I really like the Challenger 5 WP Gore-Tex only have had them on the trail once, yet the trail was wet and somewhat muddy and the shoes got it done, Feet stayed dry which is important right now because the weather has turned cold, anyone who lives in the midwestern states can vouch for that!

I just could not get these shoes to work for me. I tried two different inserts. The best I could do was to use a thick sock, which was too hot. Too wide for me.

I could tighten up the laces so that the width though slightly larger than my size D foot is satisfactory. The walk is good on solid surfaces. Have not gone one long uneven surface walk yet.
I'd also recommend:
Merrill, Solomon--but their waterproof, trail, hiking heavy

I wanted a clean black casual shoe that had more of a trail-runner look and this was perfect. Fits great, serves the purpose.

The upper goretex material is a little more stiff than I am used to with hoka products. They are however still very comfortable even with long days on my feet.

I really like the product, but there are others on the market that are less money and still give the support of Hokas

I haven't used these shoes for trail running yet, but have for walking outdoors. They fit true to size, but have a slightly wider toe box than my other shoes do. This makes them comfortable for not only walking, but also for wearing around the house or out to restaurants. If you like cushioning, these shoes are for you. I feel like I'm floating along while I am walking in them. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Several of my friends have Hoka's. I ordered the shoes online when they arrived they were too narrow. I returned them straight away. The shoe I wanted is out of stock in my size. I received an email saying I would get a refund I have not gotten my refund.

Needed to exchange for the EE where as my other Hoka's are not the wide version. Function is very good for the trail hiking I've started recently. My running shoes aren't really suited for the woods. The fit is great, but acceptable. This is my first pair of trail shoes so I can't say if this is typical.

After a few runs and hikes, the shoes are feeling pretty good. There is a bit of heel slip that I'm learning to live with since I can't tighten the shoes any more without pain. Since buying the shoes I began receiving numerous marketing emails, sometimes multiple emails in the same hour. It was so bad that I had to unsubscribe from all emails.

I use these shoes exclusively when running in the rain. They performed as expected. I have a bit of a narrow, flat foot so this shoe felt a bit roomy, but otherwise a great performer!

This is a very nice shoe. Top Quality and it keeps your feet dry. Unfortunately for me, it's not as comfortable as my Speedgoat 4's. I tend to come down hard on my heels and after 5 miles in the Challengers my knees hurt. Great shoe, just not the right one for my running/walking style.

I've adopted these as my go to golfing shoes. After 18 holes my knees and feet feel fine. I'd give then five stars if the un-attached footbed didn't slip up half a toe's length in that distance. My bigger toes slipped over the foot base pad which slid back about an inch the first time I went out with them. I've had the same problem with the laceless shoes, which I love, but live with readjusting the loose footbed every single time I put them on.
I do wish Hoke would make a pair of golf shoes... call me!

This is my third Hoka one one sneaker. The first two, different models, were a comfortable fit from day one. This sneaker was a bit different. I kept experiencing discomfort at the instep, even though I had special inserts. After putting on approximately 12 miles, the discomfort reduced significantly. I have yet to try the Gor-Tex feature to a test.

Its not completely water proof but will hold up for a little while. I bought these to try because I am a mailman and go through shoes about every 3-6 months. Not sure how these will hold up to an average of 12 miles a day walking but compared to my normal postal shoe they are great so far.

I bought these for cold/wet weather running in the Midwest. I have the regular ATR 5 and love them. These feel a little tighter.
