These were great looking shoes! However, as another review mentioned, the top is very tight across the top of the foot. My 7 year old was not able to get these on by himself because they were so tight. When I put them on, he immediately said they were hurting the top of his foot. Will have to return.

Kind of tight. Things are breaking apart after less than a month of use. I have got other shoes that have shown these marks of wear and tear after months of use. Not 1 month! Will not buy ever again. Going back to NB.

My 11 year old son has wide feet and is really rough on shoes. Merrells in W size seem to be the only shoes that fit him comfortably and can also last a while. His only complaint is that they are not as "cool" looking as Sketches (his favorite brand) but the comfort factor is making him forget about the style. I have not seen him put different shoes on since he got these babies.

Good length but too tight across the top of the foot. My son has narrow feet and the strap just barely reached across enough to fasten. He said they hurt the top of his foot when he walked. Great looking, durable shoe, but had to return them.

In less than 2 months these shoes are coming apart, so much that I had to super glue the Velcro strap back together. I have always bought Merrill’s for my older son but it seems as though their quality continues to deteriorate. This should not happen for a $50 shoe especially since my 4 year old isn’t hard on shoes at all.

My 7yo kid chooses these over light up sneakers. That’s pretty much the most ringing endorsement a 7yo can give…

These are fabulous for my son who has wide feet. I’ve bought them in three sizes now- I replace them whenever he grows out of them.

My 4 year old son has wide feet and these are perfect for him for hiking. They don's squeeze his foot and he is able to put them on and off by himself with the velcro. 10/10 would recommend. Merrell is a great brand.

Love the color and the style. Easy slip on and worry free of shoe laces for my 8 year old.

This is our 11 year old son’s 4th or 5th pair of Merrell’s? He wears them hard, hikes in them and they wear so well. We bought this pair in February of 2020 and it’s June 2021 right now and they still look great. Slight fabric rubbing off inside the shoe and the sole is worn but still look great and has plenty of wear left so we can hand them down to friends. Going to just get the next size up because these shoes hold up so well!

Fit and size great. This is his third pair in 3 years. They wear like iron.

These are the only shoes my son wears. He's 10 now and has been wearing these for the last 4 years. As soon as he outgrows them, we buy the next size up.

Great hiking shoe my sons wore these hiking up to 4 miles in Colorado with no discomfort and they have great grip on rocky trails. Easy to toss in the wash after a long hike as wel!!

Great shoe for my kid Kept buying shoes from target and had to replace them every 4-6 weeks.Merrell shoes are build to last.

Fit and size were great. The only reason I am returning this shoe is that the foot bed was supposed to be removable and it's not - it's glued in on one side. I wear orthotics and need the foot bed to be removed. I have tried to pull out glued foot beds in the past, but I am left with foam stuck to the bottom of the inside and I don't get a flat surface for my orthotics.

The fit is great, and true to the size guide. The quality is excellent and my grandson loves them.

My son who is 8 years old said these shoes fit great! They don't seem to be too snug or too loose in any areas -just a good fit.
