All I have done so far is to try on the shoes for fit. I bought them as my next pair of walking shoes. Walk 4-5 miles daily so shoes need replacing pretty often. I am anxious to see how these feel during my walks. I have been wearing fila shoes.

The Contend 6 size 9 made in Vietnam are great although a little short. Too bad they were not made in Malaysia as the Contend 7 size 9.5 are about a half size too big! So what size do I order next time since I don't know where they will made? Do I try another shoe manufacturer?

I had a pair of these about 6 years ago. They were quite comfortable. These ones feel like the same. I have other shoes from other brands in my closet, 2 pairs of these, and I feel they will my Go-To shoe when the weather turns colder and wet. N*ke design (and color ways) are not inspiring, A*dias design language doesn't talk to me. Regarding Asics Design. These are the Volkswagen of shoes. VWs design is that each VW looks like a Jetta, but Stretched (SUV, Luxury Model), flattened (Sport Model) or cut off (Golf). Asics are similar, but the only outside change is the color, the inside has all the difference.

Very nice shoe, very well put together. Has not experienced any inside wear like seam breakage or the sole pulling away from the sides. Expected a bit more cushion, but still overall very solid.

Great value for the price. Very comfortable sneakers after I added the insole from my last pair. It has its own, but it was lacking. Adding the old one gave it a much softer bed.

Need to be careful with small details, there confortable.

Well rounded road running shoe. Sole of shoe is well constructed. Good for 5 mile runs. I will purchase another pair.

lightweight and breathable shoes, very comfortable

Good quality in an inexpensive shoe. I walk 9 miles every day, on a paved walking path, for exercise. The Gel-Contend gives me good support with adequate cushioning.

I liked the prior version better (color / quality) but these are close.

These are my very first ASICS shoes. I've always had New Balance and Under Armour. I decided to try this brand because it is very difficult to find my size. I find these to be very slightly tight but not enough to be uncomfortable. In fact they are quite comfortable and breathable. Would I purchase this brand again? Absolutely. The price is fair, the quality is great and it looks awesome!

Overall fitment is good, comfortable however very disappointed with shoe strings that came with shoes. Very spindley, lightweight. Am use to receiving my Asics shoes with a corded shoestring.

Regular shoes for your regular days, very confortables

For the price, I think this is great buy. I've been wearing them for close to a month now and they feel great. No issues.

Use these shoes for courier work I Change sneakers every two months and these are the best for a hard service

I use them for work as an RN. My feet don't hurt after my shift...that's a pretty good endorsement.

Good fit. Priced right. Would like the toe box to be a tad wider/less pointed, but still comfortable. I just needed something good for walking (not jogging or running). I think I'd want a little more cushioning for running, but not willing to pay almost twice the price. These fit my needs AND budget perfectly.
