I love these shoes SO MUCH! They fit nicely with thin socks or no socks, no break in required. The leather is soft enough that I know they'll stretch to fit even better. Most shoes hurt my pinkie toes but these have enough room for them. I've been looking for a cute everyday black shoe and am thrilled with these. Some reviews mention the lack of padding, and it is important to note that these do have a hard sole - but the insole is removable if you need more padding.

These do have removable insoles. Bummer to have to return this shoe, it's beautiful! I like everything about it, heel height and support. Due to orthotics I need to wear, my toes are crammed in a narrower toe box. Yet the heel is too loose. I have a narrow foot with narrow heel, but need more room in toes. This is with a 42, I am usually in size 10 1/2. Shoe looks and feels narrow.

I love the look of these shoes, but they were not comfortable for me. There is a hardness in the bottom that I felt through to my foot. It is too bad since I like the look of these and wanted them to work for me.

I love this shoe! I tried 9 other Oxfords before I found this one. First, the color is perfect! Other black shoes I tried were too shiny or the black too deep so they looked like it belonged with a school uniform. The black wash goes with everything. The leather is soft and I wore them right away for three days without any blisters or discomfort. I have an active job and long days, so I needed a shoe that was comfortable and professional looking. I ended up with a full size smaller than I usually order. They are feminine looking--I got another brand Oxford that my husband mistook for his own shoes, and the slight stacked heel is a nice look without being uncomfortable. I highly recommend this shoe.

I wanted a shoe to wear comfortably 8 - 10 hours, but the sole is too hard.

Normally I wear a 39 in Joseph Sieibel shoes but this pair I wear a 40. They work with my orthodics because of the laces! The show is not tight on top when I insert them. I am so happy they made this shoe!!!!!! Hopefully they make more like this in the future.

I usually wear and 8.5 (39) but they were too big. Sized down to an 8 (38) and they are perfect. They are so cute. love them.

I typically wear a women's size 7.5. I have better success following the EU sizing for shoes, in which I am a 38. I have an average foot in terms of width, heel, arch. These fit perfectly. Soft, conforms to the foot right out of the box. I'm wearing them with foot liner socks. I find the arch support good/average. The material on the soles, shoe leather is a bit multicolored, but this is not a sign of wear and actually makes the shoe look more broken in. I'm wearing them with jeans, ankle pants, Short skirts with tights or leggings. Classic Brogue style oxford.

I wear these literally all the time. During the winter I keep them at work and change into them when I get there so I can wear my snow boots coming and going. I wear them all day walking around inside with no problem. I ordered the 39 in these (I sometimes wear 38) and they are perfect. Josef Seibel has become a go to brand for me and is always comfortable on my feet. I have a bunion that troubles me and also a heel spur but these are fine. They look good with dresses or pants and I get a lot of compliments.

I already had the black ones and came back for these. I think I like them even better. The color is rich and wonderful. It's a very stylish shoe for a comfort shoe.

I wear either and 8 or 8.5 and the 39's fit perfect. I love these shoes! They are instantly comfortable. The last time I bought a pair of Josef Seibel shoes was 30 years ago to wear to France and I still wear them. I am sure I'll have these for a long time as the design is classic.

This shoe is extremely comfortable for an oxford! I wore it all day the first day and had no issues at all! I would highly recommend this shoe! It is very nice looking with almost anything you care to wear!

I loved this shoe except for the heel slip. The leather is quality and I hated returning them, but even though this is a lace-up oxford style, I could not mitigate the enormous amount of heel slip. My heel could easily have come completely out of the shoe even with the laces close together.

I love them. They felt somewhat stiff and a little tight when I first put them on but they softened quickly; I never even noticed I was wearing new shoes except when I looked down and saw how stylish they looked.

My daughter has a pair in a larger size and loves them. I really like the way they look so thought I'd try a pair too but my heels slipped out too much (I have narrow heels) so these were returned.

These shoes are excellent for my work as a pastor. They are stylish. I love the flat black leather with brown laces. They go great with my black slacks. I can wear them anywhere and feel comfortable and professional.

These are a really well made shoe. Love the way they feel! The heel feels slightly loose but they do not slip off. They look great and I wear them to work. Very happy with this purchase.

These are well made shoes. Bought them to wear to work. They feel so good on! Am looking forward to wearing to the office with suits/pants. The heel is a little loose, feel like my heel could slip out but once the laces are tied, it's fine.

Josef Siebel shoes fit everyone BUT, If you have narrow, long feet you MUST try this brand. I have "difficult" feet and I'm always between sizes. Most of my shoes are size 8, and some of them I've had to stretch a little bit. 8.5 shoes feel and look big. And then came Josef. I'm a solid 38 (7-7.5). This is my first pair of non-sneaker-type shoes from this brand and I'm loving them. The black is not shiny or to dark, making them very versatile. Great quality, as always. I'm giving them 4 stars for comfort because they may be a little hard to wear with seamless socks, but they're still brand new, so that may change.
