I stand all day long, at my job. I ordered these shoes online, and they arrived this week. While the shoe is basically comfortable, supportive, and stabilizing, I was really disappointed in the lack of arch support. If you have high arches, and are hoping that this is the shoe to support them, keep looking. I do like the shoe design and overall cushioned comfort, but I will need to find inserts to help build their lack of arch support.

They look nice and fit my husband well. I swapped out the insoles for him. Downside, he wore a hole in the toe box already. Usually, he can get 9-12 months out of a pair of New Balance sneakers before this happens, it has been about 4 months since purchase. The construction materials don't seem as durable as previous pairs of New Balance sneakers.

The shoe is very comfortable, but one shoe (the right) seems bigger than the other and fits differently. I have bought many NB shoes and loved them. I always get the same size and width. This pair just fits oddly.

The sneakers fit good and feel nice, except for this pinch spot on the big toe area. It's Horrible. There is a crease that forms and will NOT pop out. It puts constant pressure on the toe area since it pinches inward.

It's been a couple weeks and they're not broke in yet. I use them for work.(medical field). Last pair was a pair of 860s,they were great. These aren't quite so comfortable yet. I'm a little disappointed in the price also. Coming from the factory, I would have thought they might be a little less expensive than second sole, where I got the last pair. You know,no middle man. But hoping these are as good as or better than the 860s.

These are decent running shoes, but there's room for improvement. I was looking for good stability, as I over-pronate. These do the job of keeping my ankles aligned. There's a lot of room in the toe box, so my toes don't feel squished. However, there's an area of the shoe by the top eyelet that digs into my inside ankle bone which makes it uncomfortable. Interestingly, this is only happening with the right shoe, the left one is totally fine. I thought it would improve after a couple of wears, but it hasn't. Also, the tongues of both shoes do not stay in place and slide down the sides of my foot, which requires me to constantly adjust them. The tab where you can criss cross the shoelaces to hold the tongue in place is too far down close to the bottom, so it is ineffective. I don't think I'd buy these again.

I like my new New Balance shoes, I need a shoe with heal support and some motion control so New Balance is the way to go. My problem is that I had to guess at my shoe size. So I ordered size 11.5 (because in the past I was buying size 11 or 11.5 when trying the shoes on in the store). Now with the stores closed I am having to guess at my shoe size and I guessed wrong. I'm not a hardcore runner. But I'm developing a blister on my left shoe from sliding around in the shoes during my simple 2.5-mile jogs. I will be buying the same model shoe in a couple months but next time with go with a size 10.5 and hope that works out better.

Not good or bad, just an average shoe. Instead, I recommend you purchase the New Balance shoes with "fresh foam". Those shoes are worth the money

I have been wearing the 940's for years now. It seems like many of the newer shoes from New Balance don't have as much cushioning in the heal. These also seemed like they run a little bit larger than previous versions.

I love the shoes style and the colors. I always get size 8 in guys cuz they seem to fit me better.. but Oh no!!! They were long and fit me like if I was wearing clown shoes.... I wish they would make them in a smaller size so I could buy them again.

Disappointing. I bought these for walking and obliviously not the best choice. After my usual 3 miles my ankles, knees and hips ached, so little cushioning/ shock absorbing. Found current happiness with Nike Air Max.

The toe seal which is at the tip of the shoe (toe side) was bent inward making a sharp plastic like object jab into my big toe, fixed it myself with some shoe glue and now the shoes work great.

This is one of the few runners that is available in narrow widths (as well as extremely wide widths that other people might need)--I wear a men's US size 10B, which is considered narrow for men. Unfortunately, it is only this stabilizing version available, not the cushiony, air-filled, road-friendly sort of running shoe that I would have preferred. There is not enough bounce and shock absorption, which my 50+ year old body needs. Knees have been hurting so had to stop running and have just been walking. Overall, disappointed that New Balance seem to have only this "stabilizing" running shoe in a men's narrow size.

I bought No. 8 EE type shoes couple times in the past. I bought same size this time again but I believe actually larger. Indication is same, that means the shoes is made lager this time. It makes me confusion. I returned.

Have worn New Balance for 13 years. I loved my several pairs of 940v3. Many overpronators have a flat arch or flatter arch but not all. The v3 had just enough arch support for my feet but the v4 has removed or lessened the support. I bought mine at a New Balance store and thought they felt a little different. Later that day my feet were uncomfortable. Went back to the store next day where I was presented 2 insert options to modify my used to be perfect shoe. Spent ~$50 on an orthotic that did not help. Now looking for a new shoe style/brand
