To me... the shoe feels solid, sturdy, firm. Especially the whole sole. Better suited for walking than running.

Why are they soooo ugly. Just because we need support does not mean that we don't appreciate cute designs and fun patterns. Slap some cheetah on these and add some cushion whike your at it.

I recently purchased a pair of mens Dyad 11 size 12 extra wide. The fit was on the generous side in the toe box but the length was fine. Overall quality was fine except for two issues. The first was minor as the collar lining pilled within the first day. Looks a bit nasty. The second issue was the midsole felt firm. Firm ...like dead. After a couple weeks the midsole has softened up some but still feels like a running shoe with 6 or more months of heavy use! My year old Nike pegasus 38's have more midsole cushioning in my opinion. Very disappointed in the lack of cushioning.

Love the styling and thought I'd love the fit but the designers put a hard (and I mean hard) plastic edge just along the outer edge of the midsole so as your foot strikes the ground (and the foot expands a bit) that hard edge irritates the crap out of my foot. Sorry Brooks designers, I ordered an extra wide 14 4E and this plastic edge is not going to allow me to run in these. Back they go.

I am not a runner but a walker who walks 4 to 5 miles per day. I started with Brooks wearing the Adrenaline and then the Ghost but the height of the arch in both gave me foot pain. I switched to the Dyad 10 and found the shoe I needed. I happen to take a size 14-2E and wear thick Cushee brand socks. I bought the Dyad 11 when the 10's were no longer available. I find the Dyad 11 to fit a bit tighter as it seems to be more structured. There was definitely more "give" in the 10 version which I liked. Haven't given up on the 11 yet. I am trying to find the proper lacing tightness and may even have to go to a thinner sock.

Hurt the outside middle of my foot.

I run with an arch support and the Dyad line has been my go to running shoe for the past 5 years. This pair (Dyad 11) provided the same comfort I expected. However, I noticed the heel lining wore out quickly. There are two quarter size holes down to the plastic in each shoe. Now, the shoes do have 500 miles on them. I figured I had a "lemon" and came back to this site to buy a new pair. I have read several reviews with other customers having the same issue. I am willing to give these another try (if I can find inventory). I hope Brooks figured out their quality control issue.

The insole is probably medium rather than low arch. Should have more option for the inserts. Still trying to get used to it, keep fingers crossed.

My last 6 running shoes have been Dyad. They have been great. This last pair is the style shown. I am disappointed with the lining in the shoe. It has broken down and has holes in it in the heel area. None of the other pairs I have had have this problem. The lining material has changed in this last style change.
