I’m a Hoka hiking nut! Normally wear One One Challenger 5 but gave the goat a try. Like my other Hokas they run 1/2 size bigger. I wear 8.5 but 8 in Hoka Love them!

I love my Hoka. have run multiple marathons and lots of training in my Rincons and Cliftons. I needed shoes for hiking/ running Sedona and the Grand Canyon. These were perfect right out of the box. Great traction and very comfortable. I always were a 7.5 in Hoka and I do in these too. Usually half size up in running shoes but not Hokas

I hike about 150 mikes per month! They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn. They grip well, have good balance, the cushioning is perfect. The color is wild but I've received many compliments, especially when I color coordinate with clothes. I also get compliments on your purple ones but so far none with the grips on the bottom.

I have high arches and supinate, so when I read a review that these shoes would be perfect for my issues I ordered right away (because it is difficult to find a walking shoe that fits my needs). The shoe is perfect! Narrow in the heel, plenty of room in the toe area so I can spread them out wide, and great arch support. Also loved the color combination.

I love these shoes I bought them in wide because I have had issues with blisters on my toes and the fit is perfect. I run about 35-45 mi of trail per week and the cushioning on these shoes is unreal without compromising technical ability. I love the medium drop and the durability of the material. If you're looking for a comfortable, durable trail shoe that is affordable compared to a lot of other shoes-this is your shoe.

I usually wear a size 8 in my previous Hoka One Ones, but I sized up to 8.5 and glad I did. I had tried Bondi 6 and Clifton 8 and returned those that I ordered in size 8 due to being too short. The colors in the other 2 styles were limited as well. These Speedgoat 4 seem to have a fit like the ATRs I have worn for 4 years. But these are more stylish . I purchased the Imperial Blue/Pink Peacock, which is an awesome color (see pics). Hoka One One is the only shoe that feels decent on my feet. I still had to add better insoles, and my orthotics under then. I have a high arch and the shoes I have tried lately just do not have good arch support. I also have heel issues with the shoes they make these days. It seems that they put a hole under the heel and it hurts. So with Dr. Scholls athletic arch supports and my orthotics the hole is not noticeable. These Speedgoat 4 shoes have a nicer upper than Bondi or Clifton. They seem more sturdy all around. The grip on the sole are great as well. I just wish Hoka One One were not so expensive, especially since I have to purchase insoles and orthotics myself. With tax, these shoes were $155.

I love my Hoka Bondi, but the speedgoat was too tight in the toe box- had to return.

Why on earth did Hoka change the tongue? My only complaint, thus far. If I could go back to the 3's, I would.

Love Hokas, have been wearing them for years. That said, the tongue on this shoe is extremely uncomfortable. I changed my socks, then cut it down with scissors, then loosened the lace and tied it UNDER the tongue to keep it off my ankle. That worked, but it essentially ruined the shoe for me.

The shoe is sturdy and comfortable. It protects your feet from gravel and loose rock. But it could have a better grip when compared to other brands. Also, the toe box feels a little hard.

Wish they were more fitted to foot. Got my usual size in hokas but found them to be quite roomy yet not big enough to go down a size. Just a bit of "play" in shoe when running. Still, better than most other trail runners I've found.

These shoes fit well, although a bit bulky. The sole of the shoe is comfortable and is with good support. The top of the shoe feels like...idk, plastic (?) which doesn’t support my pronation. The tongue is also a plastic material and not at all comfortable. The money put into this shoe is clearly all on the sole. The graphics on the shoe appear to be silk-screened on. I’m not sure I’ll keep these. I ordered a 3 and am going to compare & choose which best suit my needs.

Unless you’re going to wear hiking socks crew length or higher, the tongues of these shoes are going to hurt your ankles. I ordered these as walking shoes so the tread would last through the winter, but after wearing them a week I can’t stand to wear them with ankle socks because the tongue is weirdly sharp and rubs right at my ankle crease. Seems like a strange design choice, but probably wouldn’t be that bad if wearing taller socks.

For real the tongue is stiff. I sent them back because although I’ve had 2 previous models and I know they are virtually the same, these seemed even bulkier than the last. Also after wearing the carbon x spe these feel very mushy. I’ll try again with the next model they are great shoes.

The tongue on these is awful - believe the reviews! Everything else is great - super cushioned, comfortable on the road or trails. I tried tying the laces under the tongue but that wasn’t great, so took my scissors to them. That, plus not lacing the last hole, and they are wearable. Very disappointed in this significant design flaw - but happy to have found a work-around.

I own a pair of Hoka's never cared for them from the get go, not enough room in the toe box and I personally think they are so ugly, BUT after wearing them for many months, and putting an Ortho Heel insert in, I have grown to like them so I thought I might try another pair. Ordered a 1/2 size up like I do for all my walking shoes. These were HUGE! And the style is just too big and ugly, I just can"t put out the money, the support in these shoes comes from the excess foam which is not really support, I like a hard secure support from the start. I tried to like these just can't.

I have worn HOKA'S for 3 years and swear by them. This is the first pair that my normal size 10 is too roomy, length and width. Ordered the 9.5 and it is just right.

The fit was great and the shoe was very comfortable however the tongue is awful!! It's hard and cuts into your skin. I like wearing a low profile sock. I tried a crew sock and it was still very uncomfortable. This would be a great shoe if Hoka would change the tongue. I love my Hoka's and they have been my go to shoe for years. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the Speedgoat.

I have an older pair of SpeedGoat shoes and I have loved the way they feel on my feet, they were amazing! Needing to replace them, I ordered a new pair of the same shoe. Although the cushioning in the new pair was even better than the older pair, the toe box of the shoe was so tight, my toes were screaming after only a few minutes in the new pair! Comparing the two, I found that the toe box in the new pair is considerably smaller and flatter than the older one, thereby squeezing my toes into an impossible cramp even with thinner socks! Suffice it to say, I had to return the new pair! It makes me wonder why HOKA needed to replace the rummier toe box with one that is obviously too small to accommodate even the thinnest of socks! I have a narrow foot, so purchasing the "wider" pair is not an option. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this discrepancy?
