Great shoe! Very impressive construction, super comfortable for walking or running. I have been a Brooks Beast fan for over a decade, and this one may be the best yet. DN

They've ruined the Brooks Beast! :-(
I've been running in Beats since 2011. Being a heavier runner, the Brooks Beasts were the only shoes that kept my shins from being on fire. I'd only feel something when it was time to swap out the shoe. I used 2-3 pairs at a time, so they lasted quite well. Unable to find the 18s, I tried the '20s. I wish they'd given this shoe another name, because this isn't the kind of shoe I've worn for 9 years. Hopefully, they'll relent and at least make the 18s or even 16s again, so some of us have options.

The Brooks Beast 20 are the best Running shoes I have tried for runners with flat & wider feet. I have been running 3-4 times a week over the last 9 months, for the first time experiencing no chronic knee pain I've had with other brands.
If you are a larger guy who likes running or long walks, these are superb shoes.

I have always loved Beasts. My Podiatrist selected them last year and they were great.

As a runner in the ?Clydesdale? division I highly recommend. Bought two pairs to swap them out. Run 4 to 5x a week 3.5 to 4 miles. Want to keep up the pace over winter running out doors. As I am 6? 2? and weigh north of 240lbs, great support and cushion as I get back into fighting shape.

I have been wearing Brooks shoes since 2012. They are the BEST. 3 months ago I bought another very expensive shoe. Doesn?t come close to my Brooks Beast.

Good shoe but 30.00 too much I wish you would put a rubber toe coating on the end top so the material doesn?t rip from toe nail

Fit (4E) extremely comfortably. Very comfortable running shoe. Support for over pronation is excellent. Recommend and would buy again.

Been buying the Beast for 25 years now. I like that they are lighter these days and seem to be as durable.

These shoes provide excellent stability and support. I do tend to wear a toe hole through the upper portion before the soles are worn

Still great shoes, but they do not feel like $160 dollar shoes. My husband has been wearing beasts for several years. The quality has gone completely downhill. They feel very cheap now. I wear brooks and love them but have noticed a decrease in quality as well. If you want to charge brooks prices you should keep up with brooks quality.

I bought these shoes for the same reason most people buy them: because my orthopedic doctor told me I had to. Yes, they have more support than any other sneaker. If you have serious foot/arch issues and live long enough, these shoes are your fate. They are comfortable, your feet will not hurt in them. But dear God in Heaven, they are beyond ugly. I used to care about shoes. I once had something resembling some kind of fashion sense. Now I can be seen in public with Brooks Beasts on my feet. This means I have officially lived too long.

I have been wearing the Beast for about five years. I need the support and the 4e width. The biggest problem with the Beast in the past was the thin mesh on the top of the toe box. My right big toe punched a hole in the top of all the past models. The 2020 Beast seems significantly changed. The style has changed and the material used on top of the toe box is new. Perhaps I'm not the only one who found the old mesh top of the toe box a problem. The size is fine. My 13 4e may be a bit bigger than the previous model, which was a bit smaller than the one before that. I'll wear the new Beast for the next six months and if I'm still satisfied, I'll buy it again in the other color. I have been so satisfied with Brooks shoes that I have recommended it to others.

I have been wearing the Beast for years as it was always marketed/designed as Brook’s most supportive and sturdy shoe for stability, arch support, over pronation, etc. Until now, the Beast has lived up to the promise. The new version 20 is a disappointment. Brooks seems to have gone the way of many manufacturers who can’t decide whether to make a truly supportive/healthy shoe or switch to the house-shoe trend which is often form over function. The immediate differences in the 20 is the lack of arch support, stability/guidance, and the material is so thin and stretchy that the foot slides around. The stress on the foot is noticeable and I would not trust it to keep feet/knees protected beyond very mild strolling. In previous versions you knew your foot was cradled, aligned and supported properly; you could run, power walk or hike with confidence without pain or stress - which was always the reputation of the “BEAST”. I reached out to Brooks about the support system change, which they acknowledge, and they referred me to the Addiction 14. Tried the Addiction and stability was sorely lacking; knees and arches started aching within 10 minutes. Brook’s shoes, materials and craftsmanship alway stood above other manufacturers before now; I hope they will reconsider bringing back the same qualities that existed in Beast 18 and previous versions. Not sure where to go after my 18’s are finished.

I have had 60 years of crippling foot pain. Any shoe has needed to be worn in over a period of very painful weeks I purchased the Beast and walked pain free . Right out of the box! Ask any podiatrist and they will give you a list of 5 must have, construction features for foot support Brooks Beast has them all.
