Has Teva quality gone down? My husband took these out for very light water play and they broke. Bought these to replace his old Tevas which have stood the test of time. I guess Teva doesn't make them like they used. Perhaps avoid this model.

What the deal with junk? I've previously got 3 summers of wear out of my Teva's. Poor quality

After wearing the sandals for 2 days I had a severe allergic to the straps on my right foot. The entire area under the strap was covered in red blisters. I don't know if there was a residue of some substance on the strap but I have never had a reaction like that. I did not get into poison ivy nor was it caused by bug bites. I had to visit my physician to get treatment.

I went hiking in these sandals about 10 times, three times. I was in mountain streams there times, twice in the sand. After that, the arch support in the left sandal shifted from the center to the toe, turning into a hard bump. There is a cavity between the outer sole and the inner sole, and the arch support rolls in it. I had to cut the sole to take out the arch support. Otherwise, the shoes were impossible to use. I found that water and sand remained in the cavity. I realized after researching tracks on the support, the arch support was held on by a couple of drops of glue!! Incredibly poor build quality! Just imagine that water and sand can easily get between the layers of the sole. This is a disgrace to the brand.

My father wore his Tevas for 20 years many times a week. His Tevas are little bit bitten down but still have their original shape and sturdiness. I purchased mine only one year and a month ago, on 3/26/2024. They broke about a week ago. One of the straps blew clean off after use 4 times a week. It appeared that quality decreased dramatically over the years. I am not sure that I can trust and rely on the brand as my dad once did.

I bought this pair of hiking sandals for travelling and hiking. Within the first week of use one of the straps had pulled out of the sole. I contacted Teva to organise a replacement and they were absolutely useless. I had to glue the strap back in myself. This same problem has now happened to 4 of the points where the strap inserts to the sole. Each time I have to glue them back together because I am still travelling and have no other option. Do not buy Tevas, they have easily been the biggest waste of money of any of my equipment.

I never received the product I ordered. Customer service emailed me to my surprise that they approved my return/refund. I was surprised due to the fact, I had never contacted them on this issue. I have moved off from Teva, will never buy their product again

These sandals lasted a measly two months of light walking and wear before a strap detached. Then things got worse, I contacted Teva about a warranty replacement just to find out I would have to pay shipping to send them back AND they would only give me store credit for MSRP. No thanks, I'm not paying shipping and tax a second time to replace your faulty product that you apparently don't stand by.

i have been wearing Teva sandals for many years. My last pair came apart where the strap attaches under the heel after I had worn them about a year. I thought it was a fluke. This pair did the same thing after less than two months. It is obvious that Teva has altered its manufacturing process by eliminating the continuous strap under the heel. Instead, the strap is now in two pieces under the heel and it appears to be held together by some sort of flimsy tape. I am very disappointed as Teva's have always been my go-to summer footwear. Now I have to find something else. Customers: don't buy these!

Bought 14 months ago and the back left strap failed. Shortest that I have had sandals last. Neither LL Bean or Teva will stand behind their product because it's 2 months past their policy. Straight to the trash.

I've had these sandal's for four days and used them for nothing more then walking around the house. Two of the back straps popped out of one of the sandals. It looks like glue came loose. They were comfortable but I will return these. They are way to expensive to have this type of defect. A simple search shows this happens often.

Been a fan of these sandals for over 20 years and wore them all over the world, not anymore. Wrote Teva CS and never heard from them. Had these for under 25 miles and less than 3 months. The strap on the left side of the back broke out of the sandal. It was a short strap that was glued in, not the all the way through one piece they once were. Complete garbage, beware!

Wore them to the river because they are water shoes. Have never purchased Tevas before this. Bought these for my boyfriend who has had the same pair of Tevas for 20+ years. Never bought a pair for myself, I like Keen's. Needless to say, not impressed by the product. However, I did ask for an exchange to give them another try. I know they are an established and trusted product. Hopefully this was a fluke. Or maybe your product is not made as well as it used to be

It's been a bit over a month since my purchase and I have a problem. One of the straps separated from the sole. I am hoping this is a fluke, that they will be replaced under warranty, and that it won't happen again.

Simply all straps simply let loose from the footbed, showing that these straps are just GLUED to the sole, rather than a proper stitch or another solid construction. If you're serious about your trip/journey, DON'T buy these sandals. They will break and fail on you, as they did on me.

I owned my Terra Fi shoes for 3 months and had walked only about 50km in them. While walking on a flat concrete surface the strap pulled out of the sole. I was shocked for two reason - 1) I always thought Teva's claim to fame was that the straps went all the way under and through the sole so the strap would be reliable and not break, and 2) the shoes had hardly any load on them so broke under easy conditions. I reported the problem to Teva customer support on Twitter as I'm currently traveling in Thailand. Teva customer support, to their commendable credit, organised a new pair to be sent out to me which I am thankful for but I now have no confidence to wear these shoes on a hike as I have seen how they are made and fear they will break under load and possibly cause an injury. As an engineer myself I was dismayed at the anchoring mechanism used for the strap. At the end of the day I think the design manager should be fired for allowing this to happen, or if the design manager tried to preserve quality but was overruled by executive management, then someone there needs to take the fall. I am sure there will be hundreds if not thousands of returns of these shoes.

I've owned 3 pairs of Tevas in 14 years and I do everything in them My fourth pair, these completely fell apart just over a year when they were out of warranty. Very disappointing for the price and the how great my old ones were.

I've been wearing Tevas for decades. They used to last at least five years. My last several pairs fell apart after six months. Yes they replaced under warranty but that's not the point. There fail in quality is not being dealt with.
