Pretty decent for trail running but a little unstable around the ankle. I even tied the laces through the top most hole and the shoe still slides more than I'd like. Also, the laces are pretty short if using that top hole. I like the cushion and arch support and it fits my wide foot better than most running shoes.

Love the look, the tread is super bouncy, comfortable. The only issue I seem to be having is that they feel a bit tight, I used my normal socks, tooo tight, used thinner socks, my foot slides around, and the little strap they have to keep the laces secure doesn't help. My feet end up feeling way to hot. I do have wide feet. I dnt know, I didn't want to give a lesser stars simply because it may be me and not the sneaker. But they are uncomfortable in that aspect. To tight on the top of my feet, and my feet end up feeling like they are burning at 4 miles.

I tried the Caldera based on the "find your shoe" part of your site. I got to try them out on trails in CO and they work as advertised; gripping even the loosest stones on the trails. They are comfortable, but light and I feel stable in them. My only issue is that there does not seem to be much arch support in them. I have an average arch, but they left me feeling a bit flat footed, especially when used on the road rather than trails. I would say, if you are older and need decent arch support (used to be standard in all shoes) go for a high support model, not average. Brooks has always been known to be "good for your feet" so I was just a little disappointed in the lack of arch support. Love the laces though! They don't slip & untie like other materials and they seem a little more durable than other materials.

For several years, I've run in the Cascadia for everything from a 3 mile to a 50km (which I loved but couldn't find anymore...are they discontinued?), and this was my first time trying the Caldera (bought the same size). A bit more roominess in the toes, and quite a bit more room in the heel - for the steeper downhills, my heel was sliding around on my first run...I've switched to wearing my thicker running socks, which seems to be working well. Overall, it's a comfortable and springy shoe - I'm only about 25 miles in, so I'm hoping they work longer term and for longer runs. I was a bit bummed that they didn't have the pocket in the tongue to prevent laces from coming untied (like my last two pairs of cascadias), but so far they are staying tied!

I first tried Cascadia 14 and they did not work out for me at all. Had to return them. A friend was running in Caldera 4 so I decided to try them. They are mostly comfortable, I've only worn them once for an 8 mile trail run.

I like the shoes because they are lightweight and comfortable but they don't provide much support for trail running. The material on the top and sides of the shoes are thin and I've been getting blisters and not enough support for running on the uneven trail ground. I think I like my Hokas better.

Comfortable but too wide. I wish I got half a size smaller.

Cute but too squishy for me. Weak Ankles may be my real problem, however wearing these shoes left me with ankles and shins that were very sore by the end of one hour walk. They were very comfortable and I could probably wear them for short periods of casual walking around. However they will not work for me as a real workout shoe.

I really wanted to like these as the traction and cushion and design are great. However I always wear an 8 in my previous Brooks Revels (3-4 pair), so I ordered the 8 but the toe box was too big. At first I though that it might not be an issue, but despite constantly adjusting my laces from too snug to too loose and everything in between, my toes kept going numb. I wondered if the elastic band across the laces was causing the problem and was too tight, but the only way to know it to cut them, but then you can’t return the shoe. I really wanted a Brooks trail running shoe, but for now, I’m just going to buy another pair of Revels.

Brooks is my go to work out shoe because of bursitis in my feet. I've had two other pairs of Calderas and love them. This one came with a miss manufacture where the tongue is sewn into the shoe. There was a large "bump" of fabric/stitching at the base of the tongue, making the shoes unwearable. I'm awaiting another pair of the same shoe in hopes that this was a one time mistake in the construction.

I've loved almost everything about these shoes except how they've held up. I got them in May and immediately loved them. I run about 25-30 miles a week and by July they both started developing holes on the upper fabric on the inside of my foot by my big toes. I don't have a wide foot and don't normally wear my shoes down in this spot. The soles have a lot of life left in them and I've liked everything about these shoes, but am disappointed in how they haven't been very durable for trail shoes. My friend has the same shoes and wear spots in the same places on her shoes. I'm not sure if others have had this problem too.

Previously wore the Caldera 3, and these don't seem like an update, but more like a totally different shoe. I wore an 8.5 in the Caldera 3, and it was close to being too short in length, but fine with very thin socks. I liked the 3 because it felt low and stable on trails, but still cushioned enough on the road. With the 4's, the fit is completely different. The 8.5 is really big, my feet are sliding around in them. I could not make them work on the trail - tied super tight they hurt my feet, but loosening the laces meant my feet slid around in the shoes and I kept rolling/sliding sideways off the platform of the sole. The shoe also felt very high off the ground, very different from the 3. I ordered online so wasn't able to try a smaller size to see if that would help. They did feel very cushiony, and I LOVE the teal color - almost kept them just for that! So - they might work great for you, but if the 3s fit you well and you like them, just be aware that these are really different.

I like the look of these shoes and was really looking forward to wearing them however they slipped on my heel and made it sore. I did like the width of the toe box compared to other shoes. Sadly I have returned them.

I started these with trail running and quickly found they didn't provide the support my arches needed on soft earth. So I transitioned these to my work shoes. I'm a nurse and while initially I thought they were a good work shoes, I ended up developing plantar fibromas over the last 4 months. Now I'm looking for solutions, unfortunately, this isn't it. I do have high arches and prone to plantar fasciitis.

I thought I was really going to like these, but the toe box was too wide. I got bad foot pain and blisters 10 minutes into my run and my feet were burning at the end of 5 miles. Just too wide for me. Wish they came in narrow. I will be returning them.

The overall comfort of the shoe is unmatchable! Feels like I'm walking on clouds. However, the heel part gives me blisters. At first I thought it was just me or the socks, but I loved the shoes so much that I encouraged my mom to buy them too. Sadly, she's having the same heel problem. We both developed blisters.

I followed the recommendations to size up, which did not work out for me. I usually wear an 8.5 in sneakers, so I got a 9. I've worn them a couple times now and each run has left my feet super sore. My guess is they are too long for my feet. So, the narrower heel pocket hits farther up my foot, at the section where my foot naturally widens. They might fit like a dream in a smaller/ shorter size! The shoe is very comfy and bouncy, but I'll have to return them due to the discomfort caused by the fit.

I did not like them because the arch was weird. I took the "shoe quiz" and I bought the design that I thought would like to wear. I should have stuck to the design that I have been using for the last couple of years. But shoe designs change, and so does one's body from time to time. Additionally, I thought the springy shoe would make me spring with my pace. It was just the wrong shoe for me.

This shoe was not very confortable for my long walks, so I decided to buy the same ones I originally had the Adrenaline GTS 20.

As another reviewer wrote, these shoes felt like I was walking on clouds. Super comfortable. Unfortunately, they were so cloud-like that I could not feel my Rx orthotics support in them, so I had to send them back. If you don't have wonky feet like mine, you might be able to enjoy the exquisite cushioning of these shoes.

I just started getting back into jogging/walking for exercise so I wanted good running shoes.... which I've never purchased shoes for JUST running... these were super cushiony, but wide as heck. I have narrow feet and my right foot pronates pretty badly. The soles felt super thick, like I was in a platform almost. Had they fit a little better I probably would have given them a chance but I don't like for my feet to "swim" around in my shoe. Would've been nice if they didn't come in such drab colors either.

If you want a roomy (wide and long) toe box, this shoe is for you. My feet are on the narrow side of medium and I can sometimes get away with a roomier toe box by wearing thicker socks, but this shoe is too roomy for me. I normally wear a size 8 or 8.5 in a trail running shoe. The 8 was too large. Also, the shoe is stiff out of the box and may require break-in time--another issue for me as I like to be able to wear them right out of the box.

This shoe did not make it past the try it on stage with me. I normally do not wear my Brooks tennis shoes in a wide but I could have used a wide with this shoe. It does not come in a wide so I cant even re-order. It has more of a pointed toe.
