I only run with beasts since it has been the only shoe that offers me great support, no blisters, and overall is a good shoe. This last time The pair I bought just ripped on the left side. It has never happened before. I bought the shoes last march but very minimal running. Is the quality decreasing? Disappointed since I really like this shoes.

Sad to say, but the Beast as we used to know it is dead. 2020 has made a habit out of tearing apart the old and ushering in the new but unfortunately, the new is not always better. Initially one can't help but be impressed with the look and weight of the new Beast but for the real runners out there who have relied on the stability and extra support the old beast provided, this is not your shoe. I was recommended the old Beast and it allowed me to run without being in pain, something I was unable to do before. After running with the new Beast I have knee pain, back pain, and shin splints, which were never an issue. While I am in no way saying that the new beast won't be favorites among many wearers, it simply is a broken promise to those who truly relied on what the previous editions offered.

I honestly was very surprised by how different the beast was from previous shoes I've used. I run 3x weekly and have been a Brooks customer for a while, and this is my favorite shoe so far.

I like the fit and the colors. It would be nice to have a bigger selection of color schemes for the Beast.

Got this for my boyfriend as a gift and he loves it. He is extremely flat-footed and said they're very comfortable.

Most excellent shoe. Supreme padding. Lasts longer than other shoes doing 5 days a week running. I love the extra support, saved my ankle being twisted more than once.

I am too old to run anymore but I have super high arches and am trying to walk a lot. I have the Beast 18 and wanted another pair of shoes so I can alternate. I use ortho inserts with both shoes. I like the Beast 20 just fine and feel the bounce as I walk. Finding size 15 shoes has always been a problem for me but the Beast fits well including my orthodics.

Comfortable, stable and durable for larger runners. Have had many pairs of these shoes and recommend them to my patients.

NOT a running shoe. These shoes are worn everyday in the office. The most stable shoe made. That is why I have been wearing the Beast shoes for ten years. Typically they last a year. I do have the toe reinforced by a shoe repair shop before I start wearing them. If not, my toe starts tearing up the cloth material (big toe area). Brooks changed the strength of that material a few years back to less forgiving design. That is the only weak part of the shoe.

Use case: Walker, 185 pounds, arthritic knees w/ no ACLs, medium arches, mild supination PRO Stable. I tend to tweak my (very very bad) knees when walking, and my ankle tend to roll to the outside. After ~20 miles, has yet to happen in these shoes, and they instill confidence like no others I own, including the ECCO Fusions I've been wearing for years. Comfortable. The footbed and upper are absolutely first rate. My heal is in a sports car bucket seat, while my forefoot is in a limo. I tried a pair of Adrenaline 20's, and they didn't compare -- like going from a Lexus to a Toyota. Style. Simple, sleek, sporty yet conservative. Could use a couple more colorway choices, but gray and black have it covered pretty well. If I have a word printed on the outside of my shoes, it might as well be "Beast." CON Cushion. Not a very plush shoe. Probably a trade-off for maximum stability, so I can't fault it as a design decision. I prefer the midsole of the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 22, but I don't feel the same confidence walking far from home in the ASICS. Flexibility. The forefoot is less flexible than many of my non-athletic shoes. I suspect his is another max-stability tradeoff.

Disclaimer: I have not had the Brooks Beast since around 2009 I picked up the Beast 20 because I needed more support and comfort and went on a long run and then a walk and so far these are great! Very good cushion and bounce with the right amount of support

The 20 fits much better than the two previous Beasts, which were somewhat tight. Otherwise, I am so far very happy with the fit and comfort of the Beast 20. I am always amazed at just how supportive and comfortable these shoes are.

Best walking shoe I've ever owned. It's so stable that I will likely use them for weightlifting as well. It's really two shoes in one. Remarkable shoe.

Great shoe. The drop helped my impacted foot (ligament tear). But the cushioning under the left foot started to ache within a week. Hence planning to return it and try the newer 23 model (still thinking)
