Even in the EE width, these feel more like a regular width. They're just barely wide enough to be comfortable.

I returned them as it wasn't clear to me that the upper area of the shoe is basically plastic...synthetic leather. If felt like my foot was going to melt in them and when I walked you actually hear the plastic crinkle as it moves. They felt ok on the sole, but overall, not good.

After wearing the Gel Res 7 for a year and being happy with their performance, I was hesitant to try the next generation. After having worn the Gel Res 8 for 2 months now, I'm happy to say that these are my favorite shoes ever. They do feel slightly heavier than the Gel Res 7, but make up for it in terms of softer, more flexible upper and flexible but responsive outsole, making them feel faster on the court that the Gel Res 7. The best part was there was virtually no break-in time unlike with the Gel Res 7. The Gel Res 8 felt comfortable out of the box. The only negative for these shoes are that they come with shoe laces that are too thin and too short, same as the Gel Res 8. Before I tried these on court, I swapped them out with 1/2" wide x 59" long oval shoe laces purchased on Amazon. I do use the last lace eyelet for heel lace locking, so if you don't do that, you should get shorter laces.

These shoes are stiff, and run narrow width - too much so for me, returning for another brand.

Best shoes I have found thus far for Pickleball. Play 10 very aggressive hours a week on hard surface. Very supportive and comfortable.

The fit was perfect for me. I read that the shoes ran a little narrow, so I ordered a 12 EE and I’m usually a 12 E. However, the fit was perfect and I’ve played in them three times already. My feet don’t hurt after playing , so the support is great.

Great support and cushioning. I only wish It offered a higher ankle support, specifically on the heel, as sometimes the heel comes off the shoe because of my power step insoles.

I really wanted to like these shoes. However, I tried my usual size 9 1/2 but I couldn’t get my foot in. So I ordered a 9 1/2 wide. I was able to get them on but they were tight across the arch so I ordered a 10 wide. They were also too tight across the arch. The shoe has these two straps with zero give under the laces which are the cause of my problem so this pair is going back too. The shoes are super light and look great. I wish they worked for me.

It's a decent shoe; but the gel 7s were perfect, I dont know why they changed! The toebox and the heel arent as comfortable and snug; just don't feel as stable. Luckily I bought a few pairs of the 7; hope they come back before I wear them all out.

The previous reviewers don’t seem to know what they’re taking about. This is THE only tennis shoe I will buy, I’ve been buying every version for years. These came recommended by my doctor years ago when I struggled with plantar fasciitis, and since I started using them years ago my plantar fasciitis has stayed gone. Don’t listen to these other reviewers (who apparently don’t know their true foot size).

They work really well. I don't even think of them when I'm on the court. I love the wide toe box and insoles, they fit my flat feet well.

i play highschool tennis and had reconstructive foot surgery in my freshman year. Due to the stability of this shoe and it's capability to reduce impact force, I keep returning to it over any other ASICS tennis model. Seriously recommend this for comfort and durability, and it certainly lives up to its claims of being for "baseline" players.

Bought same size as my old running shoes, but these are my 1st tennis shies from Asics. Fit immaculately and have performed incredibly well on the court. Super happy.

I blindly ordered knowing ASICS running shoes fit well. Thought I'd give these a chance. Fit is as expected. The shoe has been supportive and seems to handle movement and cuts well. Best shoes I've had in a long time for tennis / pickles.

Love the way it handles pickleball court. My running shoes were really bad for balance. I would not have broken my elbow if I had these shoes.

Good fit and arch support. I have had these for a few weeks for playing pickleball 3-5x per week and love the gel cushioning and side to side support. A bit heavier than previous shoes, but they are much better quality.

The best shoe in your tennis / pickleball lineup. Only problem is you never have them in stock. Please get them in stock and bring back all the color versions so I can buy multiple pairs.

I was having Achilles tendon discomfort and found relief with mt Gel-Resolution 8s. They are comfortable, stable and I can play Pickleball more confidently. They seem to run a little large but that was a recommendation from my Orthopedic doctor to size up.

It's rare when I find a pair of shoes that fit me this well.....like a glove. Haven't tested on the court as yet.........but I can already sense these are 'A' quality.
