Customer Reviews ASICS GEL-Contend® 6

I loved these shoes when they arrived. I hiked 5 miles in them with no problem, yet two days later when I tried the same route I could only get 1/4 of a mile before I had severe shooting pains up the side of my leg. A couple of days of stretching and pilates later I put them on before my walk and marched up and down the street - the same pain occurred within 3 minutes. I swapped to my old shoes and was fine. I have no idea why these should affect my ITB this way, but they do, so sadly I'm returning them.

Way too narrow. And also a truly ugly shoe. This blue color is just so unappealing. I tried it because the reviews were good. I'm just so tired of all of these name brands continuing to crush our toes. Every single running shoe needs a wider toe box. This is so unhealthy for our feet. I'm an athlete and this is an epidemic across all brands. The negative community reviews are right -ASICS has ruined its brand for women. I would not recommend these.

Run small

They both said size 8 but they were not at all the same size shoe. The left fit fine but the right did not. And I can go between a 7.5 and 8.

Show developed hole in toe. Poor quality

I usually love Asics and these did "fit" well. However, there was absolutely no arch support and I felt like I was thumping walking around in them. I would not be able to walk or run in these for actual exercise. These had to be returned.

The sneaker was just very uncomfortable - no cushioning on the bottom - felt like I was walking on a cement floor

Order half size than I normally wear, size 10 versus 9.5 and the length was good. However, I returned the shoes due to the color. The champagne/birch color combo was hideous. Don't know what Asics was thinking. They look worse than old lady shoes. Hopefully I can find a better color option.

I buy Asics all the time and not liking these gel ones . I wish they had these shoes with out the gels.
