These sandals are cute and seem very practical, but they fit a bit strange. The back ankle strap is really low and far back, it makes my feet feel like they're about to fall off the sole. The back strap doesn't hit my Achilles tendon, its lower like on my back heel- feels very weird. I wish the strap was higher, and that the velcro was on the back strap rather than on the front of the ankle. They're the right size for me just a strange fit. I thought they'd work out but I sort of wish I had sent them back before I wore them.

I would think I would be excited about this since this is my first pair of Tevas, but after wearing them for less than a week, it seems that the shoe has stretched, and since there is no adjustable back strap, it fits very poorly. My right foot, and only my right foot, slips and slides and feels extremely awkward in the sandal, whereas my left foot feels fine. Additionally, when brought to the water, as evidenced by the previous reviews, the sandals fit worse, and the foot slides back, making it very uncomfortable.

I loved these at first , now I'm afraid to wear them. I am almost 60 and normal size ( 5'3" & about 160 lbs )I walk my 4 Dogs daily but almost every day I wea these I trip ! It's like the sandals stop or stick to the asphalt & then I almost rip over my toe area . I fell two times years ago on " z " brand sandals that aren't toe enclosed z The top of this shoe tteupz me abs folds on itself. I sat this bc I tried 5 x of sandals before deciding on these last year! No rubbing blisters etc! They're ALMOST perfect ! If the toe area were enclosed like K brand , they'd be amazing ! Just be careful bc.I homely can't wear these I'm too afraid I'd be w my dog and fall .

The strap in the back was not adjustable, so my feet kept sliding forward and backward while I walked. I had to return these.

I have a pair of who knows how old teva sandals. They are wonderfully convenient with their plastic buckles to connect the ankle straps. They are adjustable over the toes, ankles, AND heels. I wore them almost every single day - errands, work, backpacking, water sports, wild adventures - until they finally broke almost a decade later. I haven't been able to find any sandal as perfectly crafted as these old Teva sandals. I thought these Universal Trail sandals would come close. Unfortunately the heel strap is not adjustable, and like many others reviewed, it is strangely low and far back. I tried on a size 7 that felt great, but were too smallthe heel straps on the size 8 I ordered fit my heel, but the sole is still too shortthe 9 would fit lengthwise but the heel strap would be way too loose. They also hit my ankle and big toe bones in odd places (I have very normal feet). Teva please make fully adjustable sandals again like my old trusty pair (RIP)! These Univeral Trail sandals would have been PERFECT if the heel strap were better placed and adjustable.

The strap closest to toes are a deal breaker, it is very narrow (and I have narrow feet)

I really wanted to love these sandals. I had previously had the Hurricane XLTs and had developed some blisters towards the end of their life on my toes. I attributed this to no padding, so I got these because they have padding on the straps and looked beefy enough for the hiking and fishing I do. I have developed blisters on my toes and the outside heel strap every time I have worn them. The heel strap is not adjustable, so even with the right size shoe, it doesnt fit my foot properly. This was my second pair of Teva sandals I have purchased, and likely my last. I really really wanted to love them, but I just cant.

The fit has changed since the pair I bought in 2018. The sandals don't have the same padding on the little toe and the instep strap hits my foot in a very uncomfortable spot. They just don't work for my feet at all. Too bad. I love the pairs from 2008 and 2018.

had same issue as the first pair i bought for myself, got this for my husband and had same issue with stinky feet and had to wash every single use in puerto rico which we purchased for that trip.

i tripped while wearing them got 5 stitches

The footbed has too many ridges, makes it uncomfortable.

I bought these a few months ago and have been wearing them moderately in saltwater conditions and the sole is already starting to split apart. Very disappointed in the durability. The Velcro strap is also sized differently than other styles and when I tighten the straps down there is almost no Velcro left to catch the strap and hold it in place.
