This shoe comes up on the instep & rubs the front of the leg. Not comfortable.

These felt very big and clunky and cumbersome when I walked. Also felt clumsy and not able to maneuver when I walked with them (I walk quickly) I have several hokas and I didn’t like these. Not even attractive in a cute way.

The plastic piece that allows you to loosen or tighten the shoes does not really work. On either shoe. Several people I know that have these shoes complain about the same thing

SO MUCH dirt, rocks, sand, mud, etc can get into these shoes and make a hike extremely uncomfortableespecially if it gets wet. If it rains, all the crap just rolls around under your barefoot while walking and it is PAINFUL! I recommend wearing these on flat surfaces where very little nature can get into the shoes. For example, I plan to wear them to Disney and errands but I will never hike in these ever again.

Big fan of Hoka walking shoe. Wanted to try the Hopara sandal. The sandal itself is very comfortable and provides support similar to my walking shoe. I am not giving this sandal 5 stars because of the lace. The sandal is wide and with my normal width foot I have to really tighten the laces for a snug fit. That leaves allot of extra length. It's so long that it nearly reaches the toe. This not only looks bad but is a concern with tripping. Customer service gave no options.

I found these very difficult to get on. An opening access in the back would be a recommendation.

I LOVE the fit, I have bunions and they are wide, BUT I used them in the water and they do NOT dry! I was kayaking in them and assumed they would dry off when in the warmer air, but they stayed wet for the rest of the day.

I was looking for an alternative shoe to Hoka running shoes because my feet sweat in the summer. This shoe looks nice and is comfortable, but, my feet were just as hot as in the running shoe. I returned them.

Feels great to walk in but my feet get extremely hot. Insufficient air flow for a summer shoe. Does not hurt my arthritic knees tho and has great walking stability for all day hill hikes.

shoe is for a fat foot.. toe box is nice and roomy, but midfoot is quite wide and can't cinch down. nicely cushioned but zero arch support'. footbed is practically flat. sturdy sole and upper is from nice material

After wearing the sandals for one day, the bottoms of my feet were sore! The rubber is stiff and unforgiving.

I purchased my hoparas two years ago and have only worn them a dozen times. They're great for the river and comfortable but the back completely ripped off after only wearing about 12 times so I'm very disappointed in the quality of this expensive shoe.

The shoes were comfortable in regards to the cushion for walking. However they caused massive blisters on the outside side of both my feet. Which was weird because it was the area of my feet that there was nothing touching my feet. Huge blisters on both feet. So disappointed in these shoes. My first pair of the Hoka brand shoe.

So disappointed. I have a couple pair of HOKA shoes that are amazing. So when I saw these I had to have them for a trip I was planning. I put them of after arriving. Just wore them for the day. Put blisters in my toes. I would return but not an option on the website. Yikes. Live and learn.

I love my Hoka athletic shoes and was very excited about these sandals. Unfortunately, they don't live up to the Hola name. They gave me a blister on my heel on one foot and under my ankle on the other.

the footbed is made with ridges which I could feel with my toes. my feet are very sensitive and this would cause a lot of irritation and probably blisters. also the straps near the toe area are sharp. they are going back

I had high hopes for a comfortable sandal similar to wearing gel-soled sneakers, but I was very unimpressed with these. The arch support wasn't great, they were hard to get my foot in to and they looked hu-u-u-ge! The killer was the sole wasn't all that cushioned.

Clunky, super ugly, too wide, and weird ridges on the insole that cut into the bottom of your feet. These went back the same day.

These looked HUGE on my feet and felt very clunky. I also did not like the negative heel feeling. not good for my plantar fasciitis.

No store carried Hopara in stock so I tried on walking shoes in the store for the feel and sizing and then ordered the sandals. So disappointing! Awkwardly big, hot-feeling even though it was a chilly day, and none of the rocker action. I bought these for summer walking and traveling as as a peppy alternative to my Tevas and Keens but these don't cut it. Sorry, Hoka

I was hoping that the sole would be similar to that of the sneaker. It isn't. It's much more rigid. I was also disappointed in the look. It would probably be a good water shoe but that's not what I was looking for.

I really wanted to love these shoes cuz they were comfortable and light. But we're very slippery when walking on wet rocks. I would not recommend them on wet surfaces. Which is the reason I bought them. I usually wear a size 8 but bought half size bigger which worked out great.

I am a 10 medium and these Hoparas were too wide for me. I tightened the laces but my feet felt like they were swimming in them. Felt clunky and big for a summer sandal/sneaker. Exchanged them for a Gaviota 4 and they are perfect.

Great idea but these shoes are bulky and in my feet were really hot wearing them inside the house in warm weather. Too much fabric makes them warmer than I would like for a summer sandal in the southwest where it gets hot! I love the recovery slides and hoped I would love these as well, but naw...they are not that great. I wanted another super good feeling shoe like the slides but designed for a woman...the recovery slides are unisex and they are so roomy that my foot slips through and my toes hang off!
