Shoes fit just right with good, supportive fit.

Having difficulty finding the correct length and width in this shoe. Finally decided going up one size to 13 and down one width to XW was best fit. Brooks wonderful supportive shoe and Zappos incredible show 'store'!! Thank you Zappos

Extremely comfortable. No breaking in needed. My orthotics fit. My “go to” shoe. Have another pair in different color.

This was a repeat buy for me and I had been fitted originally at a local running store. They had me get a half size up from my regular size and it was perfect. The shoe is cushiony, supportive, light weight and comfortable. I like the wide toe box. I have balance issues, so was looking for something with goos stability. This shoe works for me. Since I was replacing a worn out pair, I knew what to expect and got what I was looking for.

my "go too" shoe for walking and exerciser. Like walking on a cloud.

I have had so many pairs of Brooks over the years and really love them for walking and hiking. This pair was a bit stiff out of the box (thus the 4 stars for comfort) but they eventually broke in pretty well. I’m a big fan of Brooks for my slightly wide feet…worth every penny if you walk a lot!

The fit is good and felt fine on my first walk in them. Only time will tell on how they hold up. Was finally happy to have my size in stock. Really wish they would make them in pink or something fun and girly.

Brooks is always a solid choice for support and fit

While looking at other Brooks styles, I checked these out and decided I would try them. Wasn’t sure about the stabilization on sides but turns out to be great feature. These are nice & wide - and I have wide feet. Toe box is super comfy. Very good support. Would highly recommend.

Flat feet is my major foot issue and have hard orthotics. I also have knee arthritis. Although talking about knee problems when reviewing shoes isn't the norm, for me there is a correlation. I've worn Brooks Ariel for several years and have loved the fit and cushioning. Because I am an over pronator, I look for shoes to help with this problem and Ariel fits that bill. When I ordered a new pair of Ariels and the sizing was off, and many of the reviews were not favorable about the material wearing out, I decided to try other brands and styles. Here is my Goldilocks story. I first ordered Brooks Adrenaline. Although fairly comfortable, there wasn't enough cushioning for me. I then tried Apex (a brand Zappos doesn't sell). The shoe fit well with a lovely wide toe box but there wasn't just wasn't the cushioning I like and there was nothing fashionable about the shoe. Then I tried Hoka One One Gaviota. I thought I had found the perfect shoe. Good fit and lots of cushioning with many colors to choose from. However, after wearing them for a while I found that they were too cushioned and my knees were getting painful because there was too much side-to-side movement in the knee joint. I was beginning to get worried about finding a shoe that would work for my old tired feet and knee joints. I ordered another pair of Ariels, half a size up from my normal size, and it was like coming home to the perfect fitting shoe. My only complaint is with the colors available. After seeing the wide range of colors that Hoka One One has, I really wish Brooks had more color choices. But fit is more important than fashion when I comes to my feet.

Ariel 20 is an excellent example of good looks, comfort, and support! If you pronate but still want a youthful look these are the shoes for you.

I was able to remove the included orthotic, and replace with my orthotic, and it was a perfect fit! Very comfortable and very supportive. Love the light color.

Love the Brooks Ariel 20! I have all 3 colors.

These shoes are perfect for me after my foot surgery. They have enough sole and arch support that the doctor is satisfied, yet the wider and taller toebox allows my foot to swell without causing me pain.

Except for the color choices, I love the Ariel ‘20. I bought both the black and the almost-white a while back and have worn them all the time. I just got the “new” color (gray) and love it even more. The tongue is longer which feels much better on my feet. The insole seems softer but that could be because it’s new. I really wish these shoes would come in more colors for those of us who wear wide shoes and need support. And if I could have any color I want, it would be something in the brown shades. Other than that, the shoe has enough support for me, doesn’t hurt my bunions and is soft inside. My narrow heel doesn’t slip when I walk. I do not run in these so can’t comment on that.

They feel good too wear.

The shoe was high quality and I liked it, but heel support was not as high as my previous Brooks and my feet slipped when I walked.
