The new GT-2000 Extra Wide now comes in a cool/new color scheme. They are as comfortable as all get out and I've already logged a 13.1 and 10 on them to be sure. The laces are still too short to tie effectively. With wide shoes ASICS should include longer laces.

inreally studied on pronation, and got thos shoe because i thought it would help correct my stride, maybe take away some foot pain, its dont the opposite, not the shoes fault i just need yo find the right one for me. Good quality shoe. It fits true to size, i just need it more cushion.

Light comfortable shoe for long hours on my feet, took a few days to break in, in my top 3 of running/working shoes.

195cm/105kg I usually find asics design a bit over the top/too much detail, GT-2000 8 in smoke blue/black are not, they actually look very good, stylish, modern but not in your face at all. Very pleasant. I have tried just about every current or past year asics model in last 2 weeks (except metarun- no shop seems to have them) and gt 2000 8 is, to me, by far the best shoe hands down. Directly compared them to Kayano 26 and 27, right foot- left foot and kayanos feel like sandals comparing to gt2000 8. These aren't too soft at all, I usually don't like too soft and bendy shoes, gt2000 8 are just perfect, soft and comfortable but foot is very stable, just right amount of support left to right without being intrusive. They bend easy but not too sloppy, again I don't like hard bending shoes but at the same time too bendy isn't good neither, and it seems to me that asics have gotten this perfectly right. Foot control is great with these. Size: My foot is 30.5cm/305mm long and I have always had 46/11 size shoes. Definitely not the case with asics, size up was need in my case, I got this shoe in 47, however as long as next size up is available this isn't a problem at all. The tag on this shoe says 30cm/47 which was never the case ever before and 30cm was always to small for me(and it was always marked as 45), so asics definitely have their sizing off but as I said, that isn't the problem at all actually. These gt 2000 8 actually look very good in 47 and that usually isn't the case with larger sizes, these look good on the foot as they do in the pictures. 4 star reason: heel depth/ankle support. No these are not shallow at all, I believe this is to do with size and foot geometry, in smaller/normal sizes this will be perfect, just a few mm extra in larger sizes and this would have been a prefect shoe in every department. This however may change with use soon enough, I will update the review if that is the case, will keep quality in mind for that too but so far they seem like a high quality shoe. Highly recommended

Took a few runs to get used to as expected and previously had the GT-3000. Good support for ankles which I needed and comfortable. Already helped with pacing and would definitely buy again.

Easy process of purchasing the shoes and having them delivered to my home in a weeks time.

Fantastic trainer, gives really good support whilst I run and protects my feet from blisters and soreness. Just a bit disappointing as it would probably been my 4th color choice - all others out of stock.

I normally don't get "cute" shoes because I am a woman wearing men's shoes, but they have just enough pattern in the knit that they are cute to me!

Very comfy and well made feel like you could run for a few miles

I'm new to running and tried my old trainers for a run but they didn't keep me comfortable and supported, these do, amazing trainers, got lucky picking them.

Comfortable and light with the right level of support. Fits exactly as expected. I've now had half a dozen pairs of Asics running shoes, with no problems.

I just ordered these shoes about two weeks ago. I have put about 100 miles on them so far. I am 230 pounds, so I was looking for a durable shoe. This shoe is great for bigger guys. It has great support and cushion. The shoe runs a little big. The only negative thing I have to say about the shoes is the weight of them. They are a bit heavy and bulky. Hopefully this means they will hold up longer. Great for outdoor running.

Very comfortable, lightweight. Have used for short runs (5k) and longer 20k runs and equally comfortable

Good quality shoe. Looks amazing. Different feel to the version 7, takes a bit of getting used to.

Very good running shoe. Fantastic level of support yet comfortable to wear as a daily shoe. Overall very close to being 5*
