This did not appear to have the same amount of cushioning that my others have had. The complete black was just not my style because of the design of these-it looked more like a work shoe or an orthotic shoe. I loved the nimbus 19's but after that I believe ASICS has changed the toe box and it is just too narrow for my foot, that is why I have to attempt and order a mens shoe.

Picked this shoe based on recommendations since I have a tendency to roll towards outside of foot- slight supination. First pair had to go back- ran narrow. My true size in a wide worked fine. They aren’t a great looking shoe and the uppers seem flimsy. They seem to stretch and lose shape, very little support, foot slide on uneven surface. Keeping them for few weeks to see, may be ok, but won’t buy again. For the price point- they feel cheap.

Despite advertising showing someone running through the incoming tide on a beach, run through a little puddle in the road and your sock and foot will be saturated as the top material is no protection whatsoever. The top material will also wear thin and eventually tear at pressure points. Having paid full price for these I am disappointed and feel slightly misled about the lack of water repellant.

The soles on the forefoot area seem to be wearing out quickly. Third pair I have had that have done same thing, getting less than 300 miles before having to replace. Hopefully these will last longer but after 30 miles not looking good. Most of my miles are walking so not putting a significant load on the front part of shoe.

I thought these shoes would help my feet, I'm still dealing with burning sensation in my arches and will need to find another tennis shoe to help.

Different design from style 21. No support for front of foot and my toes floated around with no support. No way to tighten. I am long time customer of gel nimbus

This was the third pair of Nimbus trainers I've bought. But the design has changed. It seems the heel is lower so that I bend it over when putting my foot in and it pulls my sock down.

Fast wearing shoe. Didn't get but 5 mos. out of them before the upper part of the shoe, the mess-type material, began to tear apart. And I typically get 8-9 mos. out of a shoe before the sole is worn out. The soles of these, particularly under the ball of the foot, is pretty well worn out. For the money I expected these to last longer. They didn't. :-( However, they are very comfortable and were true to size. I'd buy them again if they didn't wear out so quickly.

Extremely wide shoes! I have a wide feet but those are too much for me! Also they run a little smaller. I got size M13 and I feel that shoes on size smaller. So if your feet are wide take one side bigger. I can't say about performance because I've been used those shoes as a casual but cushion doesn't feel soft.

I've been wearing the same size for 8+ years and replace twice a year (US 10.5 EE). This pair was more narrow and shorter on the tow. Foam heel was also much softer than normal. Not sure if it was a bad pair or result of a change. I'll have to try on before I buy again.

Very comfortable but it's my third pair because the mesh toe box rips. Expensive shoe for that type of annoying problem.

This shoe was all off compared to the last ASICS I purchased. There was very little arch support, the shoe was a little long, and the right foot was too narrow (and that is my smaller foot).

Very comfortable running shoe but suspect manufacturing quality. Only 2 weeks old and after my 4th outing in them one of the lace eyelets has come away, Which is disappointing for such an expensive trainer. Apart from that I like, hopefully the rest of the shoe will fare better.

The shoes looks good but lacking from the comfort zone.I am usually an 8 so I got an 8 in women but as days goes by I noticed every time I walk my toe hits the edge of the front of the shoes. The way the shoes is design it puts your toe towards the front. I wish I got a size half bigger .The shoes was fine at first but it was not lasting long.

Shoes felt fine. Once I started running longer distances( longer than 8 miles) my toes are rubbing . My knees are also giving me some problems occasionally.

The side support on the upper and sliding tongue was a issue from the first run. I would much rather have the 21's again!

A classic that is unfortunately falling behind the times. Too much technology out there that has not been used. Sock like upper, lighter materials and a redesign of aesthetics are in desperate need.

I usually wear a Hoka Bondi or Clifton. I wanted to try something in another style/cut to give my foot some different support. I am recovering from Plantar Fasciitis and in the Hoka...able to walk relatively comfortable 2-4 miles daily. I began to have PF pain after about 30 minutes in this shoe! It does seem to be cut narrow and does seem to come up high on the foot. Even with Powerstep Max it was not comfortable to me. I did wear Asics Cumulus and Kayano years ago...I guess my foot needs have changed.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka

I just got my Gel-nimbus 22 knit. I honestly thought they were going to be a pair of great snickers to work (I am a nurse) and they were a let down for me, especially for the price, They feel heavy and the sides of my heel started to hurt at about 11 hours after using these snickers, and they also feel heavy. I also have a pair of Excite 6 which are great, no pain at all, and super light, so I have to go back to Excite 6. The color of the nimbus is really nice, though. I will not return the product because i like the color, but I will not purchase this model again.

I have been running in Asics for over a decade. The nimbus have been my go-to distance shoe for the bulk of that time. There was a sweet spot a few revisions ago that was able to combine the plush ride with some ability to pick up the pace. I PRd my half marathon in nimbus 20s... Anyway, these 22s do not share that ability. Comfortable, yes... pace, no. I have found these to feel like two pillows strapped to my feet. Cushy, but any effort at medium pace results in frustration, as these shoes just dont seem to want to cooperate with that, intstead they just seem to suck up the energy. I really want to love them, but in the end, they are just OK.
