Comfortable, stable and durable for larger runners. Have had many pairs of these shoes and recommend them to my patients.

I like that the tread wear is minimal on the Beast '20 as compared to the Ghost series, whose tread wears out much quicker.

I like these better than the previous design. These feel as if they have more stability and support. They even feel like they have a slight cushion. They?re not as supportive and comfortable as Beast in the past but they are still my go to shoe for now.

It's a great shoe in terms of everyday life. I purchased it to walk/run and it just didn't fit my needs.

Wearing this shoe for many years. This may be the best iteration of it. My knees no longer allow me to runk, but the shoe is wonderful for a walk.

This was my go-to shoe for about ten years. The support has eroded over the years and now there isn?t enough left. Thanks for ten years but it?s time for a new shoe

NOT a running shoe. These shoes are worn everyday in the office. The most stable shoe made. That is why I have been wearing the Beast shoes for ten years. Typically they last a year. I do have the toe reinforced by a shoe repair shop before I start wearing them. If not, my toe starts tearing up the cloth material (big toe area). Brooks changed the strength of that material a few years back to less forgiving design. That is the only weak part of the shoe.

I?ve had the 16, 18, and now the 20. Always enjoyed the walk in these shoes.

I understand some of the concerns expressed with the changes to the Beast; my first 100 miles on the Beast 20 is clearly different than the 18. It feels softer and lighter which concerned me because I pronate but so far, it has held its shape and actually feels good. I'll withhold final judgment for 500 miles.

Beast 20 is running smaller in width and length than Beast 18. I take 13 4E (14 4E was to big) in Beast 18 and first pair of 20 shoe is tight. Width okay and with mesh front shoe is working. Do believe it is well cushioned and stable plant. I walk 6 plus miles a day and be curious to see how long pair lasts before cushioning deteriorates? Be nice to have more color selections also.

The style is ugly but the support is excellent. They look like the shoes you would buy in an Amvets magazine all they need is a Velcro strap. But I am 72 with a large build and I walk. I had to stop jogging at 53 after 33 years. I should have purchased size 13.5 but it was not offered.

I've been in the Brooks running shoes since the mid 90's and this latest version of the Beast may force me to look elsewhere. When I turned 50 I needed more support for my feet, knees and hips and I moved from the GTS to the Beast about nine years ago. As we all have learned in buying running shoes almost every year will bring a new update, style or some sort of change. This new version has a much lighter weight, more cushion and less stability. I have now put on just over a 100 miles on my 20 version and it has put much more stress on my feet, knees and hips and even in my lower back. I'm 5'11 and 185 lbs. and I need the stability to help with the kinetic feedback that comes from running on the pavement and come up from my shoes into this 59 year old body, that runs about 8:45 to 9:00 pace a mile. I Just went online and ordered a pair of Beast 18 from Holabird Sports. If you have any suggestion's, I would welcome the input. I need the stability of a 13 to 15 ounce shoe, without all the cushion.

I returned my pair of beast 20?s. You should have received them today. Sorry to say that for the first time in 20 years and many pairs of The Beast, I was very disappointed in the new version. IMHO they are inferior to the great versions of years past....they don?t have the cushion or support of the ? 18

I am on my feet twelve hours per day, five to six days per week. My feet, knees, and ankles were giving me a fit. After my purchase, I have seen a huge improvement in how I feel after a long day at work. A second pair is in the works.

Easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I had the Beast 14s before these, and these seem to be even better, and I loved those! When it comes time to replace these, it'll be whatever the current Beast series shoes are for sure.

I returned them. Very uncomfortable. I am a loyal Brooks customer and have purchased many pairs, all the same size. The fit and performance on previous purchases were perfect. This model did not work. It was slightly tighter than other models and hurt my feet.

I have flat feet and heel spurs on both of my feet and I looked online and this shoe was listed as being one of the best for people with my condition so I thought I'd give it a try. Normally I wear Brooks Addiction Walkers and Dunham Addision boots but both are out of stock in my size and I couldn't wait for them to restock. At first the shoes seemed comfortable but I noticed right away that the heels seemed higher than my normal shoes and made me feel like my heels were being raised slightly like if you were wearing high heels, but not as extreme obviously. I then put my inserts that I get from my foot doctor in the shoes, the same ones I use in the other two shoes I normally wear, and it made the heel height issue even worse. I could tell I was taller when wearing the shoes, which I never noticed in my old shoes. I wore the shoes off and on for a few days to try and break them in before wearing them to work and I thought it would be fine. It was not. I work in a warehouse where I have to stand on my feet on concrete floors for 10 hrs a day and within the first two hours my feet were in so much pain that I had to go home at lunch and use my PTO to cover the second half of the shift. I brought my old shoes with me but switching back over to them didn't help. So I guess if you only have a mild case of flat feet, where you just need extra support but don't require special inserts from your doctor then these shoes may be good for you but if you use your own inserts then I would not recommend this shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks Addiction Walkers

Well first this shoe is a life saver for me. I been having to stand on my feet 8-9 hours a day. Without the beast I would be in so much pain by the end of the day. Hardly any pain with them. They feel great.

Feels lighter. Support is great A little shorter than the 18 Beast. Don't like the shoe strings, but that is minor.
