condition and worn for a single day very unhappy

So this is the second pair I've ordered in the past few months, where i got the EXACT same size I always get, and the same model (just a newer version) but with these newer versions, the shoes are a good inch to an inch and a half longer than they were previously. Why is that? For the 940s, I can at least still run and feel like I'm not going to trip over myself, but I had to throw the motion control pair I had gotten in the garbage (1540 v3). They were ENORMOUS. Like clown shoes. There was so much extra room in the shoe compared to older 1540s I had that my foot was sliding all over the place. It was legit dangerous to run in them. I've already switched to Reebok for my Crossfit needs, and now I am considering doing the same for running, which is a shame, because I have run a dozen or so marathons and half marathons and I always SWORE by my New Balances. I'd love an explanation for these changes in fit.

Described as a shoe that is good for flat feet but it is not stable and does not have good arch support. I had to return them next day. Still waiting for my refund.
