I already left a review, but got asked to leave one and it's relevant as I've worn the shoes several times now. They fit comfortably with my custom orthotics inserted. I wish there had been a little heel flap to help pull them on as they are mid rise. I have a painful foot condition in my left foot giving me pretty debilitating instep pain. I live cortisone injection to cortisone injection. So while my right shoe fits just fine, no issues, the left, while having a rigid footbed, which I wanted...love the Vibram soles...the upper only has the pull of the laces to hold my foot securely. I went on a more challenging hike today. No slipping! These shoes are light for hikers and I really appreciate that. If I could redesign them, I'd add the heel loop for putting them on and a velcro wide strap to go over the instep for more support. Just to make a comparison, if that is allowed, my last Zappos purchase was a pair of mid rise Hokas speed goats. HATE THEM. Almost impossible to get on even with a shoe horn and the negative heel is horrible and actually causes me to lose my balance while standing. They are way too heavy for me and I just hate them. (These cost about the same, so I felt the comparison was relevant.) Regarding the Teva's, we'll see in a few months how waterproof they really are.

I have a condition in my left foot and have to wear a customer orthotics. These shoes get bonus points for my orthotics fitting. While the sole was rigid, the upper was not quite supportive enough for my foot condition across the instep, so I did experience a little pain going on a 2 1/2 mile hike. They are wide enough for my wide feet. The heel cup fits well too. I’ll take them out for a second hike tomorrow. It’s like all other new relationships, we have to get to know each other. So far, so good.

Very comfortable and light weight. I haven't had a situation yet that tests the waterproofness. So I won't give it 5 stars until I know for sure that they are waterproof. Also the laces were a little too short. I could get a bow, but not enough to double tie.

I could not keep these. I tried them on w thicker socks and they were still too big. I may consider sizing down but I’m worried a smaller size my hurt my feet after hiking in them a few hours.

These boots are really cute and seemed to fit well. Nice wide toe box but no heel slippage. Walked a few miles in them and my legs ache from ankles to knees. Apparently not enough sole cushioning to protect my joints. Too bad.

I love these shoes - stylish, comfortable, great room in toe box and enough room for my insert. Unfortunately, the shoe makes too much noice when my foot bends as I walk - had to return.

These boots are the most lightweight boots I have ever tried. They feel like you’re walking on air. Unfortunately, they didn’t have much in the way of arch support, so I needed to return.

These were very comfortable, with a springy feel to the sole. I returned them, since I was afraid they didn’t offer the ankle support I need for rocky trails and wonky knees.

I so wanted to keep these great looking hiking boots! Unfortunately, they did not feel wide enough for me, and I think the good arch support did not work well with my orthopedic insert. Not the fault of the boot.

These boots are very cute (I got blue), and very comfortable. I wear a size 11 and my big, second, and middle toes are all the same length, and these FIT. While cute, these boots are kind of hard to put on. They could be improved with a loop on the back for pulling on, and at least two rows of lacing hooks at the top instead of eyelets to make it easier to open up the boot for foot insertion. But I will tolerate these flaws because they make my feet feel good.

If you have a wider for these are great. I would say if you are going to hike 10 plus miles, you will want to add insert. Super cute on. BUT!! There is no pull tab! I did t think about it when buying. But wearing them frequently it's a pain not having one.

I typically wear a size 10 but in this shoe the 9.5 was perfect, so I think they run a bit big.

If there was ever a boot that needed a pull loop at the heel, this is it. The lack of that loop is the only thing that keeps this boot from being rated a "5". It is becoming my "go-to" boot for light hiking and general wear because it is a very comfortable and very sturdy boot but that loop sure would be handy.... I sized up to allow for swelling after long hikes but i should have sized up only one-half size instead of a full size. Love the width of the foot box!

As in the product description, toe bed is crazy wide and size 8 looks a full size too large for my normally size 7.5-8 feet. I put in a $30 orthotic insert because I've got high arches. While I was impressed with the idea of a heavy strap supporting the ankle area, I quickly realized it's mostly for looks. It does tighten slightly with shoelace tightening but it seems almost impossible to tighten the laces closer to the toe bed area. I'm going to keep them and use thicker socks because I don't want to deal with sore toe nails from steep downward treks.

Love this boot, light weight but feels supper supportive. Hiking in the mountains, the gortex keeps you dry. And they look good.

I wanted to love these shoes, but they rubbed the side of my slightly wide foot in a really uncomfortable way, so they are going back. They are really great looking and felt very lightweight compared to other hikers. They look more like high top sneakers than traditional hiking boots. The blue and yellow color combination is really pretty. The tongue is attached high into the top of the shoe to keep water and debris out.

Love them, but I have wider feet and they hurt after wearing one day. I'll need to stretch them out further to get them comfortable.

These were comfortable but I expected a TEVA footbed like they use in their Omnium sandals. Instead, the footbed is completely flat, no arch support. The toe box is roomy, which is good. They're fine for wearing around the house, but I wouldn't want to be hiking in them for an extended period of time.

The circulation in my left foot was compromised. I think if there was a wide option the fit would've been better. I love the appearance.

I did about 10 miles hiking and 2 full travel days in these boots in Utah and all I can say is that they really annoyed me. My specs- size 9, average width, slightly high arch. The positives are that these boots are very cute, lightweight, and I never got a blister despite wearing them fresh out of the box. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives. The soles have very little support and my heels would quickly ache, but there wasn’t enough extra room for me to add a thicker insole. The wide toebox initially interested me, but I found it is not good if hiking any kind of decline because your toes slide around and stability is greatly reduced. The shoe also tightened on the widest part of my foot and caused numbness that I could only get rid of if I laced loosely but then the boots weren’t secure enough to hike in. But even with laces completely loose, the shoe was so tight on the widest part of my foot that I could never get comfortable in them. It wasn’t horrible pain but just enough to keep me annoyed! Overall I’m super bummed about this purchase, I was hoping they’d stretch out but no luck. These may work for a person with very narrow feet and low arch.

Very cute. Very lightweight for a hiking boot. For me - I am a pronator and have a weak ankle - I’d see this more as a casual shoe to wear when running errands in the Pacific Northwest or something, not something I’d reach for when doing an actual hike on unsteady terrain. Ultimately decided to return because I’d want a half size bigger and the other pair of boots I ordered to try on worked on the first try.

These shoes were so comfortable at first because they are perfect for people with wide feet but they are not waterproof at all or made for cold weather! I've been wearing them a ton since I'm backpacking and they are definitely made for warm dry weather which I wish I knew before. They held up perfectly until about 40 degrees Fahrenheit though. I normally wear a size 5.5 and bought a 5.5 and a 6 and wish I went with the 5.5 after wearing the 6's for a month. On the bright side they are really good quality shoes.
