On a recent trip to Florida I saw a woman wearing these at a dog park and I had to find them! I am in love!! Right out of the box these are very comfortable and make walking a joy! These are the type of shoe that I may have to order a second pair to assure me I have this kind of comfort for years to come! I wear 10.5 and they ran true to size.

Excellent choice for my plantar fasciitis. They are very comfortable, well-made and have a rugged sole for anything outdoors. They are easy to put on and take off. My foot is a normal B width and I found them to be slightly wide even with the cinch pulled to the tightest setting. I will probably wear no-show liner socks with them.

These shoes are fantastic for hiking and trail running. They’re so comfortable I forget sometimes I have them on when I’m indoors. The only flaw I find with the shoes is that the mechanism to loosen the laces – – the gray plastic “lever “—is extremely difficult to press down and slide to make any adjustment.

I loved my Hoka walking shoes, but i cannot get used to these sandals. The inside has an irritating texture, and they give me blisters. Plus they do not breath.

Great idea a "Running Shoe Outersole BUT on SANDAL". I really wanted these as an alternative to Running shoes OR to sneakers!! BUT: these are not good for my feet!! I really liked the firm outer sole. I had seen in a store - but NOT tried on a Hoka Hiking boot because of it's rocker sole and SUPER soft sole material. When I tried these Hoka Hopara Sandals on for the 2nd time at home: NOW I understand what ALL the other reviewers are talking about. The straps pressed and WILL RUB on all the WRONG places on my "bony" feet (Bunionette and pinky toe). It is the MATERIAL that is NOT soft: like webbing on other sandal brands (think KEEN and Chaco). Not only are the edges of the straps FIRM, but the material is NOT flexible (like webbing straps would be). So a great sandal & good concept for someone else's feet. My feet are Wide in the toes; Narrow in the heels; high arch and medium to high Instep. They are "bony" and not well padded. Hope this helps.

I'm returning these because they have none of the cushiness that my Hoka sneakers do. Also, the high arch support is almost too high. The shoes look quite clunky, but I expected that.

Right out of the box, I knew I would love these shoes. My husband had reserved spots for hiking and overnight camping in Havasupai in the Grand Canyon and I knew I would need awesome shoes that could handle miles of hiking and crossing streams, with great traction for climbing up and down the beautiful waterfalls. As a longtime Hoka super-fan, I was so excited to see an amphibious shoe from Hoka for this trip and future awesome adventures! The Hoparas were great, my husband also got a pair and loved them too. They were comfortable for long miles but also perfect for running in and out of the water and dried quickly enough, and we felt safe climbing up and down the wet, slippery ladders and waterfalls with the level of traction. Unfortunately the back strap of my husbands shoe broke early on our 3rd day there (he had maybe worn them a total of 6 hikes) so they were unusable for the rest of the trip, big bummer. I continued to use mine for the rest of the trip, but really babied that back strap for fear it might happen to my shoes too. They really were awesome for this type of trip, I probably logged over 30 miles in the Hoparas over 4 days and the comfort level was 5-stars for sure--but the durability really affected my rating here as the back strap on my pair has also recently broken. The material along the back of the shoe just snapped, and although my husband and I loved these shoes I would hesitate to purchase them again or recommend them for fear of them breaking again. I wore my Hoka Stinson 6 ATR for the really long hikes in and out, I had worn them a couple months prior for the R2R Grand Canyon hike and another maybe 100 miles of hiking in between and they still held up great!

I'm so disappointed. I wear Hoka athletic shoes all the time and I was hoping the sandals would be reasonably comfortable, too, but the soles on these are a hard, molded rubber material and the arch is uncomfortably high and painful. Will return.

It was too clunky. Might look good on a smaller foot but looked like an orthopedic device on my size 10

I purchased this for walking and hiking. The first time I wore them, I did not wear socks and I got huge blisters. Mostly on my arches. So I must wear an athletic sock inside. Now they only work for about a mile then the inside of the sandal starts to dig into my foot. I now wear them for only short walks. Mostly leave them in the closet. Would have returned them, but they were worn.

I bought these shoes for my trip to Mexico. I needed a water shoe but also a hiking shoe. Honestly, when they arrived I thought they were extremely ugly. I put them on and they were uncomfortable at first. After I adjusted the lacing, they were very comfortable. I was only taking a carry on for a 2 week vacation so these and a pair of flip flops were my only shoes. I wore them on the plane and they were very comfortable. In fact, these shoes were perfect in every way. I wore them on the beach, on boat rides, walking cobblestones, and hiking up cliffs and rocks. I wore them with socks and without socks. I did get a blister one day of lots of beach walking with sand and water in my shoes so the sand was rubbing. But that was just one incident. I am very happy with the purchase of these shoes.

I love these sandals! However, I'm having problems with the toggle that holds the shoe strings tight. They keep getting stuck closed and I have to pull it to get them loose so I can take them off.

I use these shoes for Aqua Fit (water aerobics) classes. They are working out great so far because I need the extra support to prevent plantar fasciitis pain.

Full support of my foot in water or at the barn. Washes clean and easy. Pull on can be a bit tight but the struggle is worth it.

I use the product for everyday use and for my morning walks in the park. I can wear them with or without ankle socks. The heel strap makes putting them on easy. They help with my balance and I feel less foot pain when wearing them. I read recently that I am not your targeted demographic (I'm over 50, way, way over) but I love all of my Hokas. I have gotten lots of compliments on my newest pair

These are very comfortable - great for walking/hiking when I'll encounter water, for wearing on the beach, or when in the water when I'm boating or kayaking.

I absolutely love these sandals! I had a pair of Keens for years, until the soles fell off. Tried the new ones and they were AWFUL hard plastic. I love my Hoka running shoes and hiking boots, so decided to try these. I will never go back. Hoka forever! They are comfortable, supportive, attractive, and have great traction. I have never hiked in sandals before, but could see myself doing it in these. I do walk my dogs in them all the time. Never so much as a rub. Perfect.

My wife and I are long time Hoka Biondi 7 wearers and the Hopara sandel/hikers feel just as plush as our Biondi 7's. We bought them in preperation for a trip to Zion National Park and the streams we will be walking through.
