I finally found the hiking sandals I've been hoping for! I have very narrow and low volume feet, and most Tevas look like ping pong paddles on me. (The exception is the Teva Olowahu, the only flip flop that is narrow enough for me to wear.) I wanted a secure and supportive sandal, so I've been trying all the Tevas. Most of them have soles that are much wider than my foot, and the straps rub when I tighten them up. However, the Universal Trail has extra padding on the inside of the straps and they tighten up well on my narrow feet. As far as the style, they're cute for what they are, but they are definitely more of a hiking look than a delicate fashion statement. I got the blue-ish grey color, and I really like it. As another reviewer said, I do wish these came in a narrow width, because the straps are longer than they need to be for me. Overall, though, I'm happy with these.

Originally, I ordered the green Universal Trail Teva(s) in my size (8). Initially, I thought they were ok, but I ended up returning them, because they were too long which caused me to stub the front toe of the sandal and "trip-skip" to catch myself from a "tumble" whenever I walked fast in them. So, I saw the burgundy and decided to purchase a smaller size (7). I wish half sizes were an option, because I had to return the size 7 burgundy sandals because they were too small. I think they would be an excellent and comfortable sandal if the sizes were accurate. I love the look of them!

I bought this because I read in some artocle that they were super comfortable. Unfortunately I did not think so. The bottom of my feet would stick to the shoes. Have to return.

I think one size bigger would have been perfect but that size was not offered for this shoe. I wear Teva’s all the time. I get into trouble because I like the sandals with the paddeing under the straps and I can not always find them. These have the padding but were too small.

Hubs makes fun of me for wearing these, but I love them! So comfy!

These Teva sandals were my constant companion during a 3-week trip in the jungles and beaches of Borneo. They were very comfortable, non-slip soles really came in handy in wet rocks or mud, and I was even able to wear them with socks to prevent insect bites. I walked quite a bit as well and they held very well for me. I can't say they're stylish, but I picked the sandals for function, not fashion. Overall, I would recommend them for anyone who is planning to spend time outdoors and needs good non-slip soles, solid support and comfortable adjustable straps. Even my bunions were comfy!

I was pleasantly surprised by these. The sole and straps are very comfortable, the fit is great, my foot feels supported, and they are about as stylish as hiking sandals get!

Very comfortable shoe. Fit true to size immediately. I've already walked quite a bit in these shoes and no rubbing or chaffing-supportive!

Great sandle, but the footbed is rough and it bothered my tender feet. I need a smooth footbed. I'm still wearing my 5 yr. old, leather, universals.
