The sole seems to be better constructed than the "26" series I had before, but the 2000 8 shoe does not provide as Much vision as the 26.

The shoe has great cushioning and looks great, but even with the Extra Wide size the shoe is still a little too snug. It almost feel like the shoe is not tall enough. So even having my laces tied lightly feels a little uncomfotable on the top of my foot. I have a big foot but its not tremendously big. Normal wide sizes of any other shoe fit fine.

Lighter and more cushioned than the Kayano 26- not as stable and correcting as the Kayano 26 yet still adequate pronation control. In my opinion a better value for money option than Kayano 26.

This shoe is sharp. Great feel too. I swapped the laces for black rope. Love the side view of these. One huge problem I had. I washed them, then stuck them into the dryer. Dont make my mistake. The gel is seriously gel! Mid sole will bubble, crack, and tear away from the shoe from heat. I never thought to touch it, and what I assumed was a thick solid transparent material perhaps rubber or plastic like, it's not. It's for real gel.. and in heat.. jello! I'm disappointed there were no warnings and instructions to proper cleaning asics should tell how delicate their gel material is. Otherwise, I would have loved them

The trainers is far too long in length but the width is tight which seems to be the case these days. There should be a version wider trainers. The material is quite good but there should be a version made from leather.

Fit is fine. Probably not worth the cost in comparison to cheaper models.

I am a big fan of Asics shoes and waited for a while to purchase GT 2000 before it went on sale. This shoe is not so comfortable compared to Kayano and Nimbus (I do own Kayano and Nimbus series as well). I would rather recommend to purchase Kayano or Nimbus. I wish I returned this shoe, GT 2000 but I am too lazy to go thru the return process.

Asics has changed the sizing on their shoes. This shoe is half a size bigger than their older shoes marked as the same size. The only way these work for me is by wearing thick hiking socks.

Don't like the feel of the 8. They are much more rigid and have a harder feel than the 7. Ran in these a couple of times - they feel firmer in the sole and not as much spring as the previous model. Would recommend skipping the model.

Comfortable on the heel but quite rigid and too narrow. Not suitable for someoje with a high instep.

this item was listed extra wide. it was not even close to wide enough.

I like the shoe but the sizing is off. I have a very similar pair of asics, size 12, so I ordered another size 12 and the new pair is at least a 1/2 size smaller if not a whole size. Just gonna deal with it and hope it stretches out.

They are awesome shoes, just a giant footbed. Looked like clown shoes on my feet.

Have a hole in the fabric near the ankle in just over a week, on one shoe

Had to chase twice for order confirmation. Had no confirmation for over a week.

I found them to have a narrow toe box and the shoe itself was too stiff for me.

My heel hurts after 2 hours of wearing. I don't have this issue with other ASICS products.

Really irritating when the sizing in a line of shoes changes model to model. I think my loyalty to Asics ends with the pandemic.

Way too tight. There is nothing extra wide about them.

I love the design but thats about it. There is no comfort in this shoe, my heels ache just after a couple hours of wearing them. For me, it does not have enough cushion in the heel. If this could be corrected it would be a great pair of shoes. I have searched for inserts previously but was unsuccessful in finding anything that would work. My old pair of asics were very comfortable but of course they don't make them anymore.
