The shoe fit and felt very good for the first month or so of ownership. After a month or two the shoes started to become uncomfortable. The way the shoes tighten to your foot is not the best. I find that the laces closer to the top of the shoe become a lot tighter than the laces closer to the toe. This makes the shoes feel unsecured to my feet as it is tight on top and looser in the toe area. This tightness causes moderate discomfort on the top of my foot and I find the need to readjust the laces and retie the shoe to alleviate it. They can be readjusted so that there is even tightness from the toe to the top of the shoe, but it goes back to being tight on top and loose on the bottom very quickly and it not worth the time adjusting it over and over. If you are one of those people who has to have both shoes equally tight on both feet, these shoes will drive you crazy as that is hard to achieve. The second thing that bothered me was the piece of hard plastic around the heel of the shoe. The plastic began to angle inwards toward my Achilles heel and ankle. This makes it very uncomfortable to wear. I do not know what caused this. I always unlace the shoes to put them on so this did not happen because I stepped into them onto the heel support to get them on. Aside from these issues, I liked the shoe. They did feel very nice for the first couple of months. For reference, I run on average 7 to 10 miles per week on dirt and asphalt in these shoes. P.S. I was given a lot of compliments on the shoes, if that matters to you. I purchased the tuna blue/white pair.

Asics please go back to old sizing. Another nice shoe that doesn’t work. Thanks Zappos for taking time to help.

These would be great if the inside heel hadn’t started disintegrating within the first hundred miles (a couple of weeks). They are now unwearable — the replacement pair, too.

I bought the Gel Excite 7 because I needed a new shoe as I ease back into running after a brief hiatus to prevent injury. I've run up to 5 miles in this light pair and my feet feel fine. I'm not getting quite the shock absorption I'd like as the impact refers up through my joints to my hips, which doesn't usually happen. For now, it'll do the job for low- to mid-distance.

I no longer believe that I have to "break in" my arches with a pair of running shoes. Though these were exciting to be wearing I feel that after trying on many running shoes/athletic shoes/sneakers that I should feel comfortable as soon as I slip into them. Unfortunately, this just wasn't the case. Also, can anyone pont me in the direction of transparent and updated ETHICS scores of these major competing athletic entites? Thanks.

Despite the description that this shoe is for under pronators it is clearly made for someone with flat feet. The side walls are very short and the shoe did not close over my high arches despite feeling like it was the right length and width. It also has significant aech support. I generally look for a flexible sole. Nice looking and a good shoe for those with flatter feet.

I m thoroughly unimpressed. I am a casual runner; I run 5 mi daily year around. As such, the amount of cushioning in these shoes is thoroughly lacking. I have run in them for about 3 weeks now and I am giving up- donating to Good Wheel. I have had multiple other brands over the years: Hoka, Adidas, NB. These pair of Asics is the worst hands down.

I really wanted to love this shoe. The shoe bed is comfortable and the arch support is perfect. As I began to walk though, my toes touched the top of the shoe and uncomfortably rubbed; I found myself balling my toes up to keep them from rubbing.

Sides of the show did not keep form. Was two small as well. Front of the shoe pushed against front toes. I wear 9 1/2 EEEE and the 10 was still too short. Highly disappointed.

I love the color and style of these sneakers, however I wore them to work , where I am on my feet a lot. Half way into the day my feer were killing me, the sneakers felt very tight in width , while the length was good, I notice my arch were hurting also.

Terrible quality. Wore less than 10 times and the fabric along the ankle tore, and the underlying plastic gave a blister.

shoes are okay but cheap materials. After about four months got a hole in the top of the left shoe. Still plenty of life left in the shoe but they are no good to wear for anything but around the home. I work from home a do not even wear these shoes daily, very disappointed, don’t waste your money.

Have always worn Asics athletic shoes throughout the years. These are the first ones I have had a real issue with. Bought a pair, liked the fit and style so well I bought a second pair. Wore both for walking and casual use. Within several short weeks a plastic piece in the heal on both pairs wore through the lining causing a couple of nasty blisters. Would not recommend this style of Asics. Have some new pairs of GEL- Contend 7. Fairly new but no issues so far.

These shoes were very comfortable, but they wore out around the back in just a couple months and a plastic piece was jabbing my Achilles. Super bummed they wore out so quick, not sure I’ll buy ASICS again I’ve never had a shoe fall apart so fast.

This shoe makes me so mad...I love the fit, feel, comfort, etc...but this is my second pair now and within a few weeks of owning, the top is tearing on one shoe leading to a hole that your toe can pop out of... The material/thickness of the netting is entirely too fragile. Ugh..

This is a Christmas gift. I am a little concerned about these due to your questions. Will your 30 day trial still count? I have ordered several times before and have always been pleased.

I ordered 9.5D. Zappos delivered 9H. That's an "F" in my book. Now I have to deal with returns, labels, time...

Horrible! Comfortable at first, but then the heel cut into both my Achilles! I’ve tried bending or working the heel out... but it’s always painful now. Tossed in the garbage in under a month. DO NOT BUY - they are cheaply made...
