Seems wider and slightly longer than the size 10 Tor that I have owned a couple of pairs of. Does not seem to have the same structure so my ankle tends to roil a bit, even with the same arch supports I've used in other Hoka's. In "going lighter" seems to have sacrifices some structure as well. Been a loyal HOKA buyer for several years, but beginning to rethink that.

The product was purchased 03-04-20 and it's 05-07-20 the item is going back. I like the comfort, the solid soles and the weightless feel when wearing. Now the BUT the stitching on the tops of the tongues has pulled apart on both boots. Returning them for new ones today. The returns are easy but should not be returning two month old boots.

This is my 3rd set of Hoka boots in 3 years. The last two both had soles that fell off. I am not a big user of boots. I take my dog out for her duties in the winter and I might hike one mile in a week. I don't run in them and I weigh 220 pounds. My last pair of Gander Mountain boots lasted me 20 years and I still use them.

Hurt my feet after the first week. Shoe laces are 'sawing' the fabric of the tongue on both shoes

not sure why but these are making my feet hurt. also, the shoelace seems to be 'sawing' through the mesh on the tongue (at the top) of both shoes. Those are two different pictures, one of each shoe

Put close to 400 miles on my first speedgoats with no issues. Purchased TOAs after I put a hole in my goats on a rock. Loved the ease with slipping off and on of the TOA. Sidewalls and the plastic coating around the base starting falling apart after only 3-4 miles on the treadmill.

I recently returned a pair of Speedgoat mids because rocks and sand get in the shoe and you cannot empty them out. On the same desert trail I had the same problem with the Toa. The larger Hoka boots do not have this problem. This design flaw, now found on two different Hoka models, needs to be fixed!!!

These were the same size as my previous Hokas but were way too long. Lacing hooks at the 2 top positions were awkward.

I took them on one easy trail hike to break them in and thought, like my Hoka runners, they are very comfortable. The next weekend I wore them to hike on Old Rag and the overlays peeled off of both shoes near the toe. A used a little shoe goo to fix the immediate problem but 1) it looks ugly, and 2) the overlay on each shoe keeps peeling off further back toward the heel.

Unfortunately I was disappointed. These are not comfortable. There's not much cushion and the right shoe is smaller than the left. Definitely a manufacture defect which is disappointing considering how expensive these shoes are. I would not recommend this shoe.

Not sure whether I got a badly made product or what, but just in front of the heel I could feel something like nail jabbing into my foot. I returned them and was quickly refunded the $.

Too spongy for me, resulting in a lack of stability. Also, the idea of evenly distributing weight evenly on the bottom of the feet proved uncomfortable at the end of the day. The foot is designed to carry the weight in certain areas and not in others. I really wanted to like these boots.

The shoes seemed counterfeit. There was no insole inside and the logos and markings on the outside of the shoes were off.

I own a lot of HOKA shoes and LOVE every single one... except the Toa. I refuse to believe that the same people that designed the Rincon, the Speedgoat and the Carbon X made this shoe. The shoe just feels clunky and pieced together. The most notable design flaw is with the clips for the laces. They feel cheap, likely to break and the top one is placed too high on the boot. The placement of the top one means that the tightened down laces will roll over the tongue and onto my shin. There is no way I would go on a long hike with these.

Its very hard on your heels and not a comfortable fit. Also very slippery on tiles and wooden floors. Slipped several times today and fell. First time wearing and not a fan.

The left shoe was perfect. The right shoe (1) arch was too far back in a place that was uncomfortable, and (2) the lip of the shoe rubbed repeatably creating bruising on my outside right ankle bone after wearing for about 24 miles. This goes for both pairs of size 11 Toa's that I ordered. The second pair that was not worn outside was returned for full refund. Zappos' REFUND POLICY IS INADEQUATE. I walk about 1100 to 1700 miles per year and have bought about 15 pairs of the same 3 shoes until they discontinued each of those models over the last 8 years. After receiving my 1st and 2nd covid 19 vaccinations, I will probably go back to buying my hiking shoes in-store.
I'd also recommend:
The North Face, Vasque, Saloman

The material is apparently the same gore tex as the speed goat mids I have now. They do not feel of quality material and they just don't live up to the standard I'm accustomed to by hoka.
