I use these to run in, and as a heavier chick with flat feet (I technically have an arch, but years of bad shoes have let my tendons get all loose, so they flatten out when I step) these are a lifesaver when running. Running still hurts, but nowhere near as badly as it does in old, worn-out shoes. I really need to just commit to buying a new pair of Ariels every year... and not skipping a year. :)

I have very cranky feet - bunions, very high arches, almost no padding on the bottom, long toes. Shoes hurt my feet and I've tried a lot of different shoes. These are great. Wide toe box, pretty good arch support and cushioned soles. They don't hurt my feet anywhere. I have bunions and they don't hurt when wearing these shoes. I bought wide width but I think medium would have been fine. My only complaint is the lack of color choices. Only 2 colors and one is black. Those of us who want comfortable shoes deserve more choices.

A terrific shoe for active, plus sized women. Lots of support. I never have trouble with sore legs or feet.

I love the shoe fit and structure. It gives stability without sacrificing comfort. That said, there's a definite breaking in period for this shoe. But, once you do it holds up well. I've taken it through national parks, miles of road, miles at the gym and in my experience it truly holds up the distance they say it will. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was strictly cosmetic. They have probably 15 options for ppl with average width feet but only 3 for people with wide or extra wide and typically they're not even all in stock... Even when ordering directly from Brooks. People with wide feet want to look cute too or at a minimum want you to keep the 3 you do make in stock.

In my books, this is a big improvement over the 2018 Ariel. It's held up better to use, has more "spring" in its step, and just *looks* better. I am a lifetime severe overpronator, and am heavy to boot, and these shoes take pressure of my ankles and knees and make going through the day a pain-fee experience. I like them. Sadly, what others have noted is also true: that Brooks is not making shoes the same way as they used to. The price is the same, but the shoes feel cheaper. I still have a pair of old (very old) 08s and a '14. The quality of the materials isn't even close. The older shoes are robustness personified. The new versions...they provide the support and stability and motion control as advertised, but for how long? I am not the most active person and I've yet to have a shoe in the last two models last 1 year. Brooks still provides what I need better than anyone, but in their standards, they seem to be a shadow of themselves.

They are too tight and too short in the length. Worse Ariel I ever bought in my life. So disappointing. Toe box is too narrow.

Disappointed that this sneaker fit snug since all the other Brook sneakers I've purchased have been great and TTS - not this one. This was a nice looking sneaker but I suggest sizing up half size.

I started having difficulty with plantar fasciitis after wearing these for several weeks. I wasn't aware that it was the lack of support in the shoe which exacerbated the issue. The Ariel 18 was a superior shoe. I had 5 pairs. Loved them. No problems with feet or knees. Please bring back the 18's!!

I have been wearing Ariels year after year after year and they do such a good job of making sure that I never have any pain and they are fabulous and I never wear anything else. BUT For the '20 model I got a hole in my left one by my big toe within just a couple of weeks I contacted customer service they were amazing and they replaced the shoes with a new pair which was fabulous three weeks later there's a hole again At that point I just gave up and dug out an older version that I still had in my closet and I've been wearing those and hoping that the next generation is better again and back to the way the old ones used to be!

They were a just a bit to narrow and I had ordered a wide width. I walked in these shoes once and by the time I got home my toes were numb. They were returned.

Weirdest thing is that the back of the shoes say “20” on them, so when you’re walking you’re feet say 2020. Not really a year I want to be sporting, but I have been wearing the Ariel model for so long and nothing comes close to the fit and support for me. I don’t love the light color, but Iiked it better than the black. I also felt like the sole of the black shoe was taller when I had one on either foot. This model is still the amazing shoe Ariel always is for those of us that need support and my feet are always happy to be in a new pair.

This is my 5th pair of Brooks, GTS 17, 2 pairs of Ghost 10 (owned one pair at a time), Launch 6 and now the Ariel 20. I love the comfort and support, very stylish, too. I am a runner and go thru sneakers. I used to wear New Balance, but my sister turned me on to Brooks 3 years ago, and I have not turned back. Now my mother wears them, too. I would recommend Brooks to anyone.

very comfortable, but seem to have less support than same shoe from previous years. And of course, that is why I buy them (for the stabilizing support). I'll have to wait and see how often I'll need to replace.

I wear Brooks for comfort and fit. I have ordered the same size and width for at least ten years. This shoe/model is either not a true 10.5 (too short) OR Brooks has reduced the width of the toe box. I do not have the space in the toe box that I have had in all my previous Brooks' shoes.

After about six weeks they started collapsing on the outside edge and caused my ankles to supinate. They should have lasted much longer. They were really comfortable for a few weeks.

I've liked Brooks in the past and wanted to love these, but they are too narrow for my feet (I ordered the 7 extra-wide; my width measurement is 4.5"). They seem well made, just not as wide as I'd hope for with an extra-wide shoe.

This was my 5th pair of Ariels. They have been very supportive up until now. I think the updated style has completely changed the amount of support around the ankle and not as much cushion. I tried running in these for three weeks thinking I just needed to adjust. I had severe ankle pain, side and bottom of the foot pain. I ended up returning these and purchasing Adrenaline instead which has way more support than the new Ariel. I gave these sneakers two stars because I do love Brooks overall. Overall, very disappointed.

I love Brooks and these are comfortable in a soft, squishy way. My other styles of Brooks are a little more supportive but I kept these because it was like walking on a cloud. Sometimes I need support and sometimes I need a cloud.

I ordered these shoes from suggest of PT. Recent ankle reconstruction surgery. I need support and stability. I feel so much better in them, they are really helping in my recovery.

I loved my first pair of Ariel '20 so much, I bought a second pair. The shoes were initially recommended by a person at the Foot Source to address my plantar fasciitis. I immediately felt the comfort of the sole and the roominess in the toe region. I still have to wear orthotics inserts but, I can walk for miles in comfort. Any way you can make it water resistant?

I like the full support that the shoe offers. I normally wear a size 8, but I think I should have ordered an 8.5. I also like the stretchable fabric on the sides which helps accommodate bunions. I am not a runner, but walk 4+ miles a day.

This shoe is exactly what I need. Great support, with a soft cushion inner sole, provides maximum comfort.
