Pretty to look at and cushy, but the back of the heel comes up high and is irritating. Also the tongue is attached creating more of a slip on shoe. This was not clear from the catalog description.

Love the shoe but ran narrow for me and needed more width in toe box

I ordered these shoes and i didn't except the way they fit. I find them difficult to put on and very trying. The first two times were hard to put on, i am keeping them, because like any online order they will be hard to send back. i look forward to order a pair of shoes that have tongue that is separate from the soul of the shoe. I will be more careful next time and order the shoes according to my number on my old pairs. I have been wearing new balance for about 20-25 years now and enjoy them. I have about 10 pairs now and they are getting abit old and need new ones, I will keep looking.

Purchased the shoe in spite of reviews. Back too high and rubs heel.

The shoe seemed to be of high quality. However, this particular shoe was not wide enough to meet our needs and did not come is a wider size. Returned.

The back heel is super high and digs in. Otherwise, the shoe is comfortable.

Love the look and I get a lot of compliments. It comes up very high in the back and, unless you wear high socks, it rubs your heel raw. Bummer!

the back tab goes up so high and gives you terrible blisters.

I love my runing shoes in a beatiful neon color. But the heel part material, is very very SHARP. The first day it made me a deep red scrach, that one week after, it is still there. In both ankles. painful... I still wear them every day with a thick sock.... until that part heels.

I've been a N. B. fan for many years. I left briefly because I wasn't finding them the same reliable product, but I returned knowing New Balance is still the BEST shoe out there. I selected this FuelCell Echo because it's so wonderfully light weight. I don't care for a Heavy Gym Shoe. I put them out & thought they could work. But they do not. For a Wide size, they feel Narrow, I can even see part of my foot Buldging on it. The Length is also short. I didn't realize this at first simply because my faith in New Balance & my concern was the reviews the Heel got & for me getting the Shoe on, (not as smooth as it should be to slip into a shoe) but now I can not only Feel but See my toe all the way up without that good inch space. I'm extremely dissappointed and Cannot return because I was so sure NB works for me, I threw the Box away.

The back part of the shoe rubs and is very uncomfortable- so sad because the shoe is so cute!

As you walk/run the heel of the shoe causes sores and blisters due to the placement of the heel.

These shoes dug into the backs of my ankles and rubbed the skin raw, leaving blisters. That was with them being half a size larger than my normal size. I returned them and would not recommend them at all. Very uncomfortable

I love NB and wore their sneakers exclusively for over a decade; however, upon purchasing two of the same sneakers in different colors, I discovered an unacceptable defect in both pairs. There was a ripple in the left innersole that cause me to experience pain when walking. I returned both pairs for a refund. I love NB, but... :(

I love this brand but this specific style is really uncomfortable. The heel is really stiff and digs into my heel. Also weird to explain but the shoe is all around stiff and makes walking uncomfortable. I ordered this online and tried to wear them before I just decided I didn't like them but I'm not happy with this purchase. I would not recommend this particular style. Overall disappointed with this purchase.

I ordered two pairs of this shoe in different colors and both of them have a defeat in the innersole.

I love the color of these but they went back immediately! The heel is high on the back of my ankle... it is made of an inflexible material with no give. It left red imprints on the back of my ankles from walking around the house! And I have very skinny ankles. Not recommended.

So, wore them one with high socks, they are GREAT on my run, 4.5 stars. Wore them once with my usual socks for a literal walk in the park and I'm bleeding, The stitching on the back of both heels are very poorly done! There's glue or something that just rubs away the skin. It's too late to return them, but if I could, after wear number two, I would.

I couldn't use these. The upper on the back pushed into my heal making them uncomfortable. They didn't work for me at all. New Balance is amazing and offered me a free no hassle return and covered the shipping. I ordered a different pair already.

I didn't like the fit. The back was too high and my foot was being pushed forward.
