I bought the shoe under a recommendation from a friend that it's good for people with plantar facistis however it still hurts when i wore it to hike. i tried calling Hoka but could get no where!! I don't think the customer service is any good. Disappointed buyer

I usualIy wear Hoka Stinsons very happily, and was looking for a comfy waterproof hiking/walking shoe so I tried these. They ran big, and where the material bends over the toes they dig in. The bed of the show doesn’t seem as supportive as Stinsons either. These are going back to Zappos.

I really wanted these brown Hokas. I love to hike and have love all 4 of my previous Hoka Cliftons and Hupanas. However my heels do not stay in these shoes which are wide and too low in the heel. I have a AAA heel so these might be better for wider feet but these had to be returned.

I have a couple of Hokas and I love them. The fabric felt a little stiff and uncomfortable, maybe because it is Gortex. Also, the foot bed is not as stiff as I'm used to with Hokas and did not provide enough support for my arthritic toe.

I've worn 4 pairs of Tor Summits and this is my second pair of Challengers. Loved the Tor Summits and wore them from day 1 without problem at all! Then HOKA quit making them. So I tried a pair of Challenger and felt that they were an OK substitute. I now have my second pair of Challenger - and it's causing pressure on the bunion area of my left foot. I've had the bunion throughout all 6 pairs of HOKA, but this is the first pair that I have complained about. I think it might be time to try another brand.

Very Comfortable, but feel shoe will not last. For that price, I expect more than plastic around shoe laces, and lugs are already wearing after three weeks use. Will go back to more traditional hiking shoes in the future and just buy Hoka for walking.

I am returning this shoe because the fit is wrong for me. The shoe is handsome, though. I especially like the mushroom color and grey sole, the gortex and nubuck. I would be very happy if Hoka One One would make the Torrent model is these same colors and materials.

The shoe was fine on the toe but over the lace area was too narrow even with undoing the laces a lot and that is where my problem is.

With thick/seasonal socks I usually wear a 9. These are too big for me and the low cut heel design doesn't keep my heel anywhere in the right place. My feet are not "high volume" feet so I'm not too surprised but I felt the low cut could lead to instability, even if they were the right size.

I have a narrow foot in this shoe and hoka shoes in general seem to be too wide for me. Also the top of this shoe over the foot bed was a little bit stiff and because I have an issue with my big toe when I walked it was not comfortable. I like the look of the shoe though, so if you have a wider foot than me and don’t have a toe issue or any issues with pain on the top of your foot, this may work.

Sadly, I had to return my new Challengers. My podiatrist recommended Hoka shoes when I saw him about my painful hallux rigidus. Unfortunately, even with their D width, the Challengers I ordered were too narrow in the area around my swollen hallux joint. The toe box itself was very wide, but the stitching across the top of the lacing area is suddenly very narrow and constrained, and this is right over the joint. The shoe also felt very small inside vertically--my foot barely fit. I'm sure they're great shoes, but if your're buying them for hallux rigidus they may not work with your foot.

I previously had Hoka Bondi 6. I've recently experienced knee pain and wonder if it's because of using the Challenger vs the Bondi. Only time will tell I guess. I like both ... I just don't know yet

These shoes have good traction but too big with heel slippage. I'm worried about blisters although no blisters in my snowshoes! I typically orders size 7 in running and trail shoes as I wear a 6.5 in dress and boots. Good stability control although not as cushiony as my On Clouds. I do like the wider width.

I bought the Hoka one one Clifton. So happy with these shoe being that I spend 10 hrs a day on a concrete floor. So I was really happy to see a gor Tex hoka for winter months. I have wore these shoe 2;times and the comfort is not close to my others.

These fit well but made my feet look quite large. They are very stiff, at least to start with, and the sole is quite thick, which I don't care for. I thought they would be vegan, but after seeing them in person and looking at the Hoka website, I don't think they are. Nubuck leather was listed. Returned.

This is my second pair of Hoka shoes. My first pair are amazing. The very first day, I was totally comfortable and able to walk 8 miles! This time I opted for a leather, water - proof pair. Fall and winter I walk/hike more in the woods. I have had these for about 2 weeks and not at all comfortable. They just do not mold to my feet well and seem to slide a bit causing pain in my feet and back when i walk for very long. I am quite disappointed.
