They run more narrow than the 17 and aren't as soft. Not sure if I'm swapping for a larger size yet.

I like the shoe. A little too narrow for might feet. I use orthotics for arch support--even with a "wide" shoe it's a tight fit the orthotic in.

Another great shoe from Brooks. No apparent need to "break in". Definitely built for a comfortable ride. On an aesthetic note- the white on white shoe strings were a bit much for the eye. IMO a grey string helped it out.

The Glycerin is my go to running shoe! I gave the 18's a 4 star rating because the 17's seemed to be lighter... am I imagining this? Just wondering what other people think who love the Glycerin shoe!!!

I've been wearing Glycerin for the last 5 years, I have two pair under my bed for the rest of this year as I train for the USAF Air Force Marathon in September. I love the wide toe box. My only wish is for the color scheme be brightened up and offered in the bigger sizes. (10.5 Glycerine 15-18)

Omg love Brooks running shoes! Got fitted at fleet feet for a pair of ghost 11s and fell in love with the cushion, the lightweight feel, and it feels like you're running on marshmallows. Sounds crazy, I know, but they really do make me feel like I can run for hours in them. These however, do run true to size, but I almost feel like I might have to return and get a half size bigger or at least go for a wide. I am an 8 Wide in Ghost and Brooks seems to run pretty consistent with sizing, so I should've ordered the same in these. Took these for a 4 mile run and it was such a cushy and light run, felt amazing running in these. Still as comfy as ghost 11s, but I like the look of these better. Love the neutral colors by the way! Finally brooks has shoes that don't come in loud colors! I wear a lot of neutral colors and like my shoes to match what I'm wearing, so the color was a selling point for me. Highly recommend these and their ghost series as well. Might return these and get them in wide, once they have it back in stock! :) overall satisfied!

Very comfortable shoe right out of the box. I ran an ultra last year and did just that! I wish for fun colors, like the pinks of the past... The shoe is a tad wide for my foot, I synch the laces to fit and have a pucker at the base of the laces. I typically wear a 9 and in the Brooks I always purchase a half size up. Mileage for this shoe is a little less than I'd like. I average about 200 miles. I'd buy it again for the comfort! I have purchased between 20 - 25 pairs of Brooks running shoes!

Great shoe, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COLOR SELECTIONS. Come on Brooks, get with the program! I've been wearing this shoe now since the 13 version and the color choices gets worse every version! A lot of us have spoken, now it's time for you to LISTEN and make it happen!

I'm recovering from a foot injury and have used the new Glycerin for walking currently. It's got great cushion and fits my foot well!

I am disappointed in the running shoe. The cushion is not any different from the Glycerin 17. In fact, it seems less to me.

I love the glycerins and use them for both running and daily activity. They provide great support and comfort. However, color/design selection is horrible.

I live my brooks shoes but I do notice that the back heel part seems to be rubbing with the 18 and I never had this issue with the 17. I have just had to make sure I wear my socks with the higher heel cover. Hoping once I break them in more it won?t be as noticeable. I really wish the glycerin was available in more fun colors as well.

My first 3mile run in my new glycerin 18 was great. My legs felt fresh and my mild ankle and knee pain was not present. Maybe this is due to the extra cushion in this shoe. I usually run in ghost or levitate for a light springy feel, but I wanted to have a cushion pair for longer distances. The toe box was comfortable and roomy without feeling bulky. Heel cup was deep enough to use an insole if needed but no so high that it blisters my rear of my ankle. My only wish for every sneaker is high arch support. I usually have to add an insole to fill the gap under my arch. This shoe was no exception. Overall I am very happy with my choice. Brooks, will you please make insoles that can be purchased separately? I would love that!

This is my second pair of the Glycerin model (I used to wear the Adrenaline) - great running shoe! Now that I have two pair on hand, I alternate each pair [every other day] for the purpose of balance and longevity. Please offer more than one color for those of us that have a narrow foot (reason for only 4 stars).

I love glycerine, it's all I wear. I run through 3-4 pairs a year. I'm just not impressed with the color choices. I am looking for Solid colors, colors, Meaning not multiple blacks. Bring back red, pink, purple, Lavender, a different blue... A little Brightness esp for spring and summer.

Amazing shoe - I've been wearing them for 4 years now. Please just make some better color choices! Notice the colors that sell out in past generations; those are the ones we like! Please bring back Rumba Red!

I am giving the stars because I love these shoes. But I waited a whole year for the 18 for some new colors. These are pretty bad. Bought a pair of the ghost in the summer, pretty shoes but I gave them away after 2 runs for lousy fit and feel. I want the glycerin, but I won't be buying the 18

Been buying Brooks Glycerin for work for a few years now, and I must say that this edition didn't meet typical quality standards I'm accustomed to with Brooks. They are no where near as comfortable. Cushion is definitely slacking, and the soles started wearing down relatively quick. I'm on my feet 12+ hours a day, and shoes can make or break your shift. Hoping things turn around for glycerin 19.
