These shoes have great grip and nicely padded cushioning for the little feet. Our 3 year-old went down the Shenandoah National Park's Dark Hollow trail rather steadily despite the slopes and wet, slippery grounds. And the fact that these are now THE shoes of choice for him everytime we head out, I'll say it's a good buy. I hand-wash them even though they are machine washable and they wash very well.

Bought this shoe for my son as him and his father go on daily walks and I was looking for something with support. Unfortunately the size I bought was too small for him (recent growth spurt), but I'm sending it back to exchange for a larger size as I was impressed with the quality.

These shoes are so comfy and the size is just right! My daughter wouldn't take them off for the whole day! These shoes are just right for hiking and the fact that they are washable just makes it so easy! We are all so happy with this product!

I'm thoroughly impressed at the fit and quality of these hiking shoes for my 3 year old! So much so, where now I'm buying several pairs of Merrell Men's shoes for myself, and recommend their whole line to friends and family. You'll see, once you buy a pair or two!

My daughter has chunky feet, and these are perfect in the XW. They are tough as nails, and take her from the playground to the trails. Merrell is the only brand of shoes I'll buy for my kiddos!

These shoes are great for our little hiker. Excellent traction. She can run jump and climb without any issues. They also fit great no rubbing or complaints.

We are so glad to have found these little hikers after a lot of research for well-made, quality shoes for our toddler to hike and explore outdoors. They fit perfectly right out of the box with a little room to go (we purchased 7, although he's probably exactly 6.5 right now). He loves them, and I like how sturdy the treads and the structure around the ankle so he doesn't fall even on rocky terrain. We also love how simple they are to care for - washable, easy to dust off. Overall, while these shoes come at a higher price point than some basic finds, and I realize kids grow out of shoes fast, these are 100% worth it if you are an active family and and want actual quality!

I bought these shoes for my 19 month old daughter for hiking. I got her a 6.5 Wide, which is a half size bigger than her normal size so that she can hopefully wear them longer. I really liked that these shoes came in half sizes and also offered wide. These shoes are lightweight, have excellent tread, and are working out perfectly for us. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey for a toddler shoe.

These shoes are very sturdy, yet very comfortable for my 4 year old. Sizing is as expected, using the print-out guide.

Comfortable, sturdy shoe with great treads. Easy to get on and off: the loop at the heel is a good size and makes it easy to grab to pull the shoe on. Also awesome that they are machine washable!

wonderful shoes, just ran small for my kiddo so they didn't last as long as i had hoped for. the grip on the bottom is great and he loves wearing them. they are overall tighter than regular shoes, which is to be expected but feels like they ran somewhere between half to a full size small on him.

The year is 2021 and the last time I checked, shoes are an item that is strictly worn on children's feet, so I'm confused by the gendered separation here. If you do insist on separate genders for different colors, Then why do girls get one, while boys get three? These seem to be comfortable for my blue loving daughter so far, and have good solid soles for rocky hikes.

These sneakers are very well made and have great traction. I bought them extra wide for my son's thick feet and they fit perfectly but I wouldn't call them extra wide. I can't put him in thick socks because they don't fit at all. I thought they would be a little roomier but they still seem comfortable without socks and they look like they can withstand a beating from an active toddler. The sneakers look cute and are fairly easy to slip on. The downside is that they are pricey for shoes my son will outgrow quickly and they are not as wide as hoped.

These shoes are adorable and very well made. However, my 18 month old boy had just cracked the code for walking and these were not a good choice for him. I ended up returning them because they were just too heavy and stiff and he could barely walk in them. For a kiddo that is older or had already mastered walking they would be great. I could see myself repurchasing these for him for hiking in a year.

My 2.5yr old son has wide feet for his size so we got the extra-wide. They're still a little more snug width-wise then we'd like them to be but there aren't many good options for an extra-wide shoe of this quality. Which brings me to my next point: the build quality is good but the black rubber coloring scraped off the toes after the first use. Purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the functionality of the shoe in any way but something to keep in mind if you expect them to look new for a little while. He charged right up a steep dirt path that gave him trouble with his last pair of shoes so the traction seems good. He plays in the yard and scrapes around on sidewalks like every other toddler does and they appear to be holding up to the abuse. I'll buy they next size up for when he grows out of these.

Reliable and great product. My kids love it!

I bought these for my grandson in need of a new pair of sneakers. I found that they seem to run a little smaller than the shoes I had bought here as well as his Nike sneakers, so I had to return for a larger size. But with the correct size for his foot he loves them and wears all day long. His only other concern with these is my 3 year old grandson likes to dress himself and these sneakers are a little tougher for him to get on. The velcro closure gets stuck in the eyelet limiting the opening width. More importantly he says his feet are very soft

This is my second time purchasing these shoes for my son. I went up half a size this time, knowing that they run small. Well, the minute I put them on him he started crying in pain; he is verbally delayed, but when I asked him if the shoes were too tight he nodded. Compared to all of his other shoes these are definitely at least half an inch narrower.
