Bought one pair and they ripped on the back heel strap. Sending them back and getting any help from customer service was incredibly difficult. At this point I have sent the faulty pair back and I am yet to receive a refund or even an acknowledgment that they have received them. Due to time constraints I ordered a new pair because I am hoping that was just a faulty pair. Time will tell.

I wear HOKA tennis shoes and they have been a life changer for me. These beach shoes are the clunkiest I have ever seen.

Loved wearing these sandals, but the material around the top started to pull apart. First one then the other. I ussually use the strap in the back as well as slipping my finger in to get the sandal on. I used Hoka's 1 year return policy and immediately received a refund.
I was told to send them back and the company would evaluate the issue and get back to me on a refund or exchange. They never did and I would have liked the feedback.
Great sandal, Great return policy, but not happy with the response.
Bought another one.

Ok overall. I thought there would be more cushion. Soft but not as soft as the sneakers.

The shoes are very comfortable, like having a pillow strapped to my feet, fit as expected. the Hoka sandals were a bit tight, I had to return for a half size bigger, and not as comfortable as I expected, with the shoes being so soft, sandals were a bit firmer, more towards a water shoe/ sandal feeling

Tighter fit than same size Bondis. Not nearly enough cushioning. This shoe was great in concept but not as great upon delivery.

Very snug fit. Couldn't possibly wear socks with it (not planning to anyway). Hard to get on because of tight fit.

Bought these shoes before a trip to Hawaii hoping they would do double duty as water shoes and hiking shoes. They performed just fine on short "hikes" to waterfalls and rocky beaches but not so great on actual hikes.
I had good grip in the mud and on the tree roots as we made our way to each waterfall we went to. Kept my shoes on when I jumped in at each waterfall and these shoes did well. Stayed secured and dried out quick. I was able to climb all over jagged rocks at the rocky beaches we went to.
Then I went on a 4 mile hike in Volcano National Park and quickly realized that trail runners or hiking boots would have been a much better choice. I did not get blisters like other reviewers have mentioned but I did get dirt and pebbles between my toes multiple times. Had to stop and take my shoes off a couple times. As soon as my feet started sweating the insole became a little slippery and made an annoying squishing sound for the remainder of the hike. Diamondhead and multiple other trails confirmed that unless I was planning on going IN the water with my shoes on, these shoes were not the right tool for the job.
In summary: Good for short, wet "hikes." Good for cliff jumping. Good for protecting your feet and improving grip on rocky beaches. Not good for actually hiking. Unfortunately these ended up becoming an expensive pair of water shoes.

I know these are water shoes, but they are extremely "rubbery". Squeaky. No cushion in the sole at all and no give in the rubber upper. Very challenging to pull on too because the upper doesn't give. In addition, the front hole on the outside of the shoe is right where my small toe is, which is extremely annoying and uncomfortable.

I walked about 5 hrs on the grass at the park. The heels feel good, but my the bottom of my two big toes are a bit in pain.
Am returning this order.

These seem like great sandals but I am forced to buy a size larger due to the Medium width. The arch makes them very uncomfortable.

Just uncomfortable-not like HOKA shoes. Footbed is uncomfortable. Straps lack padding. Nor worth the money.

I wear men's 11wwww in bondi, these said with would accommodate, and it does. However, the length strangely is too short!

Tighter with a more plasticy feel, I can feel they used more plastic in this version of Hopara (2023) than the version of Hopara they had out in 2022 which felt like more natural materials. The blue color in this 2023 Hopara is like a neon blue (too much, gaudy, glaring), nothing like last year's blue color which was much preferred and way easier on the eyes.
Normally I order European size, which for me is 43. I tried that last year and the shoe was a size too small. I had to get a bigger size. This year, I went ahead and ordered the next size up and it fits. If I had ordered my actual shoe size, it would have been too small. For some reason, you have to order Hoka's one size bigger.

Right shoe is giving me stone bruising under the balls of my foot. The sole of the right shoe is not positioned the same as the left. Very uncomfortable. I tried walking a few miles to allow break in but it didn't work.

I love these sandals. Women's sandals are too narrow for me. The men's width fit just great. The problem is the fixed ankle size. Hoka needs to make them with an adjustable strap.

Not nearly as comfy as any other Hokas. Rubbed blisters on each foot. With sock they're ok. Socks and Sandler?

I almost always wear a 9 but had to return it for a 9.5 due to difficulty in getting the shoes on. I really like the open design without shoelaces. However, the cloth over the instep is too tight to get the 9 shoes on. Even with the rapid lace adjustments all the way out, I was limited by the cloth instep piece. The 9.5 is marginally easier to get on! I would recommend this shoe to a friend as long as they try it on first.

Nice sandal, very comfortable however the heel strap has ripped out on both within weeks. Disappointing considering price.

I am a big fan of Hoka and have several pairs of different styles. However, I find the Hopera not as comfortable as I had hoped. It is quite heavy and does not seem suitable for any more than short walks or water use on the beach. I may yet get used to the shoes. I am still hopeful.

They are a nice looking pair of sandals but they made blisters on the outside of my heel on both feet the second day. I wear Hoka sneakers and thought these would be great but had to return them.
