Pleased with accurate size and fit. This particular Asics shoe is not their top of the line model, but for the sale price it is a great value.

The shoes look great; understated style, bright bottoms and feel true to form. The cushioning is ideal for walks. I have yet to take it on a run yet but I usually use On Cloud Cloudfare's as my running sneakers and those are hard to pass up. I will take it out for a 4-5 miler soon and see how they hold up. Will update my comments accordingly.

These are almost the same shoe as the 6, but I am not complaining because I loved the 6. I am a soccer player so I need to run on a daily basis these shoes are great. The only reason I am giving these a 4 is because they don't have the best traction and support. If you are trail running or even hiking with these then you might not want to get these. Over all very satisfied.

After about 100 miles of walking and running, they are decent shoes for $60. They are pretty comfortable, fit well, and are fairly light. Probably a better walking shoe than a running shoe. The fabric on the inner heel already started to tear and there is more wear on the sole than I would expect at this point. If you’re just walking in them they are great and should last a long time and serve you well.

Bought these for my daily 3.5 mile walk. Finding shoes that I can walk in without creating blisters on my heel is difficult. So far so good.

Really like the shoes, but they were too snug in the toe area. Even with a thin sock, they were too tight.

From toe to Heel and side to side this shoe is great. What is not so great is how short in height the shoe is. I wear Asics 12.5 4e and this shoe has gaps between the sides of the shoe and the Tongue when I put it on. Now I understand I have Fat feet with a tall arch but there is less material there than my Asics Cumulus -18 by a quarter of an Inch from the rubber sole to the top of the fabric

Fits well, true to size, very comfortable with good lateral and arch support, good cushioning. Only issue is lesser traction/tread than desired on wet surfaces (slippery). Otherwise, a great value and great fit shoe. I'll buy another pair.

just recieved my order.im a long time Asics wearer.Quality and size are good .The width was slightly narrower than what i like.I checked against my Brooks sneakers and they are not as wide, both are 4E.Im hope with a little wear they will stretch a bit.For the price it seems fine ,the Brooks were twice the price.

Agreed with other reviewers: a 4E used to be a W. Maximum type cushion is good for a 20-mile week, moderate flat/lightly-pronating runner. Asics should do better with colors and styles in wider sizes.

Solid shoe for neutral gate ... I use as a recovery shoe ...I do my distance and pace runs with Kayano so these are a good recovery ...Especially for a wide ...but honestly spend a little more and get the Pulse ...Pulse is very plush by comparison

They're ok; spend the extra and get a better shoe. They're ok for day to day wear but not much support for running

Great shoe for comfort but durability is kinda joke. I go through 2 pairs a year. If they built them to last, I would recommend them more to my friends.

Immediately comfortable but not enough heel support for asphalt walking. I suspect the sole won't last very long.

Considering the Amplifoam insole is on the thick side, I think the shoe could have had more vertical room. I had to replace the insoles with thinner ones. Height issue aside, I think it's a very balanced and light walking shoe.

Initial review. I’ve only worn them once over thirty minutes. I rarely find a wide shoe. There is a dramatic difference in stability and roll of the foot. Minimal arch support. Heel is soft. Forefoot feels firm but comfortable. I was weary of another ASICS product because I wore a hole in my Gel Nimbus toe-box uppers after six months. $150. These seem the same quality but half the price. I would gladly buy two pair for the ability to have a new shoe. More to come.

I have the Gel Excite 6 in the exact same size and width and the 6 is MUCH roomier. I bought the 7 because I couldn't find the 6 anywhere but it's one of the few 4E shoes that really feels like a 4E without being too long.
The 7 feels much tighter in all respects, but especially in the forefoot area. The volume is very low which takes getting used to after the Excite 6's roomy feel. Even just putting your hand inside the shoe and pushing up on the back of your hand against the tongue of the shoe---whew!! Tight, with no give at all. Also, the mesh feels more present in the Excite 7. It seems as though the whole shoe is made of it and there's very little structure. Perhaps that's why it feels so tight? Maybe the mesh is trying to do two tasks: breathe and shape.
I'm hoping the Excite 7s will loosen up a bit over time and that Asics will go back to a higher volume shoe with the Excite 8 whenever it gets released. If they don't I won't be able to wear Asics anymore.

The top is entirely too delicate...I got a hole in the top mesh area within days of having this shoe...
Once that happens, it just gets bigger and bigger over time...I've barely had these 6 months now and can pop my toe through the hole :-/
A wee bit of a bummer to have a shoe torn within a few days of owning.

I read the reviews on this model and bought them based on everyone's feedback of it having a decent rating for moderate arch. These are completely flat and have no arch too them so I'm not sure what that is all about but I had to return them as I need a good arch support. I wish the zappos site had a better filter for arch support.

There is a subtle ridge in the insole which puts pressure across the bases of the toes. This produces a dull ache in this area after less than an hour of wearing, and after even less time walking/running. It is hard to notice initially because the rest of the shoe is so comfortable, particularly the flexible mesh upper and spacious toe box. I got these because they seemed closest to the old Excite 3, which served me well for years. Sadly disappointed.

This was my first pair of ASICS running shoes and I wasn’t sure exactly what size to order. I have ordered several pairs of Nike running shoes in size 15 M and they have been too short, unlike many previous Nike running shoes I have ordered. Decided to order size 16 M ASICS running shoes and they were a full size too long. Had to exchange them for a size 15 M which is my true shoe size. Nike shoes have become horrible to order because of the inconsistency in the sizes of different shoes.

The fit was surprisingly roomy around the toes, length was good, no arch support for my high arches but that can be fixed. Overall the shoe is okay and serves its purpose as a running shoe. Of course there are better running shoes out there and priced for the wealthy, but for $60 I am not complaining.
