I love these shoes. I use them for walking. They're extremely comfortable, and fit perfectly. I love that there are wide sizes available.

I do a lot of walking on concrete tile floors noticed at the very beginning that there was a great deal of new spring in my step! Lots of cushion good arch support and great styling could feel the air flow rushing around my toes keeping them cool and dry!! The only thing I noticed was that they seem to run a little small will order a half size larger the next time..

Tongue moves a bit much after extended wear but still one of the best shoes I have in my closet.

I needed a stability shoe and a wider shoe than my old 17-D New Balance cross trainers. The 17-EE 940v4 is perfect on both counts. The light-weight mesh-like material of the uppers and the wider toe box is wonderfully comfortable and the stability feature is just what the doctor ordered. I am ordering another pair, this time in the other color combination.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis pain so I need to wear sneakers that can accommodate my condition. The 940 have performed great after a couple of weeks of taking them on long walks. Definitely recommend for anyone who suffers from low arch or plantar fasciitis pain.

I am on my feet 10-12 hours a day. As a teacher and floor assoicate at a big box store. These shoes are comfortable and lend my weight over 275 a ton of support and comfort. Love

I really need the extra width in the toe box, some new balances with sizing (unique, I believe, among major brands) is extremely helpful. Three years ago, I had bought the 860, v.7. It was superb. But when I bought the updated version (v.10, I believe), New Balance had altered the heel, such that it was higher, curved back into the foot, and therefore dug into and chafed my Achilles tendons. Not sure why they needed to "improve" an excellent product, thereby rendering it (for me, at least) unwearable. However, their customer support was excellent. Even though the shoes I bought had a few miles of wear on them, they took them back, and gave me full credit for an exchange. A knowledgeable representative told me that the 940s still had the lower heel. So I exchange for those, and, true to his representation, they are great.

I've worn 940's since the design came out. V1 and V2 were very comfortable designs. I wear a 12 extra wide, and am on my feet and on the move 10-12 hours a day in a hospital setting. The V3 design had a more narrow toe box which felt pinched, causing me to switch to a different shoe, the 1140. It was OK, but heavier not as comfortable for all day wear. When the V4 came out, I ordered a pair and it was like seeing an old friend return. Perfect fit and all day comfort. So I ordered 3 pairs!
