Use the pair for work to help reduce stress to knees and hips. Works well for this. As said earlier, annoying squeak coming from heel if right shoe.

I purchased the Max because they looked like the old "Shape Ups" that were discontinued several years ago. I absolutely loved The Shape Ups. I've never found any shoe anywhere as cushy and comfortable as those. If I'd known Sketchers was going to stop making them I would have bought a lifetime supply. The Sketchers Max are fine but they are NOTHING like the Shape Ups. For that, I am very disappointed.

I really wanted these shoes to work, but because the inserts are glued in I could not try them out with my own orthotic inserts. Only way to do that was to rip out the inserts and I did not want to take the risk because I wanted the option to return them. Also, the extra wide still felt a little narrow. Maybe with time they would have stretched a bit, I don't know. They look cool and are similar to the Hoka One One, but ultimately I decided that this shoe is an inferior imitation of the Hoka One One. Maybe if I could put my own insert in and try them out for a while, I could reach a different conclusion. But instead I returned them because of that issue. Doesn't Skechers not realize that many people wear orthotic inserts and it's much better to make shoes that have removable inserts?

as I stated above my first pair wore out from the inside first. Especially around the heels where my foot rubs against the inside of the heel.

I bought a pair of Max Cushioning Premier Elites and love them. I ordered these on line because they were on the same page in the catalogue as the White Elites. They are close but no cigar. The fabric on the sides is durable, light weight and breaths, BUT the shoe design with that fabric does NOT offer very much side support. The front of my foot would shift and could go over the edge. The rear of the shoe would allow my ankle to roll over and strain my ankle in a sudden shift in direction or coming down stairs. Very poor shoe built on top of the best possible combination of soles but poorly executed.

I am a serious walker and wanted a shoes for that but this is not the shoe. This would be good for standing on hard surfaces. Like the shoe otherwise.

The shoes have a very good quality upper and very nice standard laces. Unfortunately the shoes have given me blisters and a significant amount of damage to the shoes sole from tarmac and gravel paths.

Usually buy Brooks shoes as I'm an avid walker 8-10 miles per day. It is simply to early to tell as I'm interested in durability over several months of rotating my shoes!

The shoes feel okay, but not as comfortable as less expensive shoes I've purchased.

Good cushion but wider than I expected. Have other Skechers that were listed as wide but were not as wide as these. Good shoe but hard to walk in as is.

I purchased these shoes solely for the purpose of exercising (walking). I walk approximately 5 miles per day. My path is mostly asphalt and concrete. To-date, I used the shoes five times. They are very comfortable for walking and breath very well. However I'm noticing that the sole is breaking down quickly. They are wearing out along the heels and the center of the soles. This is too bad as I believed these shoes would help keep my feet healthy.

I bought these for work. I have plantar fasciitis and need a pair of shoes to cushion my feet as I stand on my feet a lot. Good for walking. Standing, not so much.

I'm a 52 year old over weight man, I Got these 2 weeks ago for walking exercise ( approx. 4 miles at a time ). They are very comfortable and the best trainers I have had for walking, The only problem is after about 40 miles (total use) I noticed very heavy wear on the soles about 3mm worn from the centre of both feet, At this rate they will be worn out in a couple of months.

Good shoe for exercising and walking. The one issue I have is that the extra wide, fits more like a wide. If possible try the shoes on before you purchase, or recommend getting the next size up, especially if you normally wear extra wide shoes. I bought this pair online without the ability to try them on first.
