Comfy and supports and protects my feet. They are also waterproof for sure. Just what I was looking for. I've purchased quite a few different Hoka shoes. First boot and I'm glad I tried them

Easily the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. True to size. Nice and wide toe box that can be cinched down for support. Feels like gliding over the ground. A little slippery I'm when wet on smooth surfaces but, amazing grip on all other surfaces.

To be fair, I've been wearing Hoka's for several years. My usual shoe is the Bondi because of the comfort, "plushness", stability and wide to box. I was looking for a lightweight, waterproof hiker that I could wear year round with the same comfort level of the Bondi's.
After buying a returning several other brands because of the uncomfortable fit, I looked around Hoka's website and gave the Stinson GoreTex a hard look. The Stinson's fit is true-to-size, are as comfortable as the Bondi right out of the box, and are worn daily except when at the gym. The GoreTex works well for our cold, snowy climate as well. The soles are very "grippy" even on ice and snow covered sidewalks.
I've received a lot of compliments on the Stinson's as they are well-fitting and nice to look at. These hikers will not disappoint and are so much better than a lot of the other brands on the market. I'm buying another pair.

Used these right out of the box at Zion. Super comfortable and light. My feet felt great after 4 hour steep hike.

Full disclosure, I am a committed Hoka customer, frankly the cushioning of their footwear has ruined all the previous brands that I've used over more years than I'm willing to admit to. I power walk and day hike for recreation and work in construction professionally. This is my ninth pair of footwear from Hoka. My favorite products have been Recovery Slides and Tor Ultra's. I have been distressed that the Ultra's are no longer available, as they were the best boot I've ever owned. Currently I'm wearing the Kaha Gore Tex for work and the Tennine for hiking, and have been happy with both.
I was looking for a winter work boot that would accommodate extra foot layering during colder days. Since the Kaha's do not have a wide option, I thought that the wider toe box of the Stinson Mid, plus ordering these a size larger would work for me. So far I would say this has been worked out well. I was concerned that since the Stinson Mid does not have ankle to toe lacing, that they would not lock down. I found that depending on the amount of layering, the lacing will still contract the mid foot as much as I want, and I have not had an issues with an insecure toe box. However if my layering is too light, this system does not work. Under normal circumstances the Kaha's perform well for me, both products have the cushioning that I expected, which is exceptional, but it seems to me that the fit of these two styles are quite different.

Good on all fronts, but also good-looking (not a typical Hoka). They look, well, cool.

Disclosure - I'm partially disabled... but able to walk with a forearm crutch, spending a lot of time on my feet... and I put a premium on stable but comfortable shoes. I have been wearing the Bondi for years and recently added the Stinson ATR to my arsenal... and they have replaced the Bondi as my go-to shoes. Don't get me wrong - the Bondi is a great shoe... it's just, to me, the Stinson ATR combines comfort and stability better than any shoe I have ever tried... until now. My wife (who got me on the HOKA bandwagon years ago) convinced me to try the Gore-Tex mid-hi Stinsons... and even though we live in the heat, humidity and sand along the gulf coast, these shoe/boots are greatness... Lightweight, stable and as comfortable as they can be. If you try these and don't like 'em, you are tough to please...

Bought to use for walkimg/hiking in snow and for snowshoeing. Have used in snow 3 times before it melted to point where boots were not necessary. Performed well, sole is good for traction, goretex waterproofing works, and cushioning is great.

Have been using the stinson low Hoka for about a year. For hiking I wanted a little more ankle support but with the roominess and comfort of the low. These Stinson boots provided just that - did a 7 mile loop today and feet are not fatigued and my bunion is not any more inflamed than normal. My older La Sportiva boots would have been aching my toe. Glad I invested in these ones.

I have arthritis the best sneaker I have ever worn. I also got a pair for my husband who has back and hip pain, he feels the same way. We were referred by a friend who recommended these sneakers.

It's been hard to find a waterproof high top boot that doesn't aggravate my ankles. These boots have performed better than any others I've tried.

This is a great boot. Almost as comfortable as my Speedgoat 4's. Feet stay dry in pouring down rain. Great cushioning in the heels which saves my knees. I ordered these in size 10, when all my other Hoka's are 10.5, and they fit nice.

Love these boots for hiking. My only complaint is the posts for tightening boots at top of boot are split to keep shoes firmly laced. Unfortunately lacing them is a pain since the laces don't go into the post holes easily

Light, good traction, stays dry in rainy conditions to a point. Warm and nice to wear even on warm days.

Took these out for the first time on a hike to Handies Peak in Colorado. The soles of these give back in such a way that support both ascent and descent. All I can say is I ended in good time, sore in all the right places. No back or knee pain.
Would absolutely recommend the Stinson!
